If you have an iPhone you can get it because if you buy Samsung tv/fridge/washingmachine you can controller it from your phone. Smaller footprint is actually a good thing for my use cases. I hide AirTags in my backpack, laptop sleeve, pencil bag (fountain pens, iykyk). The one on my keychain still looks new & Nomad makes some great Apple accessories that look better than the Samsung tag does without a case.

if you're in the us, yeah. if you're anywhere else, samsung pings more frequently + you can do a manual location check which you can't do with the airtags, and this has already been proven.
there is a 50/50 split between androids and iphones in the US. Even if there were more iPhones though, the tracking quality is superior than the airtage which was stated in the video. You clearly do not listen to words.
I wish there was a way for these trackers to be cross compatible. Currently in the US, the apple airtags are more useful just because more people use Iphones, but if you travel abroad it might be different.
Tile predates both the AirTag and Samsung's tracker. A tracker is not an original or innovative idea in the slightest. I still will never buy an Apple product.
@empiur. What did it for me was when Apple finally admitted to purposely slowing down its older smartphones performance to "extend" battery life. Bye! Bye! 🍎. Never regretted my decision.
The whole point of its smaller form factor is for it to be stuck to different things and not be noticeable by thieves for example sticking it under the seat of a bicycle. If I need it in a keychain we have that option as well. There will only be 1 among all we get which we use in a keychain. The rest wouldn't.
The ring may be good in the case of keys, but the airtags are smaller, so you can fit them in more tight places. Also you can choose the key rings for your liking. Okay what sucks about these though is that the built in ring hinders some of its applications. AirTags were built without a ring so that you could buy or 3D print your own special holder for whatever job you want it to do. And personally I think AirTags just look cleaner but I love that Matte Black Samsung has. Both have their pros and cons.
You can still do all that with the smarttag tho?
@@purq5513 No, you really can’t.
@giovanigeorgis3848 why can't you?
@@purq5513 Because of the size of it, that thing is almost double the size of an AirTag and adding a 3D printed attachment would take up even more space.
Blud said "double the size of airtag" when the dimensions we're talking about is 1 inch
What are you doing? Building a cybertruck and need that lego-like precision?
I wish apple would open up the findmy network as a open standard, imagine
I thought it did
I've watched a few tests of both tags and the Smart Tags 2 were terrible at pinging the location. Hopefully they get an update.
Smaller footprint is actually a good thing for my use cases. I hide AirTags in my backpack, laptop sleeve, pencil bag (fountain pens, iykyk).
I’d also say it’s not necessarily a bad thing I need a case/holder for the AirTag on my keychain. The one on my keychain still looks new & Nomad makes some great Apple accessories that look better than the Samsung tag does without a case.
But its never been about the size, the likelihood of an iphone coming near an airtag and pinging is much higher than a samsung doing the same….if samsung tags could work with android as a whole then it would be an even comparison….apple easily wins here
if you've seen comparison videos and real-life tests between AirTags and SmartTags - the SmartTags always come out on top and are more accurate.
This is a really good video that has 1+ million views: ua-cam.com/video/61_L4lO4cUI/v-deo.htmlsi=IdISy6yqTSfumaCZ
That is just one video, but there are many more videos that come to the same conclusion - SmartTags are more accurate
if you're in the us, yeah. if you're anywhere else, samsung pings more frequently + you can do a manual location check which you can't do with the airtags, and this has already been proven.
That's not true. Even in tests in the US smarttags out perform airtags.
Its not only samsung phones, but EVERY android with the feature enabled
there is a 50/50 split between androids and iphones in the US.
The ability to ping your phone is why I love my apple watch so much
We can do that with our galaxy watch as well
@@promethiusunknown2872 nothing better than being able to find a device with the device plastered to your wrist.
Remember when Samsung made fun of apples unoriginality?
Both of these are stolen from students who started the whole thing and it was open for all.
Tile predates both the AirTag and Samsung's tracker. A tracker is not an original or innovative idea in the slightest.
I still will never buy an Apple product.
Smarttag came out BEFORE airtag.. plus this is nothing new, these sort of trackers have long been around before apple and samsung.
@empiur. What did it for me was when Apple finally admitted to purposely slowing down its older smartphones performance to "extend" battery life.
Bye! Bye! 🍎. Never regretted my decision.
Samsung is a cry baby
I care about precision not a hole for my keys
but the samsung one has better precision and pings more meaning easier to find your lost items
I have an iPhone, just so that you know I'm not biased. But the Smarttag is way more precise, in my experience. My brother has a smarttag
Lmao iPhone fanboy
Just a reminder for the ones making fun of me. I didn’t say which one was more precise…
@@alek1004 shut up XD
The whole point of its smaller form factor is for it to be stuck to different things and not be noticeable by thieves for example sticking it under the seat of a bicycle. If I need it in a keychain we have that option as well. There will only be 1 among all we get which we use in a keychain. The rest wouldn't.
Tile works on both iOS and Android
The ring may be good in the case of keys, but the airtags are smaller, so you can fit them in more tight places. Also you can choose the key rings for your liking. And the most important thing is the find my network, android have a larger marketshare, but since the tags work only on samsung phones, probably the airtag with find my network is better.
AirTags are better, sort of - larger network with more users. There are more iPhone users than Samsung users in the west so better network coverage for AirTags
if you've seen comparison videos and real-life tests between AirTags and SmartTags - the SmartTags always come out on top and are in fact more accurate.
This is a really good video that has 1+ million views: ua-cam.com/video/61_L4lO4cUI/v-deo.htmlsi=IdISy6yqTSfumaCZ
but there are many more videos that conclude the same way
The build quality is also better and they are smaller so fit in a lot of different applications
Oh and it also shows you a path of which the tag has been travelling. Not just the latest location.
Me thinking he was going to say 500 years 😂
Ow great! How much for the Airtags?
Like $25 and $80 for 4
Tagging is about network. You are waiting for a broke ah to walk past your lost keys
Lmao 😂
Broke? what exactly about having a Samsung is broke? I have two iPhones collecting dust as I like my Samsung better.
Have fun looking at the Samsung display on your "rich kid" iphone
Many people have done tests even in murica aka sheepland with an iphone monopoly and every single time the Samsung tag swept the floor with it in everything from range, accuracy, ping frequency, etc
Stupid or something ? Do ur research Samsung S23 ultra costs more than iPhone 15 pro max, but the price is actually relevant for what you get on the s23u
It should be noted that neither of these is a GPS tracker and will not be able to work without phones around them that also have the app
the main innovation i'm looking for from these tracking tags is even smaller frames and more applicability. i'd really like to track my headphones, but i don't currently have a way to stick either an airtag or any other device onto them. i dream someday of having tracking stickers (i know this is likely a long way off if not impossible)
Here if u think apple needs to create AirTag2
👇🏻
Nah not another bs
Samsung has been better than apple for years now
"Great review!
Does it have a feature where an alarm is triggered on the
phone if the tag goes out of range from the phone?
This would be useful to prevent leaving behind either the
phone or the tagged item. Thanks!"
Thanks! I’m actually not sure, but I believe you can set custom actions on a deeper level, not completely sure though - would be a nice useful addition to the main feature set though!
Can this be used to track your suitcases at an airport?
Sir ka formula revison dekh lo bhai kafi hai physics ke lie ❤
Don't forget you can use the button for smarthome commands
It's always so baffling when last week he says money does not matter anymore for him as long as he like the game COD is on the verge of wagequit a game he said he wont buy lol
That’s why I liked tile. Ping my phone is priceless
Seems like Tile should be speaking up!
People have crazy money
Does it only work on specific Samsung phones, and do they work on ant Samsung Devices like headphones, earbuds, etc...?
If you're using Android, use third party options, these are a lot better than Samsung's and support a wider range of devices, not just Samsung phones. If you're using IOS, just stick to Airtag
I need a pixel tag now.
So what’s great about this is it handles good (minus getting out of a parking space) and they made it.
Those smart tags saved my suitcase. Iberia Airlines lost my Suitecase it Madrid Airport so they were going to deliver it my hotel in Barcelona. When I arrived at Barcelona Airport I tracked it and it arrived at the Airport so I went to Iberia baggage told them where is my bag. They said it's still in Madrid..I showed them my tracking app that it's here at the airport, the agent looked dumb founded, took them an hr to find it. It turned out it was at DEPARTURES on the way out again.. The Agent had no clue why it was at DEPARTURES.. thankfully I was able to track it.
We need the G Spot!😂
Combine them both to make the ultimate tag
Anyone remember tile? They work universally
I haven’t changed the battery in my AirTags I got back in Jan 2022… that’s 730 days so far. “Low Battery” doesn’t make it dead 😂 It still works fine.
Man apple gotta make AirTag v2 or something now
The simple fact it has a loop sold me.
I prefer buying a separate AirTag accessory to suit my needs. I can get a keyring for my keys, a luggage tag for my luggage, a protective magnetic case for my car, a dog collar for a pet, etc. It's good having options.
I like the idea of rings, but sometimes different use cases require different shapes. I’m using airtags to locate my cats and ring would actually make it more uncomfortable for them to wear.
Apple and Samsung need to both just agree to allow their devices to be pinged by each other. Stop the violence lol
i have my free tag and buds coming when i ordered my s24 ultra would be cool to test the smart tag for myself when it comes
They seriously need to be mutually compatible. They would be so much better if they worked in each others' ecosystems.
what samsung phone did he show in the video? it looks fancyyy
can you use it on other android phones ?
It's better because the battery is also replaceable and has more features. However, some users are reporting battery drain issues.
As an apple user, i would never use an airtag if apple won’t release a version with the ring.
If your in the us, get air tags much more precise. But outside I would go with Samsungs line up
Yeah, not true, even on testing, smarttag was more precise than airtags in the us
How many can you tag at one time? Can I place tags on my jetski, pocketbook and suitcase at same time for them to all be able to be traced??
It’s the size that breaks the deal for me. The button is also just annoying as I keep accidentally pressing it when it’s in my pocket…
If Samsung tag was compatible with all androids, they'd get more sales
Do these require Samsung devices to locate them? In the same way Apple devices are the network for location for AirTags. If so. There’s a lot less people using specifically Samsung devices making them harder to track
Can I take the speaker out and use it for my car? Is there enough ecosystem out there to ping accurately anywhere?
Wait this is exactly what I've been waiting for!
One day they'll be close to as good as tile, not today but maybe one day.
Apples desicion to sell the air tag case thingy with the loop must have made it so much money because everyone bought both because the loop is like the only way to attach them to keys
You gotta get what's compatible. So it's not a question of which to get.
Only for Samsung devices? Or Android in general?
Google will generalize this function for Android
Can you see the car moving real time on the map or just give you last location
I use it to start my car, super convenient
You forgot about location history & the price which is a deal breaker for me when compared to Air tags.
Used both and I always prefer the Samsung Smart tag.
Good compeition, lets see them upgrade the airtags hopefully.
And they're cheaper apparently
Air tags can be used on Samsungs aswell
I would just use tile because it works with everything
Locksmith here, NEVER show your keys online. Duplicating keys from photos is relatively easy with the right know how, and a couple hundred dollars in gear.
ratchet and clank looking kinda different these days 😭
Remember when people say that Apple is late with features but they make them better? How the turntables
