LOVE that purple fabric with the busy background fabric. I'm realizing that I LOVE busy backgrounds.
Yea!! It’s so fun to see what resonates with different people!
Loved seeing the textile quilt. I have been waiting to see it finished. You did such a nice job. What a treasure for the family. Thank you for these videos. I, always, look forward to them. ❤
Thank you so much!
I enjoy watching videos on quilts. I often watch videos from your website and i have, so far, really enjoyed watching them.
I'm so glad!
Tammie, you made my mystery bom quilt really shine. Thank you for all the kind words from your family. It is a pretty quilt but that credit goes to the fat quarter shop and the 12 designers who provided block patterns. Plus Camille Roskeley's amazing fabric line. Thank you so much for adding your professional touch and skills. You have been a pleasure to work with. Loved all the other quilts as well. I love seeing everyone's color and design choices. Such fun.
It was a pleasure Kelly! The quilt is gorgeous! I may have to make one for myself!
Beautiful quilts. Love them all, especially the Calico Garden quilt. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
Beautiful quilts. Love them all. Your gifts are so nice. The project bag is adorable. ❤😊
They are!
Hi! Tammy I am one of your new viewers/subscribers. I have been watching you for about a month. I too live here in Indiana, but far North. I just was watching this video today and notice as you pointed out the patterns of that puple quilt. The purple quilt that you showed in this video , the name of the quilt pattern is called Tennessee Waltz. A beautiful pattern. Where her black and white 2 tone fabric I have a solid black fabric. The solid color allow your eyes t o rest. That triangle block is made with the Darlene Zimmerman Tri-Recs ruler. I currently have that quilt with that pattern on my bed right now. I love watching your videos please keep them coming if you must. Thank you.
Thank you for the great information! And thanks for watching!
New to your channel so I’m catching up on older videos. Love to see others’ quilts and your info.
Welcome!!
It looks like Tennessee Waltz and Eleanor Burns has a book for it. It looks curved but is not. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the info!
Such beautiful quilts this week to see. So nice of Lisa to send you those cute gifts. Also that was clever of Kathy to figure out how to make that purple quilt - well done.❤
Yes it was! ♥️
I just love seeing all the quilts you have done for clients. Your own work is wonderful as well. Thanks for making these videos for us.
You are so welcome!
Wow, Lisa made some really special gifts for you. That was so awesome. She’s definitely talented for sure.
It’s always so fun to see others’ quilts done…I can’t wait to see your Calico Garden completed…I have set mine aside for a hot minute to work on other projects but I know I’d like to finish it…I call it the “massive elephant in my room” 😝 😜 Have a terrific 4th of July Miss Tammie. 🤗
Thanks so much Debbie! Lisa is very creative, for sure.
Have a great 4th! I am starting the Lori Holt Bee Vintage Appliqué Sew Along next week & I am following All Your Advice from your Calico Gardens. It has been so helpful to learn all your tips. The "flower spool" would make such a cute wallhanging for the Sewing Room. You have such a talent (!) for choosing the perfect pantograph for each quilt that enhances but doesn't overwhelm. Lovely group of client quilts this week.
Thanks for watching! Best of luck on your new quilt start.
Tammie I suffered s sroke and I am finally able ronavigate my phone. So glad I found you again
I'm so sorry to hear that but I am glad that it seems you are getting some strength back.
Beautiful quilts and quilting. Thanks for sharing. On the Lori Holt project… the little spool with flower blocks would make cute little walk hangings.
Great idea!
For Kathy’s (Janet’s) second quilt, there is a free pattern on Jordan Fabrics called Roundabout that looks a lot like what Kathy did should you wish to let others know who might want to try a pattern like her quilt. Oh my, what gorgeous quilts today - they are absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing, and happy quilting and stitching…………………
Thank you Pam!
The purple quilt is beautiful and very clever figuring out the piecing on your own. Amazing job!
The purple quilt is a variation of the Tennessee Waltz pattern. All your quilting is amazingly beautiful!❤
Oh thank you for the info!
Beautiful quilt and pattern. I have made these blocks using the Studio 180 Design ruler called V-Block Trimmer. The Tri-Recs rulers set does the same shape. Triangle in a square. Love making this shape for the unusual angle it creates.
Love your videos Tammie. Keep up the great informative style of videos.
Beautiful quilts! That blue and white one…WOW!!!
Hi Tammie, I just discovered your channel. The quilting is absolutely gorgeous! I just finished my 2022 Mystery BOM, the quilting you did on that is just perfect and adds so much to the quilt. I am thinking I need to have mine professionally quilted, to do it justice! So glad I found your channel. Thank you for sharing! ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Great job on your quilt blocks. Kathy does a nice job of blending her colors. Judy’s quilt is lovely. Love the color blend. Thanks for sharing your talents.
I think so too!
Love watching you tammie and seeing your projects and quilts 🥰Anxious to see each video. Thank you ❤️
Thank you so much!
Love to see how you quilted those quilts. Beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
This is a week I cannot decide which of your clients quilts I like best. They are all darling in their own way. Your Calico Garden quilt will be absolutely beautiful. Cannot wait to see it finished ❤. Have a safe n Happy July 4th!!
And a Happy 4th to you as well! 🇺🇸
Such a talented artist! I love listening to you talk about your thread selections, and how you decide on your pantograph designs. I am a long arm quilter, and we sew on a Gammill with a Statler computer program, so it’s all automatic. I need to learn to keep a notebook handy when I’m watching you so I can write down some of the pattern names! 😃
Gorgeous quilts this week by everyone, and have a safe and happy 4th of July! Happy quilting! 🇺🇸🧵🎉
Thank you so much! 🇺🇸
The V-block used in the lavender quilt is NOT a 60 degree triangle. They are fun to make with the Tri-Recs ruler or Studio 180- Deb Tucker ruler. It’s a beautifully made quilt.
Thank you for the information.
Lisa's gifts are precious! Beautiful quilting and gorgeous quilts! I'm pretty sure that Janet's quilt (the one she used the Tri-Recs ruler) is called 54-40 or Fight. Jenny Doan from Missouri Star demonstrates how to make it in a tutorial on their UA-cam channel. I made it a few years ago with MSQ's pattern. The pattern is easy to follow, and the rectangle/triangle block is made like you were thinking Tammie. Your Calico Garden quilt is going to be so pretty!
Thanks Jenny!
That’s a 60 degree triangle with two side pieces. There are several templates sets usually called peaky and spike to make those blocks.
Thanks so much!
The triangle templates also called the tri-Recs tool or ruler or template. You tube has some videos on this. Thanks for all you share! ❤❤❤
Thanks for the info!
The purple quilt which you were trying to figure out how it was pieced is done with the Tri-Recs rulers. I have done many of these and have taught classes to intermediate students. Not as hard as it looks!
Thank you for the information Doris!
Dawn Ericksen. I am working on a quilt top like this from tTemecula Quilt Co. Sheryl Johnson made the pattern. It alternates churn dash with the special triangle and four patch blocks. There was a pattern called Vintage Christmas in reproduction reds and viridian greens and cream, off white backgrounds.
Thanks for the info. I’d love to see a picture of yours when it’s done.
I made this quilt from a pattern called Emily’s wedding quilt by Liz Porter. I used thirty’s fa is and the Tri Rec tools.
Sounds beautiful!
Hi, I just discovered you and have subscribed.
Thanks so much!
The Pattern is Scrappy garden it constructed with two blocks 1) shoofly 2) 54-40/ Flight, we did as a quilt group project.
I was thinking it looked like Bonnie Hunter’s mystery quilt, “Celtic Solstice!” I did recognize the 54 40 or flight block. It’s interesting watching her try to figure it out! 🧵😉
Thanks for the info!
I’m love your long arm work! I’m curious, what brand is your long arm machine? I’ve been thinking about getting one but I’m not sure where to even begin. I’m in the very beginning of my research but I’m pretty sure I want a computerized machine because I don’t think I could do hand guided. I would appreciate any advice you have!!! Have a wonderful week!😊
I have a Handquilter Amara with Prostitcher. But I started with a hand guided Handiquilter HQ16. I bought the HQ16 because it was used, in my price range, and close to me. My mother had a Gammil that I had used but I had no other experience with any brand. And I did no research because I was too impatient. 🫣. But I have LOVED my Handiquilter machines. When it was time to upgrade, I chose Handiquilter again because I was already familiar with the basics of the machine and only needed to learn the computer side of it. I have had no major issues at all and wonderful customer service anytime I have contacted them. I know many others who have many other brands of longarm machines and are just as happy. So you may just need to go to some quilt stores and try out their demos to see which one appeals to you. Hope this helps.
@@tammieearnest Thank you so much for all the information! I’m impatient too but I find I have fewer bouts of buyer’s remorse if I have done my research. It took me a year before I bought my first embroidery/sewing machine. The second machine I bought was the same brand as my first because I loved it so much! I’m already looking forward to your next video, they are always inspirational!!!
Do you know how big you quilted the wave on wave pantograph?
the beautifyl presentas from your friend. i saw the pattern of corey of houses if you dont have the panel how big is the block thats go into each house- i write you from mexico city
Hi Gracie! I do not have the panel to measure. I’ll see if I can find out for you.
I've made those triangle units for a quilt I gave to the homeowners who rented to us when we lived in The Netherlands for two years. I beleive you use what are called tri-recs rulers to make them. Here's a video showing how to make them. ua-cam.com/video/r-ECRyj-XpM/v-deo.html
Thanks so much!
Like your videos very much , but even with my volume all the way up it is difficult to hear you.
I’m sorry for your bad experience. There is a volume on the bottom left of every You Tube video. You might check to be sure that is turned up as well. I hope this helps.
