One of my classmates sent around an e-petition to move next week's class to another day because his boss was making him work late and he would have to miss the class. When Carol and George's mother met in the store, it's a wonder that it didn't occur to George's mother that Carol had their car, and that would be why Greg borrowed George's car. She, of course did not know that Greg was not supposed to drive. When Mike reminded Greg that he was grounded when Greg asked for an exception to use the car, being grounded usually means not leaving the property, if not the house.

I too am 58, and used to watch this show and loved it. But for me, I watched it because I saw this as how a family SHOULD operate. Mine was so far from this reality, with drinking and verbal abuse from my parents being the norm, along with chain smoking, even in the car with us kids inhaling every breath, as the windows were to remain closed. I suspect I wasn't alone either with my childhood reality. I know a lot of kids like me who grew up in the 70s in homes as dysfunctional as mine. We [all of us kids] watched this family [The Bradys] to escape ours. Sad but very true!

So you pulled one over on us this time, but you are not to leave this house for the rest of your grounding period. I'm on Greg's side. Mike Brady said "you cannot drive the car for one week." It was for a specific car, not any car. Of course, in 2024, there's no need to go around looking for a car to borrow. Just steal one and then abandon it somewhere. Mr. and Mrs. Brady would have never known, and Greg gets to go to the concert. 🙃🙂🤪 How old is Greg Brady (Barry Williams) in this episode? This one looks to be in The Brady Bunch's later seasons. He must be 18 or 19. Isn't that kind of old to ground your kids? Anyway, I'm trying to remember the rest of the episode. Wasn't there some emergency, like the entire family were having heart attacks and he had to drive everyone to the hospital to save their lives? Torn between letting the car sit in the driveway or The Brady Bunch being cancelled because they're all dead, he drove the car.

Not really. Although that 4th wall being missing makes it feel.more spacious. The Brady house had 3 upstairs bedrooms , 1 bathroom with no toilet, Alice's bedroom off the kitchen prob with bathroom or 1/2 bath, kitchen, dining room, den , living room, laundry room, Mikes den or office, the attic room that later became Gregs bedroom.,carport or garage.pI grew up in a 2 story home 5 bedrooms 3 with fireplaces, 2 baths , a full length of front side of house living room with fireplace, formal dining room that eventually became the den/TV room, sun/sewing room , full length of front side of the house front porch, breakfast room/ pantry that later became my youngest brothers bedroom, eat in room off the kitchen area that became our dining room, basement/ laundry room, small walk in porch with closet that my dad finished in ,detached 2 car garage with above garage storage room and my dad didn't make a lot of money and had 6 kids.

I used to watch this show all the time when I was a child but I don't remember this episode. I'll assume Mike and Carol eventually gave in and allowed Greg to go to the concert.
