We decided about 5 years ago to simplify our pricing model and post our prices right on our home page. We get about 5x fewer leads (emails, calls, etc.) than our leading competitors who have similar prices (oh we know their prices!) but make the same number of sales. I have 1 office admin person. They have 3. It is an absolute no-brainer. I would never open another business and not publish prices. If it is a complex product where every sale differs, give a price range.
I feel like i have heard this message from you before Wes, but its still just as important as ever. So often we need to be reminded of the things we should be doing but aren't, rather than discovering new things all the time. Thanks for the great value once again!
Hey, it was very hard to find something that can actually grab measurements. I had to build my own tool for roofing in the US. What I would recommend is to have the user just enter their measurements. You can use leadshook to ask the rest of the info you need, then execute the calculations.
Nice tips indeed man, 10 yrs as a full time web designer (+ content and brand creator etc) and I’ve never posted pricing just my ‘get a free quote’ form but most all my work has been referrals but a slower year than usual (think sign of the tighter times) so I need to change my normal up and like all you said (minut 6 especially) so will work on my new pricing page bro!
Yea, I agree with value based pricing when it applies. Whatever your pricing model is, doesn't change the need for being upfront and transparent about it.

We built a price calculator for a few of our roofing clients who were open to it and the lead quality is night and day and lead cost even dropped
That's incredible... not always the case, sometimes the lead costs go up, but the leads you get are better. to have both is awesome!
