Yo Alex you don't need to need the click bait titles. I think your fan base has way more respect for your tip videos. As for dropping shots on the course, I would love to see a video of you doing course management. In the future hopefully. I love your vids bro, keep up the good work. I have truly improved because of your tips.

As my left knee was hurting (just had it replaced) I opened up my left foot and just kept missing everything left. Contact was good and consistent, it just became more of an alignment issue or swing path. Love the move and freedom it does allow

Excellent tip Alex on flaring out the front toe! I think for the senior golfer, it's also a good idea to flare out the right toe as well! Both give a player the necessary extra rotation to add distance to their shots! Well Done Alex!!!

I was taught this years ago. From my experience the one thing you have to beware of is making sure your hips and shoulders remain square. I have to “feel” as if my right elbow is “tucked” in and this keeps my shoulders square. I put the words in quotes because these are the feels I have developed for me. Obviously you will feel something else.

I've been doing this for a few years now. I'm 71 and found that rolling over onto my lead foot on the follow through was causing foot pain. So, I simply opened my left foot to relieve the pain and suddenly found that my swing felt free and I seemed to get better contact.

I’ve always used this setup. I’m slew footed. The only difference is I set up square to the target and turn both feet out. This setup is more comfortable for me.

Alex, I play off 9 and the weakest club in my bag is the driver. I generally hit the ball around 275 ish. But I suffer with falling off the shot and stumble onto my back foot. Could this be because my feet are too square at address.

As a 70 year old golfer with a bit of a belly and limited mobility I find it easier to turn if I flare out both feet at address. It allows me to make a better turn in the backswing and a better turn through release.

Great advice for the left foot, but counter to what is good for seniors on the trail foot. Folks, think more like Sam Snead, who had way, way more flexibility than even young people, and he flared his trail foot. Alex is teaching a young man's swing.

I've notice that if I slightly have a open stance , more with my feet than shoulders I hit the ball so much better. Only issue I have is I feel kinda weird doing it, like It's not the proper set up. I will definitely try this out.

Hi Alex I started doing this about 7 months ago not bcos I saw it on a video but bcos I had a left knee replacement last march and with being a right hand golfer it's less painful on my left knee when swinging/turning through my swing. Great video's by the way 👍

I've been flaring the lead foot out for a while, and it's polished up my follow through nicely. I've always been a fader, so I've pulled the trail foot back by a couple of inches. Those two things have made a great difference. Much straighter, and longer, and even a few draws thrown in.

I find it helps me flaring the back foot a little as well
Takes a bit of pressure off my body as I turn and allows more flexibility in my body
I don't flare it as much as my front foot but do not lock my legs in "straight" unless I am putting

thank you for making this video, a little backstory. my knee in my lead leg has 5 knee surgeries and its hard for me to twist up with the "standard" stance. a few months ago i started flaring out my lead leg to take off some pressure on the knee. glad to see flaring out my lead leg is a good thing

Ben Hogan, 5 fundamentals advocated this. Actually to help with a better turn on your takeaway, you can slightly flair out your back foot too- not as much as the front foot, but back from square. Allows you to open that shoulder turn back more- easier on your back. Zalatoris has put this in his game

  • @TitleWaive1
    @TitleWaive1 Місяць тому +1

I've always setup how Ben Hogan taught. Being over 50, I've started turning open right foot to help with back swing turn. Have you seen Rocco Mediate's swing? What I don't get with his swing is the right foot way behind the left.

Alex, your tips make a lot of sense, but there are dozens and dozens of them. How can anyone 'simplify' their swing thoughts when trying to incorporate all these tips on the practice range or golf course? If you had to condense all of your tips into 3-5 for drivers/woods and the same number for irons, what would they be? I love all your vids, but after a while it becomes overwhelming.

I watch a lot of videos, but I don't try everything. It's so easy to confuse your game. I would book some lessons, to get an idea of what you need to work on, and then focus there. You can filter through videos, and it makes it relatively easy to filter through, and work out which ones are relevant. There are some great vids about, plenty by Alex, but try them all, and you won't get anywhere.

If you watch him lose his balance after a swing for his tee shot on the third hole of his second round at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this year, you'll see that he will not have a long career, he's going to have major ankle problems in the future. Not to mention he has zero personality.
