I just watched your “Finally introducing myself…” video. Great stuff. I hope you continue to enjoy farming. Don’t worry about no new tractors or other stuff just keep showing us the life. Good luck with the maple syrup. My mother was born and raised in Northeastern Vermont on a dairy farm. Her family‘s maple syrup is one of my greatest joys in life, keep it up
The big 1066 International needs a wheeless Pottenger mower to mow with because their mower is not current and needs modernized to mow with less fuss, like tires that never go flat. But it will need a rack so it can quickly be hooked up.
You look great Taylor! It’s great that the rains have finally stopped for a bit to let you both back into the fields and harvest the hay. Those grasshoppers are definitely stealing food from your ladies, so it’s good that you made it out and got the fields cut! 😂 Take care, Taylor. Enjoy your Sunday…
when cutting the back cut first or cut counter clock wise you are better able to cut or trim close to the outer edge of the field. If you started cutting the field clock wise first then when you go back to cut the back cut you will find that you will miss some of the hay due to fact that it is hard to judge how close to get to the outer edge of the field or fence with the tractor so the grass strip will be narrow enough so the discbine can cut it with out missing any of the hay.
I live in the central Missouri so I can say that the Midwest has been getting the much needed rain 🌧️🌧️🌧️. All across the Midwest was getting very dry from the heat. So I can say that I'm thankful for the rain that we have been getting here in Missouri. And thank you for thinking about us Midwestern's.
It has been an extremely strange year where we live in the hills of central NY on the PA line. It was extremely dry in April and May. Some people made what hay there was in late May and early June. Since the middle of June it has rained almost every day. I am a semi- retired dairy farmer with beef cattle. Enjoy your videos..
Awesome video again Taylor thanks, glad the rain 🌧 has finally stopped and you can get to mowing. Looks like you still have a decent amount of grass so extra valuable feed for the girls. That Kabota sounds rather good working the mower. Hope you have a good week ahead take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Tay you do an excellent job explaining why you cut the outside the opposite direction as the rest of the field. I thank you for making the videos. Your farm is beautiful, love the strips and woods. The joke about growing rocks is so true, the glaciers left them years ago but they still keep growing. Stay safe and healthy Tay.
.. I was so into that cute LiL' last pass cross the final wet strp but the audio pthed out ...!... oh my im complaining like a share cropper now ..?!! TY Ms Tatlor ..!
I am glad you are able to mow some! Here in Virginia, it is either raining a lot or a drought. I enjoy your different camera shots. Thank you!!! That takes a lot of extra time for you. You always have a positive attitude!!! I admire you for that!!! Please take care of yourself and God bless!!!!! Eddy
Hi Taylor looking great super video you are great advertisements for Kubota tractors great tractor for only 95 hp weather is the same there as here in Ireland 😉
As usuual another great video. Our mower was a sycle bar mower driven by the ground. When we stopped the mower stopped. Fun times in the Hay field. Glad you didn't have to use the canoe for farm work LOL. Have a great day and God Bless
Tay another great job love your reasons the why an way you do whatever chore might b central indiana we have caught up on our rain totals mostly grain crops in my area have a great week
Hi Taylor, great to see the rain has gone so you can get more hayling and bayling done. I was wondering what the brown building in the background was? It looks like a lovely old traditional farming building. Your mower did a great job which makes it easier for you. Enjoy the blue skies while they last. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
I'm glad to have found this channel. Taylor, you seem the quintessential New England farmer; no nonsense, hardworking, and make do with what you've got. It's that essence that makes your channel a breath of fresh air. I grew up in Rhode Island and now live in upstate New York - "Just a Few Acres", "Maple Farmer", and "Buck Hill Farm" represent some of farms found up here. Pouring buckets of rain right now. Take care. Please continue to do what you do and take us along, too.
thanks for the explanation was wondering why you mowed that way you do a great job i would have the mans corn mowed to!! what is the brown building we are looking at?
Good morning Taylor glad your getting some hay made. Watching your video on the TV commenting on my phone. Lol. We are finally getting some useful rains the crops don't look to bad right now. Great videos!
Hi Taylor, Just found your channel a few days ago. I subscribed and will like your videos. I have started to watch your earlier videos. I am a retired farmer who watches many of the farming channels. Your boss Brent is a smart man to allow you to do youtube while at work. Chances are he would not be able to keep farming without your help. Maybe he would consider letting you buy your way into the operation to eventually take over. It is much better to pass the farm on to the younger generation than to see the land sold and developed. Keep up the good work.
You are very wise to wear ear protection. I wear hearing aids because We were not aware of the danger of noise when I was young. Open station tractors with straight pipe exhaust - and chain saws! Getting a little rain in Iowa.
Another great video Taylor it is super wet here in New Brunswick Canada to can hardly get on the fields hopefully we'll get some good painting weather soon stay safe keep farming😅
Good morning Taylor, we are getting some rain in Wisconsin . It’ always fun riding along with you while you are mowing hay. Are you going to be able to get a second crop? Great video as usual. 🚜
I love riding with you over timer together. I have a fun but you did a beautiful job. Have a wonderful day. Stay safe be careful in the barn. I hope your owner owner don’t get upset over the house you make a new yard in the field I mean, have a nice day kiddo, your friend.
Lots of fun. I like the extended shot of the cutting. It gives a chance to really get into it and just take it all in an see what's happening. Maybe that's just me. Thanks.
So cool how fast you can go with that kuhn. Back in the dark ages of early 70s, we had a New Idea Cut-Ditioner and had to go somewhat slower. No discbines or such back then. Also looks like you have HST on the Kubota. Nice machine. You mow and drive really well!! Great job, great video. Thanks!
i have mow the outside of a medow both ways, mow it first and alo mowed it last after going around the whole peice first, make`s no difference what way you mow it,the grass stands up one way just as good as the other, your own preference on how u do it
2nd viewing...you tube seems to know my weaknesses. how about a rock box for the ones you can lift and some of those cheap red flags to mark the ones you can not lift and then pick em up the loader...crude but cheaper than equipment repair.
I really enjoy the videos you put out? The hard work that comes with dairy farming such as yours inspires myself to keep going, because I know out there in the "wilderness" of farming, there are good families that care about each other and care about their livestock , and things..
Hi Taylor, love how you explain everything you're doing. I truly believe I can drive a tractor now after watching this video. LOL thanks for sharing, 🚜
Thanks for the ride along. The rig you have is very nice. How Many HP more does the IH give you? I hope you get it up and running without too much expense.
Thanks so much for joining us! The International is a about 120 horsepower +- so a bit more than the kubota’s 95. But I think the real advantage is torque the international is 6 cylinder and the kubota only a 4. Thanks for watching!!
Great video, Tay! You handle the mower like an old pro. Nice content. I'm up to go mowing anytime, just let me know, but if everyone shows up, it'll be crowded on the tractor!! 🤠
Taylor, I’m just curious, has Brett ever gone to a Farm Equipment Auction and possibly picked up a Round baler to replace the Vermeer baler, seeing as how much trouble you have been having with the wrapper, he might be able to find a decent baler and either keep the veneer or sell it

That's a scary question when a bunch of people ask you why you cut hay the right way !

Tks for sharing Miss Tay. Glad you had some luck getting the hay down. Hope your weather stays good.
Hi Taylor from South Mississippi. You standing next to the mower makes it look so much better!!

Good morning Taylor. The mowing machine sure does a nice job going through the thick hay that will give you nice bales. Blessings to you.
Great video Tay keep them coming 👍

WNY is same way. Active dairy here. 4 loads of 1st in barn, 5 ruined by rain, nothing for calves yet. Did do 68 4x4 baleage bales few days ago
That is strange! Well hopefully it stops raining for a bit so you can get some hay done, thanks for watching!

You are a hard working smart youn lady KEEP the good work Love your videos
Thank you so much!
When we started a field we would drive as close to the hedge as possible then when you go the other way you can usually get right in close.
Seems to be we are the only ones who do it this way, but works both ways I guess!
@@tayfarms It doesn't really matter as long as it gets done.
Hi Taylor looking great super video you are great advertisements for Kubota tractors great tractor for only 95 hp weather is the same there as here in Ireland 😉

Thankfully Brent has a wrapper so that hay is salvageable. You did a good job in that very tall grass.
I have a New Holland 267 haybine, and I always cut my hay the same way.

" I hate grasshoppers" Hahahaha!
Hi Taylor you did a great job
Make your first round with the mower to the inside. The lowest quality hay is at the edge and you're mashing the better hay flat with the tractor.

given that he early settlers made stone walls to get rid of em and that frost pushes up a few every year, how do you pick em up?
