I cannot believe how common drivers would ever allow basic maintenance to go undone but it happens. The fact that this one had slightly red coloration was a positive thing. Doing your flush twice, even better!
Bought a 2004 9-5 Aero wagon last weekend with 177k on the ticker. Plan on flushing the transmission with Mobil 3309 amongst the other fluids and filters. Definitely going to check out the torque mount too. Looking forward to watching many more videos!
I just found a 180000 mile 2004 9-5 Aero to replace my dad’s 9-5 1999 2.0t which died on me a couple of weeks ago. Repair bill minimum €1500. It’s 200km from home so when I found a 2004 Aero estate for sale in the UK for £1150 it was a no brainer really. It’s had most of its suspension and under frame components replaced in the last six months and comes with a load of brand new parts still to fit. All is not lost for the 2,0t though. I refused the « generous » offer from the local scrap man to give me 90€ for it. I decided to gift it to any Saab fan who’d be willing to take it on and preferably get it back on the road. The community here in France is great. I went through my VW T4 Transporter forum through a member who also is a Saab fan. A guy from Eastern France contacted me and is taking Sven on as a project (he already runs 2 9-5’s and a 9-3). Great guy who’s planning on putting her back on the road. He’s leaving the headlights I put on it for LHD so I can save myself £600 for new headlights on the Aero?(they will fit I hope) All’s well that ends well 😉 Keep in Saabing, great channel. Rob
I have a 2007 Saab 9-5 aero manual transmission and I would like to know what type of transmission oil do I use out here in Canada and how do I change the oil on a manual transmission please???
Greta job ! Keep it up , Best regards from Juárez, México! You didn't share the polyurethane insert for the transmission mount , only transmission mount replacement
Thank you! Here it is: www.powerflexusa.com/shop/product/pff66-221-saab-9-5-98-10-ys3e-engine-torque-rod-to-engine-bushing-manual-petrol-2273?gclid=CjwKCAjwzvX7BRAeEiwAsXExo0Yyi3-htcnUo2s_zzK1Tkkj5TLn5inZpMfuWz5BK2lrBJuQNZUBTBoCy4UQAvD_BwE
Nice, work. You should re-adapt the transmission after a fluid change or you can cause excess wear. You already have a Tech-2 so it should be easy. There's a learning procedure to follow you should look up. I can link you something if you can't find it.
I have an 08 Saab 9-5 2.3t it’s got the sentronic Manuel mode. I can’t find the transmission dipstick to check the fluids. if you can give me an idea on how to find it I’d greatly appreciate it
Hii,does any one know or suggest problem with saaab 9 5 2.3t 185hp. In 3th or 4th gear some thimes lose throttle, like sort of fuel cut, no response no nothing. Only turbo guage moves and after few seconds car continue to drive ( but i think car has no full boost at all, guage only go to half yellow) and no check engine lights
Airflow, start with vacuum lines, inspect those. 1) Listen for hissing noise’s(with the hood open and engine running, locate the source of noise). If no result of step 1) 2) change the engine air filter. At least inspect it. If 2) doesn’t do it 3) clean MAF-sensor (mass air flow) use a electrical spray or a MAF-spray 4) get a cheap code reader that can read Saab codes, 20-30$. Read and post here
This guy is really into the ALL THING🇳🇴🐺🙋♂️

I enjoyed your video, Kyle. Just wondering, I have a Saab 9-3, where is the dipstick to check the transmission fluid?
I'm also curious, I've got a 2004 9-3 linear with the FM55 manual 5 speed transmission. I can't find the fill plug!

@@KylePancis thanks
Nice video Kyle, but have you thought to bring the SAAB 9-4 to the channel?
No, but not a bad idea!
Hi Kyle, can you please tell me what diagnostic tool you use on the 9-5? Well, something other than Tech2?!
4 liters you put it in ? You said 4 quarts , me i fillled up with 4 liters, it should be a problem?thanks, i like your videos!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video! Is this similar to doing s 2008 95 aero trans?
I just picked one up and the trans is slipping
Manual trans lasts much longer on these cars.
I have a 2005 9-5 Saab areo I have air conditioner probably
Four quarts? Isn't that a gallon?
Rune, 4 US quarts are indeed 1 US gallon.
@@brookeking8559 thanks, I just needed to get my euro head around it.
Rune, you’re welcome. A US quart is nearly a liter, if that helps with visualization.
@@brookeking8559 yes, the bottles indeed appeared to be around one litre👍
