You're absolutely right Chad. They formed in 1971. Sadly, all of the original members have passed away.
They didn't have much music...
Boogie no more, Gator country, Whiskey man, I could go on forever named great songs by this group
I saw Molly Hatchet along with REO Speedwagon in concert in 1979 at 16 years old, What a great concert that was.
Chad i'm older than you I bet maybe im a graduate 1979 high school Molly Hatchet fan since 1972 saw live great show loved alot of their songs
This Band always had the BEST album cover art!
Frank Frazzetta
I Guess you have never seen MARILLION then?🤔
@@jasonweston1273 nope not even close...
@@robertsilvernail3572 OK what about a artist known as "PEZ" he did most of the cover art for the helter skelter rave tape packs & flyers!😂
I really enjoy listening to Molly Hatchet! Ya'll should check out "Dreams I'll Never See". I'm a couple of years older than you Chad and we grew up with the best bands! Lulu, you did another great reaction again! Oh, and congrats on being president!
Thanks
The song that they played in the song that you mentioned are probably two of their best, but I'd say my third favorite is Beating the Odds. Gator Country is great too.
@@marksawicki3595 I love the whole album.
I saw Molly Hatchet at a small club in Connecticut after their first album came out. The local radio station which sponsored the show was 107 on the FM dial so admission was $1.07. Some friends and I drove down from MA to see them. We were huge Lynyrd Skynyrd fans and this was after the tragedy so we decided to check them out. They sounded a lot like Skynyrd so people in the crowd were jokingly yelling out "Freebird." They did three encores and the last one they played, you guessed it, Freebird. They nailed it.
Molly Hatchet ROCKS❗️❗️❗️Southern rock at its best❗️❗️❗️🎸🎸🎸👍😎
I got to see them on this Tour...my very 1st Concert, they Rocked Kansas Cities butt off! Gator Country and Fall of the Peacemakers are both musts!
That is the way rock was meant to played like!
This song and Freebird are the songs you would get speeding tickets for, when one of those start playing and you're driving your gas pedal seems to go down more. Danny Joe Brown was a heck of a singer and frontman. R.I.P. DJB
Great pick yall!!! LOVE hatchet!! ☘️
Great band!! I got to see them live and it was a great time!! Thanks for doing this song. So many to choose from! Fall of the Peacemakers is a great song with a great message!! Glad you liked it!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes I have to agree with Chad molly hatchet are a good group lulu. My mother Cathy likes molly hatchet as do I. Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️👍
Wicked song and a great band !
You really need to screen these older live songs because the sound isn't always the best... age or the person recording at the concert are all factors, but then again, we have this performance locked in forever 😉🎸
Thank you for the video ✌️🙂
Danny Joe Brown was a great frontman! RIP DJB! and all the rest of the original members also!
It's amazing I had not been given a speeding ticket while it came on the car radio. While working for a private ambulance service, this was one of our unofficial theme songs. LOL BTW: Glad you are feeling better, Lulu.
Southern Rock at its best. Wintersun Alex ❄️👍
Good old ass kicking rock and roll.❤
I saw Molly Hatchet open for Bob Seger in 1980 for my first concert
I bet that was awesome
MH has always been my favorite Southern Hard Rock Band.
They were heavier than your run-of-the-mill Southern Rock band.
Gator Country
Dreams I'll Never See
Whisky Man
They have a lot of great songs.
Saw them in 1979 in swing auditorium San Bernardino . Warm up band was Mott the hoople
The late great Danny Joe Brown! I actually got to see them live at the Indiana State Fair when he was still alive. Definitely a great show!
I turn the song up every time it comes on
Two platforms to get your fans to see you and hear their favorite music was Don Kirshners rock concert and the Midnight Special.
We did not have videos back in those days and the only other way that you were going to see them other than waiting on them to come to a town near you to go to a concert was to see them on tv. Two other shows to see up and coming acts was American Bandstand and Soul Train.
It can’t be proven scientifically as an absolute positive fact, but if you play the song loud in your car while driving your chances of getting the speeding ticket to go up by a factor of 83.6%.
Killer band especially live!❤❤👍👍🤘🤘
My brother had this on 8-Track.
Got speeding ticket to that song 150 in a 55 mph zone lol
Listen to the studio. Class of '81 painted this album cover on the wall in the high school library! Made it until a remodel in the early 2000's...
What High School...we had the same album cover painted on the wall of our typing building behind our gym in 82

I had cousins that lived in Jacksonville, Florida , back in '73 or '74 they came North to visit and turned me on to this new band that was just getting going in their area . So when Molly Hatchet went nationwide I already knew who they were .
Good to see the old man again (CHAD)🎉 M.H. named after a hatchet murderess😮(HATCHET MOLLY) out of Jacksonville Fla. Saw them in '83 opening for The Kinks in Atlanta Ga. Under the name the Danny Joe Brown Band due to a dispute with the record label ! THEY ROCKED, YA 'LL ROCK, we all ROCK ! 😂❤
CHECK OUT THE OUTLAWS FROM TAMPA--GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES. C-YA LATER BYE✌️
Have Chad participate cuz he knows great music and y'all need an old Gee.
Hell yeah
Let's gooooo! Molly Hatchet is the real deal
The "tin" sound isn't the recording I have listened to this many times on you tube, must be from their end
I know this song doesn't get many requests, but maybe get a little chomp chomp with Gator Country.
WARNING!!! This song causes speeding tickets!!
It's a dang shame that all of the original members are gone r.i.p.🙏 Danny Joe Brown was the first to go. He would wake up and down a 5th of jack Daniels. Steve Holland was the last member to pass away. God bless Molly hatchet. Keep on rocking y'all
What month you guys on with requests?
June and July
@@KathyLuluandDonna so a request made last month won’t show up for several months? You guys must get a lot of requests then
@@MrMcMuffinJr1999 The price of fame!
Yes, we get a lot of requests. We are trying to get them all done and caught up by the end of next month. Hopefully, when that happens, we will be able to get requests done in the same month they are requested. Right now, we are recording around 140 requests a month.
Too bad the sound quality of this video wasn't great. Listen to it on a good stereo. None of that "pretty boy" BS here.
horrible recording. The studio version would have sounded so much better.
Great band have some lps , unfortunately not alot of success....the name back ground is pretty gruesome.....
They didnt have much music...
That video recording sounds like junk , it doesnt do the group justice .
