    I've recently become very Notion-curious but haven't quite taken the full plunge yet. I'm still in the "walking around the deck and dipping my toes" phase. But I've watched a BUNCH of introductory Notion videos, and just want to say that this is one of the best ones I've seen so far. Very nicely done. Kudos!

      Glad you enjoyed it! I realized that I didn't have a good overview of Notion so I hope this helps people who are new to the platform understand it a bit better!

    I've been enjoying your videos, Kalyn! Have you shown your weekly planning page in a video yet? Just from getting a peak of it in a few of your videos, I'd love to get a tour of those pages!

      Josie, thank you so much for your kind words! I haven't done a video specific to my weekly planning page, but I do show it a little more clearly in this Personal Dashboard walk through video I did! ua-cam.com/video/viJX4V4fSRE/v-deo.html

    I'm going to start with notion, this the best video I feel, which summarizes Notion's usage.

    Oooh I would love to see more about your learning library! I take a million screenshots of stuff I want to remember and it seems like this could be a possible way to organize it in Notion maybe?

    What type pricing plan are you using? (Free, Plus, Business...). Can any of these features be accessed via the "Free" version? What is the intention/benefit of the "7 Day or 30 Day" history

    • @KalynBrookeCo
      @KalynBrookeCo  6 місяців тому

      I’m on the Plus plan so I can have unlimited file uploads and access to automations. You can check out this handy visual of what is included in the free plan versus their other available plans: www.notion.so/pricing. Personally, I never look at page history, but it may be helpful if you work with a big team and something on the page is accidentally changed and you need to revert back to a previous version of that page. Hope that helps!

    Did I see somewhere where your Notion Master Tasks template is available?

      I don’t currently have this in my shop, but I do have a Notion Basics Class and interactive community available and this video gives a good dashboard walkthrough which may have some related info that could be helpful if you are designing one yourself: ua-cam.com/video/viJX4V4fSRE/v-deo.htmlsi=cAXVEb7ILwQwq8Pg

      Hi! I'm not super familiar with Chromebook, but you can access Notion in your browser--it doesn't have to be downloaded as an app! You can visit www.notion.so/ and sign up for free there. :)

    Thanks for the video, I was curious, but I just found this is not for me. this is a tool to plan non trivial things, I think is a waste of time to dedicate "time" to notion instead of the things you actually need to do... I mean, you plan your day, you load into notion, and then you have to follow the list exactly as it is, just to realize that you have skipped things to do just because you didn't plan it in notion... I mean, do you have to plan to go to the gym and drink a cup of coffee on a daily basis, c'mon guys, we are getting too dependent..

      @KalynBrookeCo  10 місяців тому +2

      I'm confused as to why you think we have to put trivial items into Notion in order to actually do them? Nowhere in the video did I insinuate that. And Notion is not for trivial things. My online business practically runs on Notion as an organization system and it's the only way my team and I are able to stay on top of things. Travel planning, insurance numbers and paperwork, vet visit logs... these are all things that are available within 1-2 clicks inside Notion. You don't have to use or even love the tool, but it's smart to have some sort of planning and organization system if you want to make progress on your goals and not be reactionary toward the things you do everyday.

      @@KalynBrookeCo if it works for you, then it's fine. my guess is that you waste more time doing thing in Notion, than actually doing it, is my perception. if you want to make progress on your goals, and keep track of everything, you should get a proper Project management tool and focus your activities from a project management perspective. but again, you don't have to change what makes you happy.
