Taylor its great that you are getting good weather and to get more hay to keep you going through the winter Hopefully you will be able to get another cutting The more the better❤😊
Hi again Lady Tay and Brent. Thanks for another wonderful video. Guess you and Brent labored on Labor Day. Holidays for you two are just like regular workdays. And the thing about it, it doesn’t appear to bother you two even when so many other people are relaxing and having picnics, etc. My hats off to you both for being so conscientious and having work ethics way beyond expectations. Again, thanks for the wonderful video and I’m so much looking forward to seeing the next one. Have a great week and hope your weather allows you to get done what you have planned. Bye for now….
Hi, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Yep just another work day, but when ya love what ya do it’s easy to enjoy the days! Always love to hear from y’all, thanks so much!
I agree with you. Loving what you do is 99% of the job. Your joking makes it evident that you love what you do. Brent is funny with all of his sayings too. Be careful in the heat and stay hydrated, Please.
Watching all your videos. So great to see someone loving their work. You guys work so great together. Farm land in Maine looks so much like Tn. God bless you and keep farming.
A nice salmonella sandwich, lol. Hope Brent does not get stoned again in that field, lol. The frost pushes rocks up to the surface so you get a new crop of rocks each year. The land is full of rocks from the glaciers dumping the rocks and soil so you will have new ones for many years. Thank you for taking the time to make a video for us and Brent for recording you some there. Hope you all stay safe and healthy Tay.
Holy Toledo what a view you have at times in your fields! Any good fishing in those lakes? We all love your personality Taylor, but having your mood boosted by such a great person like Brent with such a fantastic dry sense of humor! You're a lucky girl Taylor!!!
It is beautiful isn’t it! I’m not really sure only been fishing a handful of times in my life but there’s always lots of people out so must be something out there😀. Yes Brent’s sense of humor is a great mood booster. Definitely a blast to work with!
I love your filming all the action on the farm . It shows the hard hard work you all do on smallish private farms. Your skills in all areas are amazing. Thanks!
That’s a pretty farm you’re working hay at. My wife and I drove from Belfast to Moosehead Lake back in June taking backroads part of the way. It was such a fun drive with lovely scenery of farms, hills and lakes.
Good morning Tay ☀️ Glad it didn’t damage it to bad cutter bar repair can get very costly. Glad you are getting haying done again as i am. It was 95 and humid here yesterday and supposed to be again today. 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️🤗
Hi, definitely could have been an expensive day but in the end it turned out alright! great to hear that you are enjoying some good hay weather ( even if it is ridiculously hot 🥵) Stay cool out there!!
Rocks raise up from the hidden depths of fields naturally - every Winter, Frost, Thawing. Welcome to New England. Add Rock Picking to regular field maintenance chores. Great new channel Tay and Bret . Work farm safe 💚
Freeze thaw cycles. Growing new rocks for centuries!! Lol. Thats why we had to pick rocks in the same fields every spring... Some of em YUUUGE. Ah the joys of farming land that was once under glaciers...
Thank you Miss Taylor!!! Great stuff as always!!! I appreciate you taking the time to get really good content!! Please be careful. It's so easy to get hurt !!! God bless you all !!!! Eddy
Taylor I was thinking when the breakdown happened if you were moving you would be stressing about breaking something again. Glad to see it was repaired and finished the field. Farmers work whether it is a holiday or not. Proud of you and Brent keeping the farm going. God bless you as the field work is nearing an end this year.
Hi Taylor, in Wisconsin right now it is 60 degrees a nice start to fall. It takes teamwork when you Brent can over come any setbacks on your farm whether it be rainy weather or maintenance on your machinery. Great video again , sharp and clear and detailed.😊
That rock is just the tip of the larger rock lurking, raising up with every Frost/Thaw cycle.. return with a digger to extract it, when you two have time! 🤣.
could almost smell the newly mowed hay with this video. Loved this video. The things that happen when mowing. Glad you got it fixed. Have a happy Labor Day. I know that farming is one of the most demanding occupations because you get no time off. Even if you are sick the work goes on and the cows must be milked. God Bless.
Take a hammer to that rock! That's how it works, lots of hay, but to wet to get it, or not so much hay and it's dry! Farming, legalized gambling! Brent cracks me up!! I worked Labor day, I'm a meat cutter! I work where it's cool all the time, 50 degrees!
It is such a good feeling to finish first cut, and you must be close to finishing second. Congratulations! I always feel rich when my barn is full of hay and the woodshed is full. Next time I need tools for a field repair I'm sending you, I always forget the one crucial tool I really, really need. Keep up the good work.
Yes it feels so nice! We have about half of of our second crop still to do. I know what ya mean, just something about a full woodshed and hay barn. Makes ya sleep better at night! I got lucky this time usually I forget that one too that I really need to finish a job😂. Thanks so much!
@@tayfarms I am actually amazed you can milk in peace at night, we had a neighbor like that, everyone who didn't milk cows showed up at his milking time to enjoy the hour and half of entertainment.
Hi Taylor thanks for sharing another great video. Brent was certainly making the old tractor 🚜 work, nice crop of grass there. Unfortunate about the stone just what you don't need when you're trying to get on. Brent has got a wicked sense of humour bet there's never a dull moment. It's certainly hot over in England at the moment but not what you're having, how are the girls coping?.Hope you enjoyed your food something healthy i hope 😅. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Great to see you both again, you both work so hard and so well together, that makes for a happier life and i just love Brent and yours sense of humour 😂 best wishes and please be safe, its a risky life as you well know ❤
I bet you twisted the drive shaft between the turtles somewhere. I have a 3-point disc's mower that has a twist in the shaft. Runs great & stays in time so I just keep running it. No need to fix it unless it really comes apart.
Howdy from the Texas panhandle where we are about to tie a record. In 2011 we had 48 days of 100 degrees or higher. So far this year we’ve had 45. The next two it’s supposed to hit 103, then cool down to 100. Please send me some of that cool weather y’all have up there in Maine. How much is farm diesel where you are at?
I had the whole drive head loosen and fall off luckily got it on back to field same problem with another head. Didn’t see a problem but it was there. Ok now just stuff happens
Tks for sharing..but I hope the tractor was turned off when you was working on the disbine? My heart was in my throat!!!! Please say the tractor was nt running!!!!
Hi Tay! Have you ever had heat exhaustion where you need to rest for the rest of the day? It's really hot here as well in Southern Vermont the past few days. Take good care Tay. Stay hydrated.
Great video as always Taylor! Quick question: The F-150 is Brent's pickup and the RAM is yours? And I hope you got the wheather on your side for this hay
Kinda depends on who you ask or what website you use but the general consensus is somewhere between 125-140 horse, just depends on how you tune it I think 🙂
no one puts in drain tile there we did a couple of our fields and it made a world of difference when we can get on those to do hay you guys should try a bit there think youd like it get your money back fast esp years like this aint farming great!!
You must be happy to know it isn't just you who breaks things needing field repairs! It is inevitable that you'll break things when you mix spinning metal with dirt n rocks in it!!
I never understand why you folks tedder your hay. Here, we mow one day, rake the next and bale the third day. If it rains, then we rake it again to turn the windrows, but usually that will cost leaves hitting it again with the rake, but must get it dry to bale. No teddering. That looks like that operation would knock off a lot of leaves, leaving stemmy hay.
You guys get a lot done for just having two people for the entire operation. God Bless You and keep feeding America!
Thank you, will do!!
Thank you for sharing your day on the farm.
Holding my breath when you started the discbine! Thankful it seems to be working fine.
Was not great idea to start mower Brent standing in front of it 😐
Taylor its great that you are getting good weather and to get more hay to keep you going through the winter
Hopefully you will be able to get another cutting
The more the better❤😊
The machine is a Tedder. The actively of using it is “tedding” hay. Lol Great job guys.
That panoramic scenic view of the hills and surroundings was fantastic.

Just so you know sweetie it's Tedding not teddering I laugh every time you say it
I think adding ing to the noun tedder is just fine. Maybe it’s a Maine thing. 😁
Windrow becomes windrowing so why not do it to tedder.
In Wisconsin it was tedding with tedder.
@@cdfps750I know tedding is correct. Just suggesting local latitude is ok and so darn charming.
In WI we called drinking fountains bubblers, viva la diference!
Why do tether so much we cut it double windrow lte it dry and bale it
