Love the new and very chill Track! I do prefer the location of that valve in the OG9-3, much easier to access in front of the motor. Love to see how yours is coming along!! Still looking forward to owning a 2009-era 9-3. Love those lines.
I recently had to get the bypass valve replaced... then my car started leaking coolant again.. and had no power steering. So had to get the water pump replaced, old one was all bent and messed up.. a week later got the coolant low light again a couple days ago. Then today stopped to get gas and turned the car off . When I started it again the engine is super loud all of the sudden. Not sure what it is.. but it's looking like problem after problem. It's a 2005 Saab 9 5 2.3 arc
Every problem you've had is identical to what I had with my "01 wagon!! Kyle, run a competition to come up with a term for that period of happiness between fixing a fault and the next one occurring LOL.
@@mb3656 Cool. I think Kyle and I got similar cars at similar ages....and the normal wear n tear stuff is starting to show. Happens to all cars I guess no matter what brand around the 20 year mark. The joys of doing a "light" rolling resto....
If i had to daily my 9-5 with 200k i'd probably be doing a lot more repairs on it. A year ago when i replaced my ABS module I 1st pulled a 04 aero one then found an 03 linear. I put the aero module back under the hood of the car. Of course it's long gone. Oh well
I have a 2003 95 2.3 linear with 120k. And a 2007 93 aero with 133k. Why is your 2004 95 an aero??? Also I have a coolant leak in the 2003 95 2.3 linear. It does not leak all the time and have not been able to find it. Any suggestions on how to find the leak?? Just had the rack and pinion changed on it because I lost power steering and had it towed to garage. Expensive fix was charged 2370.00!!!! Then I fixed the subframe camber and new tires .568.00 (I went to a different mechanic for this) So I have a lot of money invested in the car and don’t want to lose it. Thank you for all your videos. You are amazing. Come to NC 😀😀my daughter works on the things she can on the cars she is awesome too!!
Kyle,I have a 9-5 b205e automatic and have a coolant leak I suppose from the bypass valve…seen a lot of people taking it out and non having problems anymore…what do you suggest?
I have a 02 9 3 with close to 300k on it. #1 cylinder has 0 compression.. I found a 04 wrecked.. what all would I have to change to make the 04 engine work in the 02?
Well your old 02 engine runs on the Trionic 7 Engine Management System while the 04 uses the newer Trionic 8. IMO the older 2.0t (B205) is a more robust engine when it comes to failures. If you can find a 04 - 09 9-5 engine, it will probably be the best thing to do as these engine no longer suffers from oilsludge. Remember that oilchange is key to a long lasting engine.
Thanks for all the videos Kyle. You do great work.
thank you

I had a traction control light after a wheel alignment, finally it was just the steering wheel sensor that needed calibration
Well done, Kyle. :)

I have same issue with ABS module. Lights would come on intermittently but now they're on all the time.
easy repair!
Kyle, how so?
nice video man. I just got myself a project, bought a 9-5 Aero Sedan 00.
dreading the rust repairs during this winter tho.
how bad is it?
seems bad. welding is needed i suppose. trunk has some rust too but seems like a minor problem compared to the doglegs imo.

Great channel, subscribed!
Will this valve make coolant leaking in passasjer floor mate? Or heater core pipes O-rings? I have some coolant on my floor mate passasjer side 08 9-5
