How do you know maze's route in the Wind Fish's Egg (2:01:19) without having read the Dark Secrets book? I noticed it's the same route you used in your Any% run. (For those who aren't aware, the route - or at least the one intended - changes from game to game. For example, I saw a game where the route was ←←↑↑↑→→↑)
@@DAK4Blizzard theres a trick called egg manip, you premake a file with the same pattern everytime... and then you just do runs on that file everytime. Egg manip was found pretty soon after the release of this game actually 🙂
Hey Ruben. I'm from Turkiye. I watch your videos very frequently... I am fan of this game... I just wonder how many times approximately have you beaten this game? Can it be 500 times? I am really curious about it..thanks by the way for awesome videos
TY for watching my videos :D yeah 500 times sounds pretty reasonable... taking into consideration all the categories Ive been speedrunning and all the randos ;)
@@TheBanishedWind no not really, its not really a challenge though. I mean tjis run was deathless if you dont count intended deaths... Glitchless is full deathless (optimaly of course)
why would there be no deathless run for speed runner that not a challenge, they beat games as fast as possible dying means you losing time duh, I seen them beat games with minimal health
@@CGplay186 Not if it's faster to take the death, like with how in LA it's faster to steal the items and let the shopkeeper kill you to reload the room rather than grind up the grand total of 1180 Rupees.
The same reason we dont collect compasses and maps, it doesnt change the inventory in the pause screen in the overworld. Talking to owl statues will only give you tips and hints how to proceed in a normal/casual playtrough... this is a glitched speedrun, anything but a normal playtrough ;)
@@MrGul The community of speedrunners usually have different ruleset for every single game. This run follows that ruleset on speedrun.com and therefore is on the 1st place on the leaderboard.

But, if some new big timesave is found Im probably gonna pick up the category right away ;) I do randos of the game every now and then, so check out my stream for that. (twtich.tv/ruben_ls3) Im focusing a lot on 16 star in sm64 right now though :)

I casually played this game like 10 (almost) through and i never realized you can push that stone 10:50 into other directions too.

Echoes of Wisdom looks like a worthy successor. This is probably my second favorite Zelda game after BOTW.

that trick is called Villa skip, skips kanalet castle and some other things... saves a bunch of time :)

What's the reasoning behind not including collecting all the "dungeon beaks" or talking to all the overworld owl statues for 100%?
The same reason we dont collect compasses and maps, it doesnt change the inventory in the pause screen in the overworld. Talking to owl statues will only give you tips and hints how to proceed in a normal/casual playtrough... this is a glitched speedrun, anything but a normal playtrough ;)
