I have a 13 Pro Max here, switched from a Galaxy S20 Ultra and I'm never looking back. They're fast, they're reliable and they're Quality. I feel like I can use this phone even until 2028. 100% worth every penny.

It's not like iPhone users are even worse trapped in their own bubble. You still hear the same prejudices that are just not true anymore. plastic phones, Android is slow, bad camera and so on. You still have an S7 in mind when you think of Samsung. Also they compare budget models for $300 with their iPhones lol

Great content as always man :) I have been following you for years and you always bring us great content. I am on the fence on this one. I have the 14 Pro Max and my Wife has the 15 Pro Max. Both phones are of course amazing. Biggest thing for me is Facetime with my kids. Maybe a small thing for some but Facetime is just so good in terms ofr quality of picture and sound. Makes me feel 100% connected to my kids :) But on the side I still have my old and trusted S21 Ultra and damn I love that phone. If anyone asked me what is the best old Flagship you can get for a few hundred bucks I would say the S21 Ultra :) great screen, cameras and sound! BUT when you leave the house and or go on a trip and you have to take ONE phone that you know will not let you down in any way AT ALL then for sure I will have my 14 Pro Max in my pocket!

I have a 13 Pro Max. If I were you I'd go ahead and get that instead or just get a standard iPhone 15 Plus if you just want dynamic island. The 60hz isn't a big deal that people make it out to be. A 60hz iPhone is still smoother than 90% of Android phones.

Absolutely nothing to be excited about anymore and I used to love Apple. Literally just the same phone year after year. Took 10 years for them to get USB-C 😂
I got s23 and 13 mini. I have to say. IOS is just so efficient. Not bloated. No google layer. Close to metal. I really appreciate that all traces of goole and facebook can be removed from the phone.

Xiaomi makes great budget phones but my favorite brands are Samsung, Apple, Google and OnePlus (named them priority wise) and I really won't consider buying from any other brand except these four
Used phones from these brands easily defeat any other brand's phone in the market in any price range
The only reason that Apple and Samsung are on the top is because they are reliable and have the best software experience (which is VERY important nowadays) and ecosystems
Not really, iPhone 15 Pro max at launch suffers an Overheating issue before a software update, and durability wise is worse than it's predecessor which is the iPhone 14 Pro max 💀
@@funni387 been using the 15PM since october and the durability of the phone is still in great shape. The only protection i have is a screen protector, got no deep scratches or dents on the titanium frame.

People say android is king now . Now they are equal to IPhone . I have both S24 ultra and IPhone 15 pro max . Below are the issues I found out with S24 ultra
1) Call signals sometimes while switching from WiFi to mobile network . It drops crazily . Call clarity is not that great like iPhone
2) Some apps like WhatsApp , call and video clarity is not good. It is not stable like iPhone
3) build quality is good but not as great as iPhone
4) apps sometimes act weird but that again we have to close and reopen
5) Video clarity is super dump. They are saying 200mp but still I see photos are oversaturated feels like some Doppelgänger.
6) Speaker sound sucks is not that great like iPhone . No bass no clear crispness and loudness .if you don’t believe compare both and see which one is great. I tested both phones extensively and coming from actual user
It’s definitely android is super customisable but doesn’t mean iPhone is not better

Iphones are simple and beautiful, that's it! If someone wants to keep a phone and wants to stick to the basic purpose of the phone with some added features, i think iPhones are one of the best options.
Now a days phones are more than just phones people are depending a lot on them regarding their work and entertainment like content consuming etc. As purpose of phone changes we can see multiple options and yes there are phones which are very dominant over iphones in certain areas. But if you want to keep things simple and clean i think iphones are the best.

Yes the iPhone is king.I’m now rocking the 14 pro max coming from the 6+ being a samsung nut head but was frustrated by one bug after another and a friend introduced me to apple and I’ve never looked back, I’m going to buy a android but not a Samsung simply because i think they’re overpriced.
Not trying to hate on you or anything but the s24 sold 50% on the global market compared to other apple phones so they might be catching up a bit.
Undeniably iPhones are great but feels like they are too comfortable with how much they have achieved that they are not willing to give more for the consumers unlike other brands

When it comes to out and out feautures and hardware, the iphone falls short in many areas. Screen quality, battery life, charging speed, certain camera features, software features, software support. These are all measurable rather than it being subjective based on a personal opinion.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max has problems. Sometimes when I press my power button the screen will do black for several seconds before it unlocks the phone. And my all ways on screen don’t work half the time.
Love your videos Nicky, that being said though, Apple has less of a market share in smartphones globally, I think, but yes Apple dominates the smartphone market in the United States especially among gen z, heck, I’m Gen z (23 years old) and I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max so that’s definitely accurate lol

In the US market I feel a lot of people think it’s Apple or full budget phone
@@nickackermanchannel I’d personally rather get an “older” flagship versus a “new” budget phone as they’re usually still the better performer for not much more than a brand new budget to mid tier phone. And in Apples case will still be supported for years more to come.
@@nickackermanchannelI also think some people buy an IPhone as their main phone and a Samsung budget phone as a back up, iPhone would be their primary phone and say a Galaxy a14 would be a nice backup if something happened to the main Iphone.
@@briengakaplan-b1550I find the ‘older’ Iphones have all the bugs cleared up like if you had bought an IPhone 15 from the off you might have had issues with battery and software bugs whereas an older iPhone 14 or 13 would have those flaws ironed out
Unlike "we'll fix it with updates" Samsung S devices, when buying Iphone you just know things will work well out of the box. Reliable camera, great battery and the best resell value. Those are the main reasons of sucess.

Do iPhone still get updates longer than Samsung phones? I thought about getting one of the more expensive Samsung phones, but then I didn’t think it would be worth it because they run out of updates sooner
Software updates on Samsung phones ruin things as soon as new model is presented. (in 7 years of using Samsung flagships only you get to learn few things).

In the Netherlands everybody with an Iphone or Android phone uses Whatsapp.
The sales figures tell the story, especially in the US. I prefer Android and think the top android phones are better than iPhones, but here in California I feel pretty alone in that regard. I think Android users are more likely to buy them because of their superior technical features, while iPhone users buy them because of iMessage and FaceTime.

That is true for certain creators, although I use Samsung daily as well as Apple and Google products. Each fit into daily flow for different purposes but many would prefer to keep things simple with one ecosystem

Im yet to see s24 ultra photos looking better then iphone's and I really searched in hope to sell my iphone and try samsung's stuff but they really are disappointing.
Not a fan of dynamic island, it looks like an android phone.
Also looks like a dead pixel. Its cool when its moving,but notch is much better, first in iphone

@@adskiller0076 In the video it looks big and like a Xiaomi Note 6 but when using it , the island is smaller and also the bezels are almost gone. I have S24 Ulta , IP 15 Pro and Fold 4 , when i compare , s24 has thinner bezels but the iPhone looks like it has less bezels , it is hard to explain but this is how i see it. Maybe the wallpaper and apps are optimized and made a way that makes the bezels are gone not sure. Like the apple watch , if you look older apple watches , they look like they have thinner bezels but in reality the bezels are not that thin ( excluding the 7 and up )
@@adskiller0076honor v20 was the very first phome with dynamic island it was called capsule pill and it has same implementation as dynamic island on iphone and honor v20 is many years old.
Other than that, dynamic island looks like the gimick android apps i used to play with when I was child. Some visualisers that have animations around the display when playing music or a scroll bar for music on the top of the display to control music or a video playing on background.. it reminds a lot of that kind of gimicks and that's pretty bad because you can't turn it off on the iphone and it looks clunky and distracting... its even worse than bloatware I would say. Because bloatware doesn't effect performance or user experience on androids.. because it can be disabled or hidden because its just apps.

Or a the one handed workflow of Samsung apps where when u open an app and swipe down, all the content and buttons are coming down closer to the bottom of the scrren so u can reach them. Bought a 24 ultra returned it after a week can't even play netflix properly jumping from 120 fps to 60 to 24 it's such a shame hate to admit it but ios in general is just the safest pick by far.
Blame the Netflix app, it has a capped refresh rate of 60hz. Unfortunately on my OnePlus 12 I had to root to fix this nonsense with stubborn apps like Google maps

Good video but sorry Apple is so far behind Samsung its unreal. Isheep will always follow the rest. I got bored of Apple about 3 years ago. Same phone every year. I even gave the iphone 15 pro max a chance but it was so laggy compared to my fold 5 I traded it in after 3 months.

Yeah, 120hz screen and snappier motions in closing or opening apps makes that 24 better than the base and the pro…I’ve got the 24+ and 15PM, the transitions are quicker!
@@krskadave S24+ user here too and i absolutly agree. after 6 years i tried to go back to apple with an iphone 15 pro. selled it and bought the s24+. i just dont like iphones anymore. glad i had the chance to use them in their prime (4s,5s and 6plus)

iPhone's do not have a king display. The calibration is incredibly warm and over saturated. Not accurate in the slightest, it is seriously gross when you look at a calibrated monitor every single day. Even the Nothing 2a crushes it there, except for brightness. Keep in mind on paper specs of a display vary in the real world often falling short of advertised specs and can fall even further if the calibration is bad, like iPhones. Nice display on paper, but the calibration really lets it down regardless of the model.
I also have to say iPhone's have pretty bad reception. An example is in the town I live in both my Nothing Phone 1 and 2a get 5G almost everywhere. A family member who has an iPhjone 14, lives in the same area and never gets 5G in my town. Calls constantly drop out if they are long. I never had that issue with others without an iPhone. Doesn't really seem to matter the model, in Scotland anyway they aren't great and get crushed by budget devices.
IOS can be simple, but also pointlessly frustrating in an incredibly large amount of ways. IOS is also very invasive, constantly trying to get you further entrenched into their eco-system of subscriptions. It is so anti-consumer and anti-competitive it is awful. The entire package is terrible for the price.
Cameras are okay, definitely not quite as good as your making out either. Pro Max yeah, but standard models it isn't much better than budget android with exception to video's. Again, I know a lot of people with iPhone 14's and beyond and man, for the price it is nothing to write home about in the slightest. An iPhone is a jack of all trades, frustratingly simplified where Apple restricts the user in pointless ways.
FaceTime and iMessage is another kettle of fish. It isn't a selling point. Screams arrogance because the amount of iPhone users who grudge anything outside of iMessage and FaceTime is unreal. Such vanity associated with Apple users.
If you constantly have to prove the iphone is the king, it is because is no longer the king.
Tbh, up until the iPhone 13 they were (because of the performance, consistent cameras and smooth UI as their optimization for apps was WAY better) but Samsung did really well with the S23 Ultra and now after One UI 6 and the S24 Ultra, Samsung is slightly (I said slightly) better
I'm not a fanboy and I'll call this a 50-50 for now, we'll see what they both offer next year
If you're looking for an older used flagship then I would suggest this:
iPhone X series > S10 series
iPhone 11 < S20
iPhone 11 Pro series > S20 series
iPhone 12 > S21
iPhone 13 > S22
iPhone 14 < S23
And of course,
iPhone 15 < S24
iPhone lost due to the lack of a sim card tray.
