Looks like a Ford Fiesta-sized car. Could sell millions
No, it won't
Yes it will
Like hotcakes. People are learning the superiority of Teslas
@@stuartj5520 yes it will! IF you put an engine in it…!

Tesla is a piece of junk...
The Model 2 is THE EV that would be a huge success in Europe. Happy to see more small cars coming to the market.
They get cars from China too though.
@@mervstash3692 Yes, but with the tariffs (if they go on with it), chinese cars lose part of their advantage. And chinese brands mostly bring big cars to Europe (at least until now).
Remains to see how "small" the model 2 will be. 4 m long, 1.7 m large like a Renault Zoe ?
@@johngonon1507even with tariffs, the Chinese cars are so much cheaper it balances out. I don't see Tesla making a model 2. Kind of pointless now when they've had to drop prices so low of the other models and demand still dropping. Doesn't make any sence to move forward with it now. It would make more sence to revamp the current models.
@@mervstash3692 Revamp the current models. What does that even mean?
@theodorehaskins3756 release new versions of the models that actually sell. You know, what literally every successful auto maker has done.
To think a leaked picture from Berlin is authentic is dubious at best when everyone knows the design studio is in Fremont CA.
lmfao it is 'highly evidenced' he said
They're developing the Model 2 at Gigatexas because their best engineers are there and they don't want to move to Mexico.
Tesla ships vehicles all over the place preproduction measurements, thinking about tooling, looking at the new assembly methods, etc, etc, etc. So... why is it so preposterous?
Give it style, range, and a good price and they will be a segment leader.
I wish it had an extended hatch like the leaf. Very practical! Just better looking please 🙏
Have since July 1st a Tesla Y. Now I can understand, why some people like a smaller car. Down to the underground garage is the way curved. While driving down, all the time collision warnings.
So why the priority for the cybertruck, a vehicule almost only the USA market would be interested? And this video to show a photo? Will it be built?
If that's what it looks like, I'm buying a Tesla for the first time ever! Looks so much better than previous models!
Same I like hatchbacks and don’t need a big car
Will it be rainbow colored?
My favorite bit is it floats in space! 😂😂😂
Antigrav tech confirmed 😎
Tesla Hovercar is real. Just like in Blade Runner. Sign me up!
First thought to me is that it looks like a Ford Fiesta.
The looks don't do anything for me and Musk's piblic behaviour turns me away from Tesla these days. Once upon a time I would have gone for a Tesla but over the past 3 or 4 years the gloss has gone.
I don't factor the CEO of the company in when I buy a car. If the price is right and the features are right, I will buy.
If it’s £30k in the UK which is basically the same as a good spec petrol Golf, it will be a massive seller. However, don’t expect to see it here until 2026.
Looks a nicely designed Car… Ben you mention the ID1 - have you heard when the VW ID2 is going to be released ?
Love your honesty and integrity. I hate sites that have sensation headlines and create fictitious content just to get subscribers. Congratulations!
Paused the picture of the incomplete Model 2 (assuming that is what it is). I'd be very happy with something like this. Might be looking smaller due to the camera angle. Mini Model Y would be awesome from a practical standpoint.
Looks nice - guessing it will have lights more like the new M3
Well I hope Motor 1 got it right, because that looks great :)
I'm excited to see more EV car companies releasing more affordable compact EVs. That could drive the next big uptake of EVs which until now are mainly sold for the more financially well-off population. The Hyundai Inster is a very interesting compact EV. VM ID.1 also looks quite appealing. If Tesla would bring Model 2 to the mass market and be successful, that could in turn get more EV companies into this segment of the market. We know how others are looking at Tesla as a leader in the field.
Like your vids mate, also the more affordable end focus. Like the size of the M2 render…. I’m patiently waiting to see what battery chemistry Juniper will have, hopefully the Shenxing…. if the model 3 started shipping w. Shenxing battery I’d order now….. I’ve waited since 2022 when wait times were long and ultimately canceled an order for a M3LR due to house fire insurance job still in progress after 3 years, and lucky I did as not only the prices significantly cheaper from my initial order, a refresh has come out as well….. not in a huge rush, I can wait another 6 months if necessary. The model y is just too ugly, tho far more practical than the 3…. which I suspect I’ll order hopefully before price rises.
In anything but the short term battery chemistry will be mostly independent of the vehicle. They will be more closely linked to vehicle price.
If the price is right it will be a big seller, especially in Europe, possibly the new best selling car. I like Teslas I just can't get on with the "one screen / no buttons" thing
even if it's slightly over 25k I'll get it. I am waiting for a smaller Tesla for years now.
The model 2 will NOT use the same chassis as the Cybercab. In a recent meeting with JPMorgan Tesla's Director of Investor Relations said they will build robotaxis off the next generation platform that won't launch until the company is much closer to fully utilizing its existing production capacity, which may take several years. The Tesla Investor Relations team went on to say Tesla's next wave of growth will be led by the introduction of lower cost models (plural) that are expected to roll out in force by 2025, and will not use the next gen platform which won't roll out until around 2027. We also heard similar language, from Musk and his team, in the last earnings call.
Seen in Germany?
The Model 2 is being developed in Texas.
I enjoy your younger take on this. Even if you're just some 10-15 years younger than me, I explored your take. I can't say I'm on on your step on this, yet I can see how every generation is different and values it's own. So, hence no disregard or respect, yet I know that everything exists in its i n way, time and manner.
Be well, from me.
Small and Electronic. Thats what we want. ❤👍🌹🌹🌹
😂😂😂 All cars are electronic but not all cars are electric.
@@kyliefan7 Even ice cars are electronic. Without a battery they can’t even sty😂😂😂😂😂
I do hope this is right, because after teases about it drawing styling from the Cybertruck, I was frankly dismayed. Tesla make such beautiful cars, it would be a travesty to go down that dead end again. Let's hope it's a small hatchback, which is what we want in Europe.
you mention "unless BYD..." BYD has said that they will not be pursuing the U.S. marker for the next decade. and there is speculation that they would have to reengineer the car for U.S. safety standards. so, I think that speculation is a non starter (for now.)
Might get more info August 8
There is no such moniker called model 2!
would b cool to c it released on 08/08
lol.. that model 2 looks like it’s just missing it’s ford fiesta badges.
That VW looks pretty sweet.
I thought Tesla is going for compact SUV, the most popular type
Ford fiesta clone anyone???
HA HA HA !!!!!!!!!!
"Confirmed..."
That irony is absolutely amazing!
Looks good enough for Europe👍😎
All of the 25K price point cars that aren't Teslas have one thing in common not in their favor. Ten words back,... starts with a T. They aren't that!
I am still routing for tesla. but its a bummer that the model 2 will probably start at like $40k for 300-350 mile range. in three years, we will get a 250 mile range for like 30k. tesla needs the money try and solve FSD and try to get it approved by regulators.
Could sell well. People.who buy these.cars don't seem concerned with their looks.
If it comes with 500+km of range under 25k euros it will be insane popular
Why woud they make the model 2? They have already been forced to drop prices that low that the idea behind it is pointless now.
This thing got dropped in March. Internal communications at Tesla confirm it. Any department working on the project were informed to cease.
Unless they plan to raise prices again.
@@leonardoreina1655 the price drops are due to demand. The entire EV industry is slowing down & going back to ICE/Hybrid. Demand isn't going back up anytime soon.
@@mervstash3692 we will have to see
looks like ford fiesta.. which isnt a bad thing.
Who cares 😊
It’s not a great thing!
I just wish Tesla wasn't bullied into releasing this project in a very abrupt about face from their plans 6 months ago. If Tesla wants to be around in a big way in 5 years they need new products and fast. I hope the design is not just a retread of the existing lineup though because while it was cool 5 years ago? It not looks a bit dated...
New BEV sales is a bit of a cat fight just now. There are too many players willing and able to sell BEVs far below cost of production. I would not look for totally new cars from Tesla. It would be tossing away money on each car. Hopefully we will hear more on 8/8.
Looks nice, Tesla needs to hang on to its brand identity while still coming up with fresh up to date products in the BEV space.
Why did you say the batteries should last at least 10-15 years. Today's batteries (2024) are offering useful range for at least 20-30 years, far longer than the car itself.
I would imagine the front to more resemble the new sleeker Model 3 rather than the old one with the rather unattractive and bulbous "grille" area. I hope so anyway.
"I don't have permission to show that footage." LOL What a fraud.
Why does no-one spell check their text ? You put all this effort into your presentation and my first take-away is: "this guy can't spell GENUINELY"...- sorry... You are in good company BTW...
💩how much will the monthly subscriptions be to keep this things software going?
I am hoping there is an AWD,steer by wire and 48v architecture option. Love the various battery sizes.
4 wheel steering on short vehicle could make for a very small turning radius
@@GWAForUTBE Hopefully
I'm calling it the Model Z. Smaller version of the Model Y, which in turn was a smaller SUV than the Model X...
Jfc thats an embarrassing looking render. My god.
In the original video, you can also see a white Tesla Model 2 driving around!
- The renderings are outdated, it will certainly not look like the current Y.
- The stream of cheap cars to Europe will be significantly affected by the new taxes. This will also include Teslas made in China. Manufacturing a 2 in Germany seems a way to avoid these taxes
- As long as manufacturers cut cost on fast charging capabilities to get down to EUR 20k the cars will not sell. Fast charging is an extremely important asset if you want to win over ICE drivers.
In the US, the cars will be a bit, uh, larger. The low end of the market will be the Model 2, the Chevy Bolt EUV, and the Kia EV3 and that’s 2025 and prices in the low $30k’s. I hope that’s the case anyway. More and the market will be over saturated.
clickbait
All of you EVangelists are living in a dreamland…🤣
Only Anti-EV nutjbs use that term. Fact is, YOU are living in dreamland. EV's are here and taking over, still has so many ways to get better where as ICE is stuck in the mud. Here in norway we have 93% EV install base and ICE will be completely phased out in a few years, other countries are following and anti-EV Ntjobs will be left behind with no choice other than buy an EV or hang on to extremely outdated ice cars. 😊
No, we are living in the near-term future… you in the not-so-distant past!
You are just like my grand-father, who predicted in the 1920s the demise of that automobile fad… he kept his buggy and horses until he finally bought his first car for his 60th birthday, in 1957! A fine man, but no visionary one!
@@st-ex8506 Electric cars have been around for over 120 years, they just keep trying to resurrect the idea. Don’t worry….being an engineer I know what I’m talking about…
@@kallekas8551 Norway 92% EV install base. Other countries to follow. Ice us stuck in the mud. Anti-EV types are living in a dreamland.
@kallekas8551 if you're an engineer, you would know that ICE technology has had its day. EV's technology is just beginning and is already way behind the capabilities of ice already in many waysm
It won’t sell nobody wants small cars anymore.
Oh yeah! All the people who can’t afford large cars… and those are millions!
Only in America?😂
needs a 500 mile range and under £25000 and hold its value not depreciate like a stone as most EV's do
With what I know about EV and battery design, and that Tesla is always striving to improve everything, I'd rather buy a Model 2 than any other companies car.
it makes me laugh how people talk about competitors watch how long it takes them to get it out and then to volume production and then nobody company is making profit on evs except tesla. good luck.
And byd. But go Off fanboy.
@@reginald7214BYD does indeed turn out a profit on their electric cars… but only a small one. Tesla is de facto the only one making industry-leading margins.
Tesla Model Fiesta!
Copy of ford 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These EVs are going to set new precedents when it comes devaluation... Cheap to buy, impossible to resell.
Looks as boring as the rest of Tesla cars…!
Look the other way 😂😂😂😂
Oh a bot 😮
True, the model y never sold.
True, no orders for CT.
