- Join in with the Turnin Rust crew as they attempt to bring some life back into this forgotten 1974 Ford Bronco. After finding it sitting for over 35 years, the guys discover that they not only purchased a cool classic truck, but also the home of several unwanted rodents. After uncovering a rat-infested engine, the team digs in and diagnosis what it will take to hear this abandoned jewel up and running again. Will this neglected Ford run again or has nature taken their final claim on this ol' girl?

i sit here watching your video as my grown mentally ill son yells and screams at his mother inside the house. when i get involved things just escalate so i'm hoping it calms down soon. he didn't used to be this way, a broken back and a lost life has made him isolated and angry. it's hard. i appreciate your videos because it reminds me of when he and i were best friends and would work on our projects together, sharing our lives and enjoying each other. thank you for the video. 👍
hope things get better brother
Try to have a Good Christmas my friend, i know it must be very for you all, regards from the UK.
Keep the faith. I had a very angry step daughter. By the grace of God we found a doctor to get the right meds and now she is a very happy well adjusted human. Prayers from MO
Prays for your son and the family . My sisters son is that way and she was the only one he would even think about lessoning to but she passed away back in the summer and my brother in law has a hard time . music is about the one thing that cools him down .he is 38 so he puts up good fight when he gets ready .that's bad kids have to be like that .all you can do is love love and keep on loving them. ❤
You are not alone dealing with a grown son that lives at home and gets angry with his parents all the time. Our son is 33 and moved back home about 3.5 years ago. He had been an OTR truck driver for several years. Made a lot of good money and had his act together. Two different women in his life absolutely shit on him and screwed his head up. For two years, he lived here with us and didn't work or do much of anything else. But about 8 months ago, he started working at a Valvoline Instant Oil change in town and he has turned completely around. He really likes his job. He doesn't make near as much money as he did on the road but he enjoys being able to come home every night. Things are finally starting to get better. He still has his bouts with depression and anger but they are becoming fewer and farther between. So I wish you the best luck in the world with your son. Like one of the other repliers commented, all you can do is love them and keep loving them. And pray for them. That is what my 89 year old mother has done for a couple of years now and I think it worked.
I had a 72 Bronco that looked exactly like yours. 302 Motor & standard trans. The floor was rusted and the frame eventually broke but it was lots of fun. Sold it for $1500 cdn and regretted it. These trucks are very desirable and much better than the new ones.
Nice to see you two working together ...we need more family programming like this!!!
What a treat! I own a 1974 Bronco that my wife's father picked out for her in 1974. It sat for 9 years and I got it running after replacing a broken valve spring. 302 just like your's. Mine is automatic with a new paint like the original. Blue and white with red pin stripes. I'm restoring the interior now. It was great to see you work on an engine that I am so familiar with. Thanks for working on it. That Ford V8 is a real workhorse. No pun intended.
Don't see too many of these anymore up here in western Canada, so 'any' possible rebuilds on these Bronco's is worthy of taking on, as there will always be fewer and fewer over the years, making them more valuable. This one certainly has possibilities, albeit some metal work, body work and paint, and it could be a beaming jewel with some time and effort! Thanks for a nice 2023 on the video's guys, and will always be watching for more into the New Year! Best of the season to all your friends and family!
I just picked up a 72 ranger bronco this week that was a one owner all original everything there.... 302 3 speed, doesn't have a panel without rot but hey ya gotta try to save em. Plus I got it pretty cheap.
Man, I would love to see you do something with this old Bronco!! I have always loved the look and stance of them. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Love the ol Broncos! I had a '72 with a 302 Boss. That was in high school back in the early 80's. Keep it man...
Thanks for the vids! God Bless
Didn't expect the engine to spin or brake system to work. Have a Merry one.
How much u asking for the 1974 Ford Bronco?? My wife is a retired 21 year master Sargent air force medic, she would love it, buy n fix up Jason, Wichita, Ks. ❤❤love the show.
That was in pretty ruff shape, even with the rats living in it,disgusting…
Merry Christmas to you Lance and your family and good bless you ❤
Merry Christmas guys & have a great new year from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🪃🦘🐪🎅❤🙏.
MerryChristmas🎄 Lance,Wyatt and Christian and the rest of family. Great video on the Bronco..
Any more rats.?
Hi guys
That coil that was on it was an original yellow top ford coil that was on all fords of that era !
They are a bit of a collector item these days
Merry Christmas from Australia 🇦🇺
Good evening from Killeen Texas, Merry Christmas restored family !
Won't find another 302 like that😮..i like it!
Thanks for saving that Bronco. Kind of nice to have a front bumper the size of a work bench.👍
An oldie but a goodie.
My favourite car. Always wanted one but you'll never find one of these in Australia.
Awsome video guys, merry christmas😀🇧🇻🎅🎄❄️
I'm really interested in seeing this one come back to life!
Merry Christmas you y'all and y'alls family!
You guys sure rolled the dice when you pick this up at the auction, but it looks like you won this time!!! Still needs a lot of work but I was surprised at how easy you got it running and it sounds pretty good!!!! Overall good video!!!!
Merry Christmas to you, the Turnin' Rust Crew - and to Christian for her stellar video work! I really enjoyed this past year with you guys. Looking forward to next year. Happy New Year to you too!!
That's a perfect farm/hunting rig there.
Just bought a 72 bronco ranger this week with a 302 3 on the tree... one owner all original, she's roughhhh even rougher than yours but I paid $3k for it so could be worse, all the trim is there, original hubcaps, like I said everything is there at least. His dad also took out the 3rd row seat when it was new to haul square bales so it at least has a brand new rear seat that's been in a garage 50ish years.
You should restore this Bronco, its a beauty piece of history, also Merry Christmas to you and your Families..
loved watching you put air in that left rear Goodyear wrangler tire
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the donation James! Merry Christmas!! God bless!
The Lord handed you a miracle and a gift with that one!!! That's a perfect builder for the channel. We all miss seeing your creative sides on full builds. Maybe Lord willing this could be one for us all to enjoy together. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Thanks for another great year with you guys!!!!
Oh please
Back in 1977 I was 17 and my Uncle had a 67 Bronco 3 on the tree 289 he use to let myself and best friend take it on weekends and just be typical teen age boys with a 4 by 4 and have fun.
Thank you for sharing Lance
Thanks for blessing us with another great video!
Am amazed, for a vehicle that looks so bad but ended up so good. Deserves to live on 😊brilliant video
Hi from Missouri. amazing how it just start up sometimes after they sit for a while. god bless and love you guys.
Never a dull moment with you gentlemen. Very cool to see it up and running, great job! Merry Christmas!!
There something about those 304 . My son and I bought a CJ 5 with a 304 had been sitting 3 or 4 years. No rats though. CK the fluids put a little gas down the the carb thing fired right up. no smoke. Lifter noise we put some marvel mistire oil in it fixed it right up. Great video.
Incredible resurrection! When I first saw the price, I thought ya'll got a heck of a deal....then I saw the floors and that rats nest on the motor and figured maybe it wasn't such a great deal after all. But how incredible is it that the motor fired up and ran like that! Man, an old school set of white, wagon wheels and she would be a great little around town vehicle. Great job, fellas!
Another great watch! Cracking work! 👏👏👏
Now your talking my language!!! I am currently working on a 1971 bronco that i started on back in 97 and mine was way way worse ! In. Fact my wife cried real tears as she thought we wasted our money! Hahaha You have a splended starting point! As my bronco was missing every part of value including the oil pan, Rad, exhaust mainifolds intake mainifold Ect ect!!! Good luck guys!
What a blessing.
That was incredible, didn’t think it would be that easy
Can't believe that live Rat!
Outstanding work!!!! How fortunate that the engine was in such good shape!!!
Very interesting 🧐 content, thanks for sharing 😁. Merry Christmas 🎁⛄.
I couldn't believe it would run.I hope to see more of it in the future.
Merry Christmas to you from Ky.
Loved to watch the old Broncos come back. Wish we had the 74U14. Go nice with our Bronco Sport.
Love this saving
Great video, guys. It’s amazing how some of these old cars and trucks can sit for so long and you two can get them fired up! I would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

Great job!! It would be great to see the progress of the work, new tires and wheels, washing and polishing... it even reaches an ideal point of sale!! Hugs from Brazil!!
I wouldn't mind having that ol white Escort setting behind the Bronco.
That one actually has a factory diesel in it
@@TurninRustThat little Escort must get about 50mpg with the diesel in it 😮😊😊
@@TurninRustWhat're You Asking For This One You're Featuring Now ?
Great transformation you’ll! Keep up the great work.

Great video. I am looking forward to seeing y'all do some more restoring this old Bronco. Merry Christmas to y'all. :)
I just love the father son coordination.
You two have gone from "Ghost Busters" to "Bronc Busters"!!!
Now that was fun and ran good too 😊👍👍👍😋👍
Wow, now that was impressive! I'll admit that when I watched the auction I thought you were nuts spending the money for it. The Javelin was in much better shape than the Bronco, and they are super rare and bring six figures when restored. I was hoping for that, but you guys bought this instead. Well obviously you knew what you had, and this old girl runs and drives great. No smoke or anything. Great video and I'm sure you will have no trouble selling it for a tidy profit. Congrats and what a great video!!!
Thank you gents for masking up, catching that Hantavirus is no joke. Great content as usual ya'll!!!
Super old girl...Have a Great Christmas guys & a healthy, peaceful New Year...(UK)

Merry Christmas and God bless you
Merry Christmas guys
Awesome project
aww, what a rustbucket! :o but she runs, drives, and brakes. XD
it could very well be that the foam in the corners made everything rust out like it did. Ford germany started to use foam by around 1970 on some models, others got it at 1975. after that you have many problems with rust, and repairing rust, as you have to remove the foam before you weld anything in, or you might end up with a nest of fire inside a spot you can't reach. other brands did it, too, and the cars all but corroded away preemptively. Mercedes used it on the /8 coupes, in the c-column, and you see some of those where the paint (and occasionally, the putty) chips away there. and then you just know there is trouble ahead.
anyway, hope this Bronco gets restored. :) after all that it deserves it. ^^
Had a 72 same motor and three on the tree. What a blast in had with that.
Always interesting guys looks like a beater u got its amazing to me that something that been sitting that long u can get it running most people would of gaveup like the determination that u guys HAVE to get it rolling sure would ❤ to see her get bac to her gloryDAYS .😊
