Kyle Thanks so much for the Cougar video’s. Way back in 1980 while I was in the NAVY I had a 68 Cougar 302 AT with factory air. Unfortunately I had to sell it because I already had another car and was stationed down in Florida. I kick myself every time I think that I had to sell it. Seeing you bring this Cat back to life is fantastic. Keep up the great work 👌👊👍
A Stein no need to thank me, thank you! Hope to see you stick around for the next cougar video... It’s getting a new interior and then in the next year or two she’ll be repainted. Let me know if you’ve got suggestions!
Thanks Kyle I’ll keep an eye out for more of your Cougar videos. About to watch video of breaking the transmission twice. Sure miss my old Cougar. It was red w/ black vinyl
Kyle I just realized you live in the area of all the lunacy that’s going on in Portland. Please stay safe as well as your family. Thanks again for all your videos!
kyle my fine friend work smart on custom gasgets, learn to pound them out with a hammer not onlywill the gasket be easier to make but the result will be much better. It is a great technique
Another glitch I had was a power steering leak. I think I turned the wheel to far against the stops for to long. This raises the pressure to much and blows out the high pressure line from the pump to the control valve. Oops!!
I tightened the hose going to mine and the lights went up faster. There's also a check valve, which doesn't cost to much from WCCC. If this goes bad, the lights only work with the engine running. I ordered the part & hopefully when replaced it'll work again. The big vacuum canister can be removed and fixed with flex seal or welding over a leak or maybe JB weld etc. Of course, the lights will only go up and down so many times with the engine off... I think....
I have a shop manual ( reproduction of the 60s one), for 68 Cougars. I can take pictures of the pages and send them to you via fb,if you're interested.

Back in my youth I used to make gaskets out of cereal boxes. Most of the time they worked pretty good
What ever happened to this car?
Johnq Public drove it today. In college so not a lot of time to make videos but it’s getting painted soon
Damn that transmission work including the gasket work is some miserable shit.

On my cougar the driver's headlight cover would go up too once the engine was off. The vacuum canister was leaking.
