I'm trying the Carnivore Diet and it's still an uphill battle for me after being pretty strict for about a week. I am sure most of my weight loss on this plan is from cutting out sugars and has nothing to do with eating just meat. I'm mostly eating pork chops, chicken and steaks with eggs too. A couple foods I don't hear mentioned about on this diet and I'm wondering if they are acceptable to implement are turkey and ham. What are your thoughts on these?
@@timcervinsky Pretty much all animal products are good to go aside from the stuff with sugars, like milk. Salmon and beef (to include similar red meats) both provide a full essential nutrient profile. Dig deeper into this way of eating, there are awesome tips and nuggets of information out there. A tip I'm going to try is using coarse salt on my London broil (any tough cut works) to tenderize it. The rule of thumb is to cover the meat in the salt for an hour per inch of length. Google the different cuts you are using and you'll see the fat to protein ratios differ quite a bit. A 2 lb London broil is roughly 200+ g of protein and around 1700 calories on it's own.
I’ve been on carnivore 3 weeks now, I’m a disabled veteran, I’ve had spine fusion L2-S1, both knees are due to be replaced soon. I’ve lost about 10lbs, bloating is gone and I feel amazing. Inflammation in my back and knees are getting better. Thanks for the tips and motivation brother.
Mike W., did you mean to say L5-S1? I used to be an x-ray tech and never heard of a L2-S1 fusion, L2 and S1 are not adjacent to one another. Just curious. ( your mind goes to these places when you're retired, like me)
On day 2 of the Carnivore diet. I'm a 51 year old woman who has been dealing with hypothyroidism for over 20 years. I quit alcohol 2.5 years ago, quit caffeine q.5 years ago all to help my thyroid. I am just tired of eating and feeling so crappy. My reflexolgist recommended me trying this and I'm so thankful he did. I'm so excited to see the changes.
Hi!, just sharing the experience of my wife, she's suffering diabetes & with hypertension for 5 yrs.,but when she tried this carnivore diet, the effect was really amazing!, her Dr. told her to stop already her medication...
I'm at day 30 and feeling pretty great. Down 20lbs. Sleep has improved tremendously and the wife says I haven't been snoring either. We'll see what another 30 days will do. Can't see going back to carbs. Keep up the good work Mark
What's your workout routine man. Help a brother out lol I can't afford the gym so I just do cardio and lift on my bench set at home. Usually about 2 hours per day 1 for cardio and 1 for lifting
Carnivore for nearly a year. 5'8 and went from 220lb to 179lb as of this morning. At 45 I had a long time to mess up my fat set point so my progress is slow. Still have fat to lose but it's slow and steady. Around 20% body fat right now. Roughly 30-35% protein by calories has really helped my body use it's own fat as fuel. Recovery time is insane good. No pains in any joints. No more headaches - I used to get at least 2 a week and they were make you curl up severe. Clear skin. I tell you, I never get tired of steak. No sweet cravings. But I crave that steak. I can get tired of hamburger and fish fairly quickly. Pork, besides bacon sometimes, just doesn't make me feel the best. I used to love pork chops. Now while eating one I can feel the want for a nice steak. Once a week I'll have cheese if I feel I need a calorie boost. 2 meals a day is where I naturally sit at. Sometimes just one. I used to always, always be hungry. Belly full of food and still was hungry. Now, 1 maybe 2 pounds of steak and I'm good for at least 12 hours with absolutely no desire to eat. Meat, salt, water, a little liver, maybe some cheese. That's it. About to hit leg day, then a nice NY Strip, then a 2 hour hike and I'll still have plenty of energy for the day. Love this way of eating. The first 3 weeks. Those poops. All good now but in the beginning... never trust a poot. It might wind up in your boot. Glad that's over. Be ready!
Same age and weight and could lose 30lbs off the middle. Right now I do 2 full body workouts a week with 3 days recovery but might need more just to stay strict. I work an tech job from 7am to 3pm. If your eating twice a week are you eating breakfast and late lunch or skipping breakfast and just lunch and dinner? Do you take anything for fuel before your workouts? No whey protein shakes anymore since they have carbs?
Started this today. First meal at 12:30pm, 4 bacon strips with 5 eggs scrambled, no cheese etc. Not hungry at all until 6:30pm, ate 2 rotisserie chicken drumsticks and was satisfied. NO SUGAR CRAVINGS ALL DAY. Which is so crazy to me since I am a sugar and bread-aholic. I'm soooo excited to see results for tiredness, regulating digestion and getting rid of stress eating and brain fog...but seriously anticipating WEIGHT-LOSS. 6/27/22 Starting weight: 218lbs, woman, age 50 Height: 5' 7" 7/27/22 4 weeks results Weight: 8/27/22 8 weeks results Weight:
Ya here for update want to try it out I'm 6'3 280 I work out a lot but I'm unable to lose weight ( even have gained) because of my diet. I need to change things up hopefully this works
I started 5 days ago and it’s very difficult for me because I am a truck driver over the road, I have a fridge and a air fry , I’m doing one meal a day . Feeling very well and those videos help a lot to keep on track
I did 30 days and lost 20lbs and was feeling great once the shitz ended. Then COVID happened and digression occurred. I’m ready to do it again. Loved the energy, clear mind, lack of constant hunger, and lack of bloating. Thank you Mark for what you do. 💪🏼✌🏼
I totally agree on the not counting calories When I started Carnivore, I thought it would be like any other diet, but it wasn't for me at all. Very quickly, you will start to eat less, you just won't feel like you need it. Within a couple weeks I was down to 2 meals a day, and a short period after that I was doing OMAD. There was no effort on my part, it just naturally happened that way. You eat when you're hungry, and you eat until you are full. Listen to your body
The carnivore diet is the only thing that gets rid of my chronic daily headaches and migraines so thank god I found it! I’m 52, in peri menopause and I also lost 20 pounds on this diet and I cycle most days. I look and feel better than I did at 40, no lie! I love me some ribeye but I eat a lot of pork shoulder roast, chicken thighs and breasts, chuck steak, pork chops, etc. I can’t eat eggs as they trigger my migraines and I even have to watch what spices and seasonings I use. It’s meat, salt, pepper and some herbs. No sauces of any kind. If any migraine sufferers out there wanna chat, hit me up!
Best cut of steak you didn't mention is Chuck Eye (Chuck Steak). It is fatty like Rib-eye, but much cheaper. I found some recently for $5/lb, not even on sale/special. You can probably find it cheaper depending on your region. They usually sell big slab of it as a pot roast too, in which case it may be cheaper to get those and slice your own steaks. Or just actually make pot roast it's awesome.
I had to add a hand full of veggies a day to fight off my cravings. I also drink 2-3 bottles of propel a day. I have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks. Joint pains gone. My body looks trim and buff. I enjoy it a lot and I recommend it to everyone.
Thanks for the vid! I’ve done Carnivore in the past and fell off the wagon but my 2022 new year resolution is back on. So far day 9 I’ve lost 7lbs. With no exercise or weight training. I’ll start that Feb 1st. So far I’m satiated throughout the day. Lots more energy, no bloating, no brain fog/haze, better sleep, deeper sleep. No longer drained by EOB and could stay up longer than normal but rest is a must. I add veggies everyone and then for the sake of meat monatany I tend to get on my pallet. Butttt, reaping the benefits of 90% carn. I’m plan on being 100%. Today, breakfast 4 scrambled eggs side of clean beef jerky thinly sliced. Lunch 90g of seared chicken liver in butter. Dinner is seared/baked beef Picanha.
It must be hard to be on the carnivore diet when you go to a restaurant. Every meal seems to have carbs. And you probably have to have family that supports you and doesn't ridicule you
@@gregpettis1113 yes, it can be difficult. Plus I’m Catholic and avoid meat on Friday’s during Lent. In these times I’ll have some sort of fish product. I’ve had veggies too just try my best to get back right the next day.
I like the down to earth way you present your information. I really want to try this and I'm desperate for it to work in my favor. Having someone explain it calmly and without the hype is invaluable. Thanks 👍👍👍
GREAT STUFF! Pork belly is a VERY high calorie (from fat) food that’s inexpensive which helped me tremendously with cravings. Also, slam a glass of water as soon as you feel that craving and eat a teaspoon of ghee and you’ll crush that craving.
I've been on Carnivore since last May. I was 220, now I'm 147. I go to the gym daily. I feel better emotionally and physically. I feel the same way after a meal as I did before the meal. There's no more rollercoaster with food intake. No sugar dropoffs. 140 is the lowest I've ever been as I'm only 5'6. I'm quickly approaching the best shape I've ever been in since 2014. My doctor put me on Lipitor for cholesterol, but doesn't seem to have a problem with my Carnivore diet. He said as long as I'm on a Statin it doesn't really matter what I eat. Either way, I feel better and have seen great results from Carnivore Diet combined with Fasting.
I'd be careful with statins as they cause a number of other issues. I've been on the carnivore diet for a year and a half now and had the same check-up with my doctor telling me I need to go on lipitor because my cholesterol and LDL is too high...this is based off of a standard American diet. We are going to have much higher levels due to the fact all meat has high amounts of cholesterol in it and fat. Cholesterol along with fats do not cause heart issues. Being overweight is the biggest cause of heart issues. High amounts of carbs are what cause the hard deposits in your blood. There is a lot of info out there on this subject, and I'm only telling you what I have researched... Just be careful with prescriptions...after 3 months on this diet, I got off of anti-anxiety meds, muscle relaxers (constant inflammation in my neck), and my normally high blood pressure is much lower. That part is anecdotal but the research on cholesterol and effects on a carnivore diet is pretty amazing.
I guess im doing it . I have made a few mistakes. but its been 10 days. I came from keto im down 130 lbs in 16 months and hit a wall. I am down to 312 from the highest of 570. and have lost like 3 pounds on this. Looking forward to seeing results. I have found it easier to take IF window down to 4 hours of eating time.
That's amazing. If you read "Obesity Code" by Jason Fung, he explains that your weight is determined by insulin, which your body releases every time you eat. But less so if you avoid refined carbs. That's why keto/carnivore are so effective at weight loss. You reduce insulin spikes. To take it to the next level, use keto/carnivore + IF. Eating once a day is a great routine. The fewer times you eat in a day, the fewer times your body releases insulin. Excess sugars cause insulin resistance in the liver. Excess refined carbs cause insulin resistance as well. This raises your fasting insulin and insulin curves during meals, making it harder for your body to burn fat. With IF and low carb, you will lose more and more weight. Exercise is virtually useless to lose weight though is important for health. If you hit a plateau, maybe give prolonged fasting (7+ days water fast) a try.
I am on week number 3 and I do feel a lot better. My vascularity is insane, compared to 3 weeks ago. I never experienced the explosive diarrhea phase that I have heard about, but I am not complaining.
I'm 66 years old and started the carnivore diet three days ago. My reason for starting is because I am a type II diabetic. I have not been able to maintain a normal blood sugar. Doctors want to give more medicine. The medicine is now over $500 per month. I've had enough! My first three days my blood sugar was 124, 107, and 119. I've never seen those numbers on medication.
I'm an 18 year old girl. I've had psoriasis all my life, and recently I've developed psoriatic arthritis in a few of my fingers and knees. I've been doing (truly) gluten free since I was 14 and that does help inflammation but by far does not cure anything. I am a bit overweight and sometimes get really down because I've tried EVERY type of diet and medication/topical to help my massive inflammation and assumed leaky gut. I do weight lifting but never feel like I get anywhere because of my diet (more of a lack of understanding about nutrition). I'm trying out the carnivore diet because of all the positive results I've heard from so many folks! Luckily, my parents are very supportive and are NOT afraid of meat. This is the summer that I don't wake up with aching joints, inflamed skin and horrible outlook on my future. I am very excited! Thank you for this video!
I had bariatric surgery in 2014; gained back 50 of the 150 I lost. Was looking to go back on Atkins and happend to notice eat meat drink water - life changing. I love meat, so great for me!!
The first thing I noticed within just a couple days was my bloating issue was all but gone. Also, joint inflammation and inflammation in general were greatly decreased. I'm about 9 days in and if I had one complaint it would be the craving I have when I see fruit like grapes or oranges. That craving usually comes when I am hungry and easily suppressed once I eat. Meat is very satiating so you're not left feeling hungry. I guess another would be a small degree of fatigue that seems to be associated with it. However, my workouts are fantastic and I just have a better general sense of well being.
5 days into the canivore diet and I'm 8lbs down. Other benefits that "could" be linked is sleeping better, feeling stronger, anxiety is down, increased libido, and joints feel better. Downfall is diarrhea at least once a day. My stomach doesnt hurt or anything just liquid stools in the AM. Food list: ribeyes, ny strips, kerry gold butter, whole eggs.
I’ve been on carnivore for three weeks and I never had any of the gut nightmares I’ve heard so much about. The coolest thing so far, is my complete lack of compulsive snacking. Once I’m full, I have no interest in eating anything for 12-18 hours. I’ve always been a grazer and a snacker. Not a binger. The first 10 days the cravings for sweets and carbs (especially pasta) was immense. Then like magic they stopped. Intermittent fasting is just a natural byproduct of the carnivore life style. At least is has been for me. I’ll never give up my toxic coffee however. We all need a vise.
Mark Smelly Bell 30 years of touring, boozing and dragging had left me pre diabetic, 50 lbs over weight and in over all bad health. Started the Wim Hoff method two years ago. It had profound results. Gave me the strength to quit a 20 year opioid addiction, then moved in to intermittent fasting. Compounded the effects and dropped 20 lbs. the Rona HIV destroyed our touring for 2020 and the stress sent me back to boozing. Became type 2 D agin. So a few weeks ago I had enough and went carnivore and my blood sugar is completely back to normal and the weight it pouring off and I’m getting stronger everyday. My main goal is to be healthy, happy and strong. To turn back as much of the damage as I can and be touring, making records and loving my wife far into my 80’s. I got to old to die young, so I got to create a new paradigm. Thank you for helping people like myself to find a better way to thrive. 🙏🤝
Jackson thank you for sharing your story with us. Im happy to hear you found a diet that works for you and you have the mindset to strive forward. You have a lot to give to this world so keep getting better for yourself.
Am on day 4 of the carnivore diet. Feel great. Have good energy and my stomach is flatter. At first I was worried about having Keto flu but I didn’t get any symptoms of it. The only thing is I barely poop lol. But I don’t feel bloated at all, stomach’s flat. My diet consists of eggs, bacon, salmon, and steak. Gonna go get more meats (lamb, more steak, ground beef) tho later in the week. Am excited to see where this goes in the coming month. *Update* just took a shit lol
I've tried this diet for 2 weeks and lost 8 pounds. With cheat day's once a week trying to get the hang of it. Eating 2 times a day is plenty for me i felt leaner within 2-3 day's not as bloated as i did eating all those carbs. From the beginning i was going to try it out for a month but per your recommendation i'm going to try it out för 8 weeks. Keep up the good work Ps my go to is ground beef since it's cheaper :O
170lbs lost since January on Carnivore for me and over 80lbs for my wife! she's off Insulin and blood pressure medication! Blood work has came back better than ever!
Not on the diet but I love watching these videos. Being a distance runner I'm still doing some research before I even think about attempting this. ***One more cheap cut of steak to add is a Chuck eye*** It's the cut that's in between a chuck roast and a rib eye and is amazing. Has the fat content of a rib eye, but it is really cheap if you can find them. Keep putting out solid content!!!
I did 17 days of carnivore recently. I am 5'9". Went from 190 pounds to 175 pounds. Felt great. I found this diet easier to follow than South Beach Phase 1 or Slow Carb. Mark, just found your channel. You are a winsome guy. Thanks for putting out great content.
I’m about to start. I have great aspirations. I had great results eating very low carb in the past. I’m going to try this with hopes of improving sense of well being…
I have been doing carnivore diet for almost 3 months. I’ve lost about 25 lbs. Considering what I’ve given up I truly was hoping for more weight loss. I’m 73 so I haven’t really felt energized but I feel good. I had a blood draw and was disappointed with those results also. Hi sugar and cholesterol. Those reading were about 1 months ago. I’m going to hang on because I really need to lose weight. I’m about 277 right now but it seems to fluctuate. My lowest weight was 273.
I probably have Gilbert's Syndrome (high bilirubin levels), tho I need to get tested to know for sure. But my doctor suspects I do have because every time I get blood work done, only my bilirubin is up. It's nothing dangerous, in fact, in might be beneficial. The problem is that fasting and starving causes the bilirubin to spike, HOWEVER, paleo-keto diet seems to decrease the levels, or bring them to normal. I will get tested, and I will probably jump on the carnivore/paleo/keto diet. Carbs are probably my enemy.
@@MisterCovek fasting is never the actual cause of any problems. Its usually withdrawal symptoms and detox from poor lifestyle choices. Keto paleo and carnivore are generally popular because they replicate some of the metabolic processes of fasting without needing the discipline.
@Seeing Through vegan gains? Ain’t that the guy who made fun of a dead child (cancer) to gain a little bit of clout in one of his nonsensical rants which didn’t actually provide any clear irrefutable facts for what he was spouting
@Seeing Through the only way i could ever take some one like vegan gains seriously is if him and say someone such as Paul Saladino had a debate against each other. Both providing there evidence (studies, journals ancedotes) for each point they make. I think it’s pretty clear who would come out on top of that debate.
@Seeing Through gossip such as? Your just making stuff up now, nice one going off in a tangent though instead of explaining “well it would seem obvious but nobody wins in that matter” really dude. Two people in said debate were one is doctor who’s job is to analyse and create said literature studies ect and the other guy half the time says his ‘opinions’ on the subject and the rest of time spends it verbally attacking people all in effort just to stay relevent and build his brand, like i said obvious who would win that debate
Настя Мороз it’s hard at first. If you don’t have the junk or carb foods at home it makes it easy. I went and bought a lot of little chicken wings and ordered a load of grass fed beef. After the first week I didn’t have acid reflux or stomach problems. My skin cleared up. It’s all worth it. Just get rid of the bad foods.
Great video! I have started my carnivore diet last week. I am super excited and very scared and nervous Long story short.... I am a body builder/powerlifter and currently 6'1" and 230lbs and fairly lean. If I didn't eat like a cow and train like a beast I would shrivel down to 190/180lbs. Currently 41 years old. My biggest fear is losing muscle and or getting weaker. I am planning on eating about 2.5 pounds a day. My biggest fear is going backwards. Not sure what I am asking lol but looking for any advice and what to watch for. I know I will loss a bit of unnecessary fat but ultimately want to replace it with solid muscle. I hear some people get weaker and I want to fight that from happening. So far in one week ive gone down 5 pounds which i suspect is garbage leaving my body. Thank you for what you do and your time
I have been keto for a long time. Hyperinsulinemia, PCOS, metabolic syndrome, hypertension. Over the years I’ve lost about 135 pounds. But my weight loss has slowed to 1-2 pounds per month. Started carnivore a week ago. Within three days I lost my appetite entirely. I lost 2.6 pounds this week. It was probably a little easier for me because I was already keto. I was vegetarian for about 25 years. I’ve been eating meat again for about 5 years but I still struggle with variety because I have an aversion to a lot of meats. Chicken and turkey gross me out. Thanks for your advice in this video!
Eat meat and stop snacking. What I've found by going carnivore is that I dont snack because I'd have to cook it and most of the time, it's just not worth it. Good luck
3 days in and feel great, best I’ve felt in 10 years. No depression just focus and clarity. Bring on the end of the world where we all hunt each other for food, vegetarians I will eat you !!! Muhahahahahahh
Thanks Mark, very helpful, been doing keto for about 3 years now. Once we get past COVID and the stores have the usual again, my wife and I are gonna give carnivore a try, and yes, I agree that should last about 8 weeks.
I did keto first and really benefited. I'm still dealing with migraine triggers and so I'm moving onto carnivore. I already lost 18 pounds on keto so I really can't lose more than about five pounds maximum so I'm eating really fatty meat and butter. Yum! I love eating this way...my gas and bloating are gone and most of my Joint pain is gone. Love it! I definitely recommend taking electrolytes and minerals like magnesium, potassium and salt when transitioning onto low or no carb as the initial fatigue is no joke. Dr Ken Berry is a great resource.
I'm allergic to a lot of the plants "veggies", and it absolutely IS a thing. Eliminating them while doing the carnivore diet saved me, cured my autoimmune issues and fixed my gut! I wish more people would test, and give carnivore a shot to see how it can affect them in healing.....it's all good...
This guy talks sense. I love experimenting with strict regimes. Not diets...regimes. I find the structure and discipline helps with my mental health. Keto was incredible. Made intermittent fasting so easy. Even threw in a 4 day fast. Felt empowered and in control. Now I'm working out 5 times a week eating "well" but not keto. May try the carnivore regime soon as well. Discipline, understanding nutrition and being open minded is life changing. I used to mock things like this before trying to understand more about it. Meanwhile I'd eat candy and junk food all day long. Crazy when you think about it.
Just a note to people that are interested just because you eat steak and eggs does not mean you won't gain weight because you must be in a calorie deficit to lose weight even if you eat steak and eggs play Jade. However if you going to bulk bulking on steak and eggs is probably much better than bulking on McDonald's and pizza
There are many ways through alternative medicines. For pain CBD (check certificate if urinalysis, needs to be made from hemp, broad spectrum), magnesium, kava kava, ect. Oh also go to your doctor get on BC (birth control pill) and ask to have your period only once or twice a year. This is what I did while as Administrative Officer and the military as a single mother. I did not have time to be sick for 7-9 days every month. BS. Research the Oracle (google, UA-cam, ect). In my day, over sixty, our female pain was all in my head. Yeah I do not believe men...
On day 8 now. Didn't get the poop problem thankfully but I did see a massive drop in energy levels. Almost quit on day 3 because I got depressed and angry mood swing. Stuck with it and bounced back on day 5. Mood has been great since and belly has shrunk noticeably. Carbs are addictive and soooo hard to resist but its getting easier. Planned on doing 2 weeks but may push it to 30 days. Thx for the vid 👍🏼
It's weird I didn't think I'd notice any crazy benefits but I feel amazing. I seriously feel like a new person. Hopefully this continues to help me and who knows maybe it cures my autoimmune issues.

Hello Guys! I started the carnivore diet about 2 weeks ago. I'm a healthy 65 yr old with some sciatic pain in my right hip/leg and otherwise very fortunate. (no meds) BTW my pain levels have dropped since starting carnivore! Can't wait to see what 90 days feels like! Did KETO for two and a half years and dropped from 205 to 155. Now I eat ribeye, homemade bone broth with chicken feet (collagen infused) I do coffee with heavy cream, bacon and eggs, liverwurst, and my butcher made me a ground beef, liver, heart (all beef) mix and I have one of those burgers almost daily. I also eat a small can of sardines regularly as well. I feel amazing!

My shopping list for the carnivore diet has pretty much been the essentials. Red meat, chicken, fish, liver and bone marrow. The weekends were the hardest change in diet for me ... Where do I find a snack to replace chips and soda? Well, the solution was simple. Beef jerky and bone broth. It's nowhere near as tasty as chips and soda. But that's how you know it's good for you.

Every experiment on calorie counting shows that if you overeat calories, your body just burns extra energy by increasing body temp, heart rate, brain activity, and such. If you eat fewer calories, it lowers your body temp, heart rate, etc. This is why calorie counting is basically completely useless. Every time you eat, your body releases insulin which tells your body to stop burning fat. After not eating for awhile (fasting) your body starts burning fat again. This is why how often you eat matters more than how much you eat. Insulin determines set point.
2 weeks in. I still eat pineapples. Really only drink water. Lean beef most of the time, ground beef and bison as well. Eggs of course. Feel great. Little to no craving....clear minded. Would recommend. Diet is more flexible than it sounds
I started this yesterday, I ate 250g of minced pork, 50g pork chop, an egg and about 70g of cheese. I was full and didn't want anything else. I'm about 77 kilos at 5ft 5 so yes, overweight. Normally, when I'm doing like a vegan diet or something I can''t last more than a day or two without craving absolutely everything going. Of course, I fail the diet and give up.
Check out oxalates, lectins... and I believe there is another I'm forgetting. The plant toxin chatter is legitimate but there's more to it than just avoidance. Look for plants that are low in these toxins (aka plant chemicals) as well as ways to prepare certain veggies to reduce them. You want to keep your hormesis going in my opinion, which is why I certainly advocate some veg for anyone without chronic health issues.
Thanks ! But ima be honest it was challenging for me to maintain the first day I did some research and found a lot of versions of the diet and kinda mislead me but I think I’m on the right track now just have to find specific recipes to follow 💪🏼
@@frankiimendoza7392 it's simple. No recipes needed. Start with basics. Eat meat, like seafood, chicken, pork, beef, liver, eggs, dairy is optional (cheese, heavy cream). NO carbs, no sugar, drink lots of water. You can get creative down the road, but keep it very simple. All the best to you, you can do this. 💪
@@marksmellybell448 Thanks for asking: not constantly hungry anymore...that´s a first. 7 days without bowel movement...that´s a first too. Generally I have more constant energy throughout the day, but sometimes I feel down/tired and rest (day 12 today). Stomach has to get accustomed to the fat. Sometimes a little nauseous. My gallbladder was removed 12 years ago; so it will take longer adaptation, or so I think. Any advice on the nauseousness would be greatly appreciated (male, 54 years).
I’m not a strict carnivore but my diet is definitely a high meat diet and after almost two weeks or eating this way, my shitty knees are feeling way better and I don’t find the need to crack or pop them in the morning anymore. I don’t know if it’s because I’m giving my body a lot of protein to help recover, if it’s the elimination of a lot of bullshit sugary snacks, or maybe they both play together but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my knees have started to feel way better. I think this diet can really improve peoples health to an entire new level.
If you are trying the Carnivore Diet let me know in the comment below. If you have questions I can help you with drop them right here too
I never had diarrhea from too much meat. Only constipation. I never even heard anyone aside from you and Joe Rogan that they get diarrhea from meat.
Mark what's the best way to combat the diarrhea. I've heard Bone broth might help?
I'm trying the Carnivore Diet and it's still an uphill battle for me after being pretty strict for about a week. I am sure most of my weight loss on this plan is from cutting out sugars and has nothing to do with eating just meat. I'm mostly eating pork chops, chicken and steaks with eggs too. A couple foods I don't hear mentioned about on this diet and I'm wondering if they are acceptable to implement are turkey and ham. What are your thoughts on these?
Mark Smelly Bell I’m doing it 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿
@@timcervinsky Pretty much all animal products are good to go aside from the stuff with sugars, like milk.
( your mind goes to these places when you're retired, like me)
Rich L2-S1 fusion in October 2017. I’ve got the 10” scars anterior and posterior to go along with the xrays of the hardware.
Thank You for your service. 🇺🇸
L2 to L3 to L4 to L5 to S1 is what he is saying I think.
Hi Mike you can listen some morphic tune from Sapien Med youtube channel along with your diet .
Been watching you for years, you’ve mastered the art of speaking. You make things easy to understand while being very informative
been watching you for years, i mean, years is a long time, i went to school for years, years are longer than days

I went back to carbs for 3 days and feel like shit
Hey are u still on it. Im nervous about developing heart issue because of this diet or kidney stones
@Adam Towns $10 a week? I use crunch fitness $10 a month
If you drop 20lbs in 30 days you were a little fatty weren't you??
I'm soooo excited to see results for tiredness, regulating digestion and getting rid of stress eating and brain fog...but seriously anticipating WEIGHT-LOSS.

imma just comment for update
Ya here for update want to try it out I'm 6'3 280 I work out a lot but I'm unable to lose weight ( even have gained) because of my diet. I need to change things up hopefully this works
I started 5 days ago and it’s very difficult for me because I am a truck driver over the road, I have a fridge and a air fry , I’m doing one meal a day . Feeling very well and those videos help a lot to keep on track
Stay motivated! It's a psychological game - your brain and your two hands control what you consume. Update?
I did 30 days and lost 20lbs and was feeling great once the shitz ended. Then COVID happened and digression occurred. I’m ready to do it again. Loved the energy, clear mind, lack of constant hunger, and lack of bloating. Thank you Mark for what you do. 💪🏼✌🏼
Get back to it. Everything should be back to normal soon.
Mark Smelly Bell I started yesterday on my own 100 days at 285#. Thank you for the information and inspiration.
How many days or weeks did the shitz last?
I totally agree on the not counting calories
When I started Carnivore, I thought it would be like any other diet, but it wasn't for me at all.
Thank you for watching
Did you always get headaches growing up or did it just pop up out of nowhere?
Best cut of steak you didn't mention is Chuck Eye (Chuck Steak). It is fatty like Rib-eye, but much cheaper. I found some recently for $5/lb, not even on sale/special. You can probably find it cheaper depending on your region. They usually sell big slab of it as a pot roast too, in which case it may be cheaper to get those and slice your own steaks. Or just actually make pot roast it's awesome.
Blade roasts are the best!
Don’t tell anyone! They will become popular and the cost will rise.
I’m starting this on June 4th, my 55th birthday.
Thanks 👍👍👍
Thank you. I have more Carnivore videos on UA-cam than anyone else. If you have questions I may have already answered it on one of my videos.
Bryan Simon taking bjj 3 times a week
Awesome!

You will love it. I have a new Carnivore Diet video premiering tomorrow. Make sure to check it out.
I am on week number 3 and I do feel a lot better. My vascularity is insane, compared to 3 weeks ago. I never experienced the explosive diarrhea phase that I have heard about, but I am not complaining.
Me either man. It was a smooth transition.
First 7 days down, and the changes so far are pretty incredible!
Hang in there Abby. You can do it. And your character and worthiness is not defined by your physical appearance. God bless you.
I had bariatric surgery in 2014; gained back 50 of the 150 I lost. Was looking to go back on Atkins and happend to notice eat meat drink water - life changing. I love meat, so great for me!!
You got this!
Great info. And I absolutely love your kitchen.
Keep at it
Depression and anxiety will go away if you keep this diet
Kerr Gold Butter is awesome! It’s 100% grass fed. Will never buy a different butter again.
Rick Sanchez I’m no fan of milk hut butter is ok I believe
Jackson Taylor wow sounds like you are doing great. Some really great lifestyle changes. What is your goal with the diet?

Did you had carbs on your cheat days?
170lbs lost since January on Carnivore for me and over 80lbs for my wife! she's off Insulin and blood pressure medication! Blood work has came back better than ever!
Not on the diet but I love watching these videos. Being a distance runner I'm still doing some research before I even think about attempting this.
***One more cheap cut of steak to add is a Chuck eye*** It's the cut that's in between a chuck roast and a rib eye and is amazing. Has the fat content of a rib eye, but it is really cheap if you can find them. Keep putting out solid content!!!

I feel like doing prolonged fasting really preps your stomach for carnivore.
I agree
What do you mean with prolonged fastin?
@@TonyMontana-lj9mq when you go multiple days without eating. Because it strengthens the stomach lining.

@Seeing Through source?
Lots of good advise. Been researching this “diet” the last few days. I’m starting on Monday. I want your arms!
I've got all the information you need on my channel. Thanks for watching.
Adam Johnson How is it going?

Настя Мороз it’s hard at first. If you don’t have the junk or carb foods at home it makes it easy. I went and bought a lot of little chicken wings and ordered a load of grass fed beef. After the first week I didn’t have acid reflux or stomach problems. My skin cleared up. It’s all worth it. Just get rid of the bad foods.
Great video!
I have started my carnivore diet last week. I am super excited and very scared and nervous
Long story short....
Thank you for what you do and your time
Just started, doing it to see if it'll help me out with my psorisis. I hear that it does wonders, hope it works for me too.
Perfect mix of information and entertainment. Thanks for the vid bro. Just started the carnivore diet today
Thank you. Appreciate it. You will love the diet.
Two weeks in and my skin as gotten much clearer on my back and digestion is much calmer. Like it so far
I'm 52 and weigh 450 lbs. I work 10 hour days 6 days of week. I need a plan man.
Thanks, I really need to try it to for mental well-being
Hahaha!!! I’m picking off those free range grass fed liberals so I can stay lean and mean during the apocalypse 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Mark, very helpful, been doing keto for about 3 years now. Once we get past COVID and the stores have the usual again, my wife and I are gonna give carnivore a try, and yes, I agree that should last about 8 weeks.
Sounds great!
its my first day on the diet, cant wait.
I must be allergic to veggies too because I tried it with no meat 60 days and felt like crap the whole time. Now trying carnivore to heal my gut 😫
Day 7 for me thanks to you Mark Bell 👍👍👍, ive found i dont have snack cravings anymore.
Nice
Just a note to people that are interested just because you eat steak and eggs does not mean you won't gain weight because you must be in a calorie deficit to lose weight even if you eat steak and eggs play Jade. However if you going to bulk bulking on steak and eggs is probably much better than bulking on McDonald's and pizza
I'm on second month of carnivore. I'm having my period and not in my usual fetal position from period cramps.
I start Carnivore today. Lost 135 lbs with Ketoin a year. Time to turn up. I want 9% body fat.
Thanks for watching. I have a new Carnivore Diet video premiering tomorrow. Make sure to check it out. Tons of great info coming.
A great video , especially for the ones who want to try the carnivore way of eating ! You explained everything so good 😊
Thank you
Ive been on the carnivore diet for 3 days now and my right arm grew back !!
Very simple in your delivery much-needed.
U make a fan out of me
Thank you so much 😀
It's weird I didn't think I'd notice any crazy benefits but I feel amazing. I seriously feel like a new person. Hopefully this continues to help me and who knows maybe it cures my autoimmune issues.
How long you been on the diet?
@@marksmellybell448 Only 10 days but I already notice my IBS symptoms gone, my mood is better, steady energy, and a lot more. Thanks for bringing awareness to this.
Currently on day 2 of the carnivore diet. Started off with mainly eggs and bacon since thats all we had in the house ready to go at least until the next grocery run. Hoping it goes well!!
March Meatness! Who’s with me?!!
Love that
Mark Smelly Bell thanks Mark, any tips on how to handle the explosive bowl movements to come? I’m starting carnivore again on the 1st, tried it last year but could not get passed the absolutely inhibiting liquid guts. Kinda nervous going into it again...any tips would be greatly appreciated, I’m new to your channel new sub!
@@IDrop76 i think mark lobliner ate brocolii with it, of course you can tough it out for a few weeks like joe rogan did. it will eventually stop. i dont have diarhea but i do take kratom so theres that. my poops still come out pretty solid and pleasurable.
@@IDrop76 buy potassium chloride and mag sulfate. Drink snake juice (electrolyte mix of salts) this will prevent the explosive bowels. Don't drink too much though
FUCK YEAH 🥓🍗 💪
been doing it off and on for a couple years. finally settled on more of a sapien diet, or hypercarnivore keto. I still eat a little veggies on and to wrap my sandwiches, etc. not afraid of low/zero carb clean condiments like what primal kitchen makes, etc. primal makes a ketchup also, i think 1g carbs per serving.
Hey mark I'm on day 8 and I love ur videos. I am feeling good and I'm down 4 pounds and I have dropped at least an inch of my stomach.
That’s awesome to hear. What is your goal?
@@marksmellybell448 well I was always 150-155 and when my son was born I stopped working out and I got to 197. But I started this diet at 193.6. My goal is to do this until my 30th b day which is april 23rd. I'm working out at home and doing long walks with a weighted vest. I'm only 5 foot 6 also so being 193 pounds was to much. I miss my abs and just feeling confident. Do u have any advice ?
Thanks for the videos, trying this diet out to see if it helps with my pancolitis at all; I keep running into your videos and they are great. Quick tips, simple format, great explanation and completely relatable. Thank you !
Im 52 years old with crohn disease and im underweight. Im gonna try this.
Well, day 10 on the carnivore, I'm down 8 pounds and I feel super awesome. No more misery after eating, no bloating, and my energy is through the roof. Workouts feel much more productive.
Keep it going. What is your goal with the diet?
@@marksmellybell448 Mark, I'd call it more of a life style change that a diet. As a 52 year old man and retired law enforcement officer, I'm in substantially better shape than most 20 year old guys; however, my main goal is to feel better and to hopefully continue to main good health. I would also like to become a little more lean and add some additional muscle in the process. I truly appreciate your views and keep getting after it. KMO
No dairy for me doing C, skin cleared, weight changed, doing OMAD day 2. No tea, coffee, milk.
I'm 3 days in and poop is a bit loose, but not firing out just yet.
I have been eatting:
Steak
Chicken with skins.
Bacon
Chedor cheese
Pork ribs
Pork loins
Pork steaks
Whole eggs
And all cooked in butter or goose fat.
Plenty of salt and pepper.
No carbs, fibre carbs.
Oh yes, I drink water all day with a strong black coffee every 4 to 5 hrs. I like coffee. It actually helps me sleep. Yea.
Thanks for sharing your balanced thoughts and info 👍🏾
Of course. Thank you for watching Jenny.
Today’s my first day on a carnivore diet. I’m excited and anxious at the same time.
You got this! What is your goal with the diet?
Al good.. Can you make a video explaining what to eat and how to prepair the meals.
Female 52 with Fibromyalgia. Which besides chronic pain, has brought with it:
Raynaud’s phenomenon
Vestibular neuritis
Interstitial cystitis
Dyshidrotic eczema

I’m not overweight, but would love to see my little ponch go bye bye.
Day one today.
My coworker said her 70 year old husband feels like he’s 30.
I would love to feel 30 again.
Starting day two on strict carnivore diet. Interested to see how this goes.
How did it go? Starting day 1 today!
@@jameshardy8545 I’m on day 30 this is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life no exaggeration it’s amazing
Thanks for the great advice Mark I am starting my carnivore diet next week and I can't wait!!
That’s awesome. Come back let me know your progress and if you have any questions I can answer. You can do it
@@marksmellybell448 Thanks Mark i will let you know my progress, got lots of weight to shred can't wait to be a full blown carnivore.
Sorry for freaking out at the airport. It was awesome seeing you in real life.
Whats the story? :)
@@bravefastrabbit770 I saw him at the airport and freaked out like a girl at a justin bieber concert and asked him for a picture forgetting I had food in my mouth.
ate once a day 24 hour fast 3 weeks in down 49 pounds!
Wow!
I just started the carnivore diet today. So excited.
You will love it
I am 57, and 6'1" and I have lost some strength and do feel more weak at times on carnivore so far. I have lost about 14-15 lbs in about a month which is excellent! Down from 246 to 232. My question is this: Could I be missing specific nutrients that I could supplement, to enable staying losing weight while trying to still drop weight? I still need to lose another 10-15lbs I think ideally.
On day 22.Havent weighed myself can see some wieghtloss.Feeling different hasn't hit as much with the disease I've been fighting for the last few years but I'm hoping that comes next for what I've been through.Funny the meat at the local grocery I thought was good I cant eat nasty.Been going to big city and local locker. Its hard going to the city wherever you go junk food !I've stuck to it.Thanks
perhaps try prolonged fasting? search for the Snake diet and read up on how the cells react during prolonged fast and how your body goes into repair mode. with the Snake Diet water mix 96 hour fast is easy.
How are you feeling now?
@@n.a.garciafamily well started again been 3weeks.
Just ate 4 KitKat minis, definitely won't recommend after about a year on carnivore. Wonder if I'll ever beat the addiction.
It happens. Don’t beat yourself up just try to do better next time
Your additions will die as your interest in your health grows. But sometimes a Kit Kat is part of your health.
@@marksmellybell448 thanks. I blame the weather on this, we celebrate 'fastelavn' around (kind of like Halloween just in the spring), and almost no kids came by due to the rain, so I ended up with this big bowl of candy on top of the shelf 😀
@@clauschristoffero don't get bitter ... Get better ✌️
What a trip, Jordan Peterson is doing the carnivore diet!!! Thanks for the info Mark
Thanks for watching and commenting
I made the mistake of counting my calories as I was previously doing and it really hurt me doing that. Next time I try I will not be counting my calories.
Starting carnivore diet from tommaro, allready feeling high energy no inflammation lower body fat new poop it’s fantastic
What’s your goal?
Check out oxalates, lectins... and I believe there is another I'm forgetting. The plant toxin chatter is legitimate but there's more to it than just avoidance. Look for plants that are low in these toxins (aka plant chemicals) as well as ways to prepare certain veggies to reduce them. You want to keep your hormesis going in my opinion, which is why I certainly advocate some veg for anyone without chronic health issues.
I can definitely get behind this lifestyle.
I’m actually going to try this diet starting Tomorrow! Very helpful !
If you have any question you know you can come here and ask. Or check out my carnivore playlist.
Doing some research and getting different ideas before I start. Great talk!
I'll be doing an entire series in the coming weeks to help you all on your Carnivore journey
First day and excited about this, Mark!
Day 6 today. No dairy. Feeling great. 10lbs down. 90 more to go.
Hows the diet treating you?
