"There is no death, there is only the Force.... and I am its Master." This quote perfectly describes Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion. Dude wanted to be a god, was born with black eyes as a Sith pureblood and was so fearsome that even wild animals would avoid him before his powers manifested. He was borne of the Dark Side, even more than Palps. He would have never turned away from it.
Darth Sidious is irredeemable. He was said to be a void or shadow in the Force by those who seen him, and even from an early age he was thought to been devoid of empathy. Some would even go so far to say he *was* The Dark Side incarnate
Shouldn't Sidious be considered irredeemable? Going by Legends, dude was a sociopath from the very start and isn't even capable of feelings such as love. I can't even imagine him ever being redeemed.
there was a chance he could have been a better person, he was destined to be Sith, yes, but Tenebrae was born evil and insanely intelligent and powerful, he conquered his home planet as a KID
The "Echoes of Oblivion" Boss fight against Vitiate /Valkorian/Tenebrae felt like an Avengers Endgame event, with every major figure coming in the battle: Revan, Meetra Surik, Lord Scourge, Arcann Thexan Senya and Vaylin, Satele Shan and Darth Marr etc. It was the sendoff I always dreamed of in SWTOR made reality.
I love whenever you cover Tenebrae, he's so fascinating and as you said he was briefly able to have a family but in the end it was all for selfish reasons because he had plans to consume their Force Essence, so even when under the slight influence of Valkorion it wasn't enough to erode Tenebrae's desire for more power. Also I thought you was going to say Darth Nox, the Sith Inquisitor would never let themselves be redeemed.
@@chrismlonethat is why he is so powerful given how purely evil he truly is. The more evil a force user is, the easier and more powerful the dark side they are.
Yes let’s go another Sith lore video love it always some of my favorite videos from you are Sith videos and this one does not disappoints a worthy addition in the Sith archives
I feel like there is a lot of Sith that were entirely unrepentant and irredeemable. There was no going back for Sidious, period. Darth Vitiate definitely wasn't ever gonna turn back to the light after consuming 8000 fellow Sith and the Force itself from an entire world. Darth Bane certainly never would turn to the light after his experience at Korriban. His apprentice Zannah had the opportunity to turn back and rejected it completely, driving her own cousin insane to frame him for the deaths of the Jedi strike team she and her master had just killed. Andeddu, Darzu, Momin, Exar Kun, Malgus, I mean I could go on. None of those characters were "redeemable."
@darthrevanthedestroyer9003 i still believe that reven was a true sith but not in a normal way, he had the drive but he wasnt quite as evil cause in his actual final moments you could tell reven knew the sith and the jedi were wrong
New video idea: “how did the kyber crystal in the death star react (at all) to the destruction of Alderaan?” We know kyber crystals resonate with the force, and are living things, so surely it must have some kind of conscious.
@@deimos7577 Plagueis once said that he would have been wasted in the Jedi Order, Palpatine was born with an instinctual tie to the Dark Side. How does one redeem a person who was practically born to the Dark Side from birth?
Nihilus, Vitiate, Sion, Vader but not Sidious? The Insidious Emperor of the Sith? The First Sith Lord to Conquer the Entire Galaxy? the man who has no Remorse, No Empathy, whose joy only resides in other people's pain and the main example of that is within his prime Apprentice and kind of Son Darth Vader
Can you do a video compilation, about every Sith lord who was redeemed in the end? Along with Sith lords that were mostly good people, by the end of their lives?
Ya know, if Disney ever pulls their heads out of their rears and starts adapting more content from Legends, Darth Vitiate could be a really solid option for a big bad in the post-Rise era. An ancient Sith Emperor, mostly forgotten to history, sealed away by the Jedi because they could not kill them, and finally escaping to find the Sith are all dead and gone, and the Jedi are all but extinct as well. Gobbles up the life essence of a planet to get his strength back, gets a few minions, and then it's off to Dromund Kaas, or maybe Zakuul, to begin his plans to take over a Galaxy that he believes is ripe for the taking.
Malgus killed his lover after she was abducted by a Jedi due too the fact she was a weakness and truly cared for her but recognising the fact she weakened and limited him.
Love your promotion of the MERCH store. Happy to hear you promoting it more in each video. Def going to buy something due to your efforts. Stay Stupendous!! Thank you for all you do.
Palpatine should’ve taken Nihilus’s spot since Nihilus himself isn’t really evil by choice. If he had a choice, he might have been redeemable. Palpatine though was 100% evil to the core by choice
If Valkorian was still a flesh and blood dark side adept, then technically/theoretically it should be possible to purify him with the Wall of Light (I think that’s the name) ability and enough sufficiently powerful Jedi. If Valkorian could be purified, then since he was born his own person, Vitiate could be dispelled from him. Technically redeeming Valkorian 🤷🏼
Problem with Yoda's beleif that "ONCE you start redemption IS impossible...." Is that it means NO ONE IS saveable.... An YET then there's NO answer then for hardcore Sith we KNOW WAS Sith .. an then defected an switched sides.... Ask Yoda an his Order to explain THAT one ... Another way they was WRONG about Anakin too, an that whole Chosen One Prophecy thing... Since both Sith died an Anakin came back... From a certain point of view.... Find it hard to believe someone like Vitiate or Sideous COULD ever become REDEEMED unless they did that odd thing Revan experienced where he LITERALLY split into a physical "Good Twin, BAD Twin" an went they separate ways... ALSO Literally... Like they was literally born as Twins an not 2 halfs of 1 person. Thing is in some reality where this happened to said Sith WOULD a Good Vitiate and/or a Sideous be JUST as powerful their classic Evil selves
Palpatine was literally the living embodiment of evil in a mortal form. Perhaps He was created By the father of shadows himself. Or he was a over correction of the force trying to restore balance. Both ways Palpatine imposed his will on the force in a way that was shown as a true threat. Not only was Anakin and the Twins Created To stop him but He survived it and it took a Dyad and all the Jedi of the past to finally put him down for good.
Interesting! If Vitiate and Nihilus are the only two sith who are completely irredeemable then how could Malak, Malgus, Bane, Palpatine, Momon and other sith who have embraced the dark side completely have found paths to redemption despite all of their countless atrocities, lack of redeeming qualities and complete loss of sympathy?
It might be just opinion but I believe sidious should be one of them and post even Vader, Vader and anakin are two different beings in one body, as much as people don’t want to believe it, Vader is the embodiment of the dark side and is redeemable, what killed him was anakin and Luke, though maybe I’m just reaching but I still believe sidious is probably the most unredeemable
Yes but, after a certain point, we have to question it. They may be redeemable but do they deserve it? Many humans in our history have done horrible things that are passed the point of redemption and many Sith would look at the actions of those people and go: "so what? Genoside is just a Tuesday." Most of the worst people alive may make at as apprentices, for more successful Sith empires and that's about it. "What, there's still life on that planet? You have failed me" proceeds to kill with force lightning. Reven and Malek are kind of cheating, they did not turn willingly. They were made that way by a much more powerful dark lord that they were hunting. Bastila was also basically a newbie, turned bat to the like basically as she turned to the dark side, she wasn't even serving the dark for a year. Arguably, with the memory erasure, she was more evil as a Jedi. With Sion, that's out of necessity. You could not kill him so you had to sever his connection to the dark side for the greater good. It is not a question of him deserving it at all, merely practicality.

Sidious was just pure evil. The greatest Sith ever.

sidious should be considered unredeemable since he was born into the dark side like vitiate was tbh
I do think Sidious and Vitiate are the main two sith that are unredeemable.
So much easier to embrace the dark side than the light, the temptation for power as opposed to the restraints the light side brings 😅
Nihilus is a tragic figure. He didnt choose to be evil, to be irredeemable. It was forced upon him.

I'd say like Revan. Wiping Palps memory might give him a new chance.
