    Oh, yay! Something to watch before going to bed tonight! I so look forward to your videos, Tammie. I found you not long ago, but I've worked my way through all of your past videos. Thank you for providing such a positive, gentle spirit in quilting and in life!

    Regarding your UFO with the embroidery, I think you should quilt it. It’s a gorgeous quilt and I would consider the embroidery flowers that you did as artistic license. Quilt it.

    It would look so awesome to do a two circles recreating the eclipse . It shows a very unique day. We felt the temp go down about 10 degrees. The eclipse alone now makes me want to do a temp quilt. Thanks for sharing

    You did a great job learning the skill to freemotion your projects. The Turkey is lovely! I went straight from following a pantograph on the back of my quilting frame with a laser pointer to adding a digital automation program to my Grace quilting machine. It makes me a happy quilter going from picking fabrics and pattern, sewing, quilting, binding...just like you said.
    Loved your personal projects as well as the beautiful quilts you quilted for others. Now I'm going to go rewatch the MSQ Pinwheel Charms Table Runner video. Thanks for providing the link!

    The small brown one you made to practice on looks like the Karen Brown baby quilt she used to determine shrinkage of cotton and batting. You do nice work. Thank you for sharing! P.S. I had the Lynette Jennings book too!

    Love your quilts, funny how we talk about our mistakes or beginning journey of not so good stitching. Very few people notice but us. I used the orange peel for the first time. Picked out a complete row and restitched. Much happier with it.

    One thing that I really appreciate in a quilt pattern is the finished size of the block at each section you make. That way you can correct any size issues as you go along, it guarantees that the finished block is the right size. Pam Buda who is one of my favorite teacher and pattern makers, always puts that in her quilt patterns.

    • @tammieearnest
      @tammieearnest  2 місяці тому

      So true! Checking your progress at the end of each section is a great way to be sure you are happy at the end.

    Sally did a fantabulous job coordinating the fabrics on her turkey trot! That's a gorgeous quilt! I like the Baptist fan in it, too!

    Hi love watching your channel it's always very informative and inspirational to see other people's colour choices and styles. A suggestion when you are sewing the temperature triangles would it be an advantage to number the hst blocks with the date order ( 1 - 30/31 ). Thank Anne.😅

    When you do more custom do you use manual setting, precision, etc.? turning off the stitch regulator scares the heck out of me but I know it sews more smoothly. I’m afraid I’m going to break something 😅 I stick with hand guided pantographs with the laser light quilt from behind.

    I have been to the Grand Canyon and what an experience. It almost looked like I was looking at a picture. So vast. And the eclipse was almost total where I live. My neighbors and I talked about several experiences we have had with nature and the weather while watching the eclipse. A very enjoyable afternoon. Tammie your quilting journey is so interesting. Beautiful colors.

    The Turkey Trot pattern was a Jan Patek wall hanging. I bought the kit directly from her before there was an MSQ. Don’t know if they have an agreement with her. Jenny and Jan did a video tutorial together at one time. Have the TB book you showed but haven’t made as many from it as you have.
