Love, love, love your book quilt! Wish I had the capability to embroider the names like your Mom did. It made it even more special! I have a teenage grandson in Africa that’s an avid reader and this is a quilt I’m sure he would enjoy! Beautiful job, all of you!
Oh, he absolutely would! The pattern suggests several different ways of adding book titles to the quilt. While the embroidery is very special, it is not a necessity. I'm sure your grandson would love that it came from you!

Oh my gosh! That Library quilt! I’m totally in love with it! I’m a big reader so it’s close to my heart. The personalization just makes it so special. Some of the things I love: the plant, the font changes so the books don’t look alike, the fact that the authors’ names are there, the hand embroidery, the upside down books AND the fabrics are right up my alley AND the panto is perfect-sort of scholarly but yet fun! It all adds up to a wonderful total success. It took a long time, but it no doubt was worth waiting for!

Hi. I’m a new subscriber. Just found your channel. I’m an Indiana resident now formerly from Ohio. Nice to see someone from Indiana. I have been here for 12 years and yet to meet any quilters 🥲. I’m my husbands full time caregiver- plus have grown children , a young son and grandchildren so I’m home a lot 😂. Absolutely adore the bookshelf quilt for your daughter’s graduation. Just love your videos, Tammie! You do exquisite long arm quilting and also make beautiful quilts of your own. I enjoy everything about your videos from the absolutely lovely and soothing music you use when you show the quilts, to showing your quilts as well as showing your client quilts. I’m assistant librarian at a small, rural library here in Upstate New York and I made a bookshelf quilt that we hung at the library during National Library Week. Not every book that she read is listed on her quilt, there wouldn’t be enough room!! But to answer your question, we did not read Harry Potter when they were younger.
Thanks for making videos of all the quilts you get....can really binge on quilts with your videos...LOL!! I should warn you though it you ever decide to tackle the Flirt Quilt in Lori Holt's
book Scrapiness is Happiness, it is very tricky and directions are not totally clear. For a twin size, it apparently takes a total of 27 fat quarters of fabric. However, the quilt is a low
volume quilt, and there is no fat quarter bundle for sale with all Lori Holts low volume fabrics. The min. fabric sold on fat quarter, is l/2 yd. With the illustrations, it appears there are
two shapes of blocks, and total no. is 9 different fabrics. Those 9 fabrics are then rotated differently throughout the quilt. The cutting fabric shapes is abit tricky also. Proceed with
caution. I am tackling it becaue I love the pattern, and want a low volume quilt with LH fabrics. Your Alpine quilt with the houses and snowflakes, reminds me of the Hometown
collection LH is coming out with this summer/spring. There are quilt seeds sold separately or as a bunch of 9 together that are cute houses from that collections fabric with
a unique quilt pattern on the side of house. They will al be put together for a quilt and LH will blog with the finishing specs like border, backing, and binding. I plan on making that
and hope that time goes fast until they are available. She has a video on her YT channel of this upcoming collection.
I think I saw the house quilt that Lori is coming out with . . . and I would love to do that one!
