Closed the vid and realized it was a great vid by a small UA-camr so i should leave some feed back so here we are. Great simple editing, got to the point so fast and answered the question like a pro, like covering both money and usability view point. Most videos cover one or the other. And i like how at the end you warn about not overcomplicating things, notion is supposed to improve productivity not reduce it, and the advice is at the end so if people already know the advice they can click off 9/10 vid bro keep it up.
plus side...it can do anything. down side...it can do anything. Will spend a bazillion hours setting up, building out, etc it seems and if you don't know where to start you can end up in paralysis and waste a lot of time building out the functionality. I think one of the big potential uses is to use templates already designed by others. I am using Google Sheets, Google Docs and Notes right now but I can see benefit in having everything in one place vs across those multiple tools
Thank you for the intro video. I'm interested in Notion to set up our business trust with several small branch business. It sounds like this platform could organize and keep up with everything. I'm always worried about a back up or download. Is that possible?
I’m a plan reviewer for a government agency and it would be neat to see how I could collect resources, tutorials, articles, and even like a task books/employee manual in notion. I’ve started, but usually lose steam.
Fantastic !! Can u make a tutorial of a personal book library , with List view, author wise books, status wise view like -read-current reading ,to read , reading calender , key words summery , main subject summery etc.
I teach piano and use a few different systems to manage my customers. I'd love to try and use notion to consolidate all the systems but not sure what the capabilities are. The ones that I'm not too sure about is the ability to have an instant messenger type system and an automatic invoicing system. do you think they're possible in Notion?
Do any of your videos cover Inline vs Full Page databases in Notion and when you should use one or the other or if you should always use a certain one?
Great work putting in some entertainment into a informational/how to channel! Enjoyed a lot. Btw trying to adapt other templates to my workflow has been bugging me. I'm a surgeon, looking to have a setup where i manage OR times, create databases with articles i interested in and divide them in diferent areas, take notes on certain things, and so on. But melding that with personal stuff aswell has been chalenging. Since calendar/to do lists should be the same but should have work related stuff/personal stuff. Also reading on the whole secondbrain approach and see if i get into that flow aswell...any advice on how to approach this?
love this, I'm trying to create the perfect template for all of this in one. Could you give me more details about being a surgeon and what a notion setup would need to involve? I can make a hyper specific video for the channel at some point :)
Ok! So ill give you a sense of my workflow in a week and what i do. Better to explain it like that and then tell you about other general goals/tasks workrelated Week workflow: Mondays - 24h on call emergency department ( i use a todo app to put all my task , see patient x, check patient y ct scan, prep patient z, talk to relatives of patient w, and so on...) i find a todo app better since its a do this today and now kind of task Tuesdays - day off personal stuff Wednesday - Operationg Room time ( we get a monthly heads up of what OR time we will get in the end of the month related to the next month so will have to get patients and schedule them) Normaly i enter this blocks of time on my calender Thursday - Outpatient consultations all day (some times have to move this day due to personal/family related stuff. This consultations normaly produce some tasks (talk to doctor x about a patient, do a specific report, refer a patient to other institution, good case to work and article about etc...) Friday- "Surgery ward" reunion- All the doctors gather to discuss important changes on the hospital, ER schedules. And there is a spot left to predetermined lectures about a pathology or a article review. This could generate tasks todo later on the month and so on. The rest of the morning i do the burocratic workload i have still to do. Extras: - Data base of the current patients i have admited in the ward - Data base of the surgeries ive done and what was the specific outcome -Interested also in a space where i could put some ideas of interesting cases to present in a lecture or article to write. - A place where i could save/capture interesting articles/videos (yes youtube has lots of them) and sort them out by the diferent pathologies they refer and so on... - A area where i can see my current projects ( medical protocol i'm writting, article im researching and writting etc..) - And my Family personal area aswell (but thinking about sperating this altogether - but the calendar have to be the same or sync together Hope this helps us both And keep the good work, will keep an eye in the channel and support!
Oh man! Thank you for this! I really need it!!! After I've first opened Notion and checked out the samples in it, it blew my mind 🤯! It's almost like you can design your own apps within those pages. Insane ammount of possibilities, and it all stays really neatly organized - I have GOT to learn to use this all to it's potential!! I've got about a dozen, no less, Journaling, organizing, noting apps, and somehow, I'm still on the lookout for that "soul mate". Right now I'm going berserk with TickTick, by that I mean I'm noting everything I see and hear, pretty much, it's so great for that. I'm hoping Notion will be something in between TickTick and Diarium. Though I do not wish to replace Diarium, it's simply perfection for a logging your day and activities, as it integrates with weather, Google Fit, Calendars, gallery, etc.
This is my third comment and I'm spamming at this point, but I have one major question to ask, after watching this, if I may: is Notion good and efficient for various information gathering and sorting, like links for videos, articles, products of interests; also Journaling and to be used as a planner? I'm thinking of TickTick, which I'm sure you are aware of. Thank you for all your tutorials, I've subbed and am going to try and watch them all, as I can clearly see the huge potential of this insane app!!! 🍻 🍻
You are incredibly likable and your humor "tpye" I enjoyed. I have been procrastinating learning this platform to customize it for a few of my projects/businesses. Content creators like you make me not want to end it all on my journey to proficiency. I appreciate you.
hey sorry I missed this comment, I'm glad I could help! The journey to become more proficient with Notion or just general efficiency is well worth it. Glad I could help in some way ✌️
Almost done watching this first Notion video tutorial, and I'm covered in sweat 😰!!! @#$&%€¿¡!!! Omg... This may be a little too much for me to care about.... But then again, in a world without Notion, as I've stated in my previous comment, I HAVE TO USE A DOZEN DIFFERENT APPS!, as each one does soemthing well that the other's don't or lack alltogether.... Soo....as frustrating as Notion seems to a beginner like me, I will just have to bite down and learn it.
Notion can be overwhelming at the start but once you understand how to use it then you don't have to use all these other productivity tools. :) Everything is just on the one dashboard. But yes, I totally understand, it's overwhelming at the start
@@ProductiveSetups Thank You for reply!! I think anything of real value requires a bit more effort, like Notion. It really seems it can replace my journal, info gathering for various interests, lists, but as a planner, yes, as your templates prove, it can be used as well, although I wish it integrated with calendar and had a decent reminder notification function, but maybe it will in the future. For that, I'd still need other apps like Ticktick, calendar apps. Once I'm comfortable enough to use it as my primary info/planner app, I would like to be able to import data from other apps, like journal entries, lists and notes. Maybe as I learn it I'll find a way. 🍻 🍻!!!
why the small channels you find at midnight are the greatest?

Thank you a lot dear Frined!
So glad to hear!
Like for every time I say "the beautiful thing about Notion"
honored to be the 21st, thanks for the awesome content
I subbed. Great personality, high energy and excited. This is obviously a niche channel but I have no doubt you will be blowing up

100% agree. imagine if I made a template that was like an all in one system for Notion 👀
Superb video, thank you! The only question that remains is why has no one told me about Notion earlier?
Thank you for the intro video. I'm interested in Notion to set up our business trust with several small branch business. It sounds like this platform could organize and keep up with everything. I'm always worried about a back up or download. Is that possible?
Notion Plus has 30 day backup in case you delete anything which is useful. And you can export pages as CSV and PDF :)

Is there a read-aloud function? 🤔
I don't think so, but there are a few chrome extensions that would work well!

Just because you can do anything doesn’t mean you should. You can’t import email so I wouldn’t met it anywhere near a CRM.
you could import a CSV file with the CRM info and have the emails as one of the columns :)

I didn't like that topic of the video name transitioned to a tutorial
Yeah, no. Not worth it. Too geeky. And I'm in IT. Notion tries to put disorder into order and it fails.
it can get quite geeky, but you can keep it super simple as well :)
