Back in the mid 1970'S I bought a 1968 Firebird 350 from a guy I worked with really cheap because it needed a lot of work, I got it running half decent and fixed a few things on it and of all things I was test driving it to see if it was going to run good enough to drive to and from work and I cut down a side road that went through a trailer park and I found another 68 Firebird that was an absolute twin to the one I was driving setting next to a trailer with a couple flat tires! I stopped and knocked on the door and an older lady answered and saw my car and thought I had moved her car out of her driveway and parked it along the street! Once I got her settled down she told me that it had been setting for a year because it wouldn't run and I bought it on the spot! I drug it home and got it running real good aand shortly there after the first one blew up so I bought a wrecked Bonneville with a 400 engine and installed that in it! Of course that called for a posi trac and dual exhaust but I left it as a sleeper with hubcaps and whitewall tires and all! Then I did all of the needed bodywork on them and painted them and my wife and I had his and hers Firebirds! Of course I kept the 400 for myself and gave her the one that still had the 350!
