Daylight savings time is here! This is a 2007 Honda CR-V. The Auto clock adjustment for this year doesn't work, because they changed when Daylight Savings time occurs after this model year. Here is a quick how to video on manually setting your clock.
** HONDA IS AWARE OF A PROBLEM AFTER 2022: They say they are working on a fix, but if not it should correct itself in a few months... if you care to wait that long.

This was more helpful than the manual. Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for the nice comment.
That's great dude, what about the date how do we adjust?
I'm having the same problem with my 2009 Honda CRV EXL. Date shows Jan 1, 2002 Time 2:00 every time I start the vehicle. At least I know how long it takes to drive from A to B. This has been happening since Jan. 1, 2022
Iitterally what my dad said when he asked me to look into this lol
My one same..What to do?
Honda is aware of this issue. I believe they are working on a solution. I would suggest you contact your local Honda dealer. But I am also being told it will fix itself in a few months, if you want to wait that long. Not sure how that is going to fix it self but that is what I hear.. good luck.
@@mitchcoxHello Mitch
I did contact the dealer who emailed me directions on how to start the vehicle after the battery has been disconnected. Useless info as it was same as directions in the booklet that came with vehicle. I then contacted Honda Canada who, after two messages said it would correct itself in August 2022. I can wait to see what will happen. Love my Honda and wouldn't be able to sell it with a broken Navi. Solution for time being? Started wearing a watch.
The Honda US team stated: 'We have escalated the NAVI Clock Issue to our Engineering Team and they have informed us that you will experience issue from Jan 2022 thru August 2022 and then it will auto-correct. 'Please be assured that we will continue to monitor this and will advise you if a fix is available before that time.'
Well good to know because It’s currently 2002 in my truck and won’t let me change it
How do you fix the date if it's wrong
It won't let me press the more button on the setup screen, help?
Any clue on what's going on with the date and time that's set on January 1st 2002? And the time being incorrect all the time since the 1st of this month? 🙁
Monica,
I have the same problem
Same
@@louisecourtney6307 they said they have problems with the satellite, it will be fixed by August 😣
@@colbyhollman be patient, I read that they have problems with the satellite and will be fixed by August. Don't try to adjust it anymore 😕
Having the same issue, been searching everywhere for a solution. Thanks
My Honda CR-V shows Jan 1 2002! How do I set the correct date? A bunch of people are having the same issue, if anyone finds a solution please let me know.
I’m having the same issue. Please let me know if you find a solution.
I am having the same issue. Please let me know if you figure something out. Could it be a software glitch?
im having the same issue lol
What year?
Same issue here!
How do i adjust the LED clock on my radio? Dont have satnav in a 2007 i-vtec crv.
I have a 2010 CRV with nav. Every time I try to change the time manually it doesn’t save and says a random time. DST off. Any ideas?
My 2007 won’t adjust. Just stays in 3:00 hour
As a temporary workaround you could set the date and time correct with the year 2011. This will get your calendar day and time working. The days from 2011 line up with todays days. Then take it to Honda in the near future and see if they can provide a software update.
Big ty,!
I hoped this would have worked but everytime i set it and go back to the gps screen it gives a different time so i assume my honda crv's clock is as bad as the transmission but thank you for the video.
There is an issue with the satellites that Honda uses for their time syncing. Honda is aware of this problem and we are being told that it will correct itself in August. That is all I know at this time. Unfortunately, your transmission will not fix itself in August. 😀
how do you do it without the nav system? help!
I have a problem with the radio display of my 2006 honda civic, the time and date are wrong, the problem is that the radio tells me that I am out of the coverage area, is there a way to fix the time and date? even being like this? please help me.

What if it doesnt let me adjust it manually?
There is a problem with older Hondas and this new year. Honda is aware and working on a fix. Or it will eventually fix itself in August, not sure I see how, but that is what I am being told. I am sorry I dont have better news.
I have a 2010 odyssey. I followed your video, but when I cjange the time it moves, and immediately goes back to were it was. Any clues? And yes I turned off the auto daylight and gps.
It seems like with that year and earlier. There is an issue with the clock accepting the 2022 year. I am not aware of a solution. I suggest taking it by Honda and see if they have a software fix for it.
For change the calendar?
This is the nations best kept secret 😂

2007 Cr-V with built in GPS is stuck at 12 and 4 PM January 1st 2002. Battery reset did NOT fix it. Anyone else having the same problem?
YES ME TOO
@First Last Same issue, I think there is a problem with the satellite that provides the time and date but who knows... let us know if they can give you any explanation or solution though 😌
Here for the same issue haha..
Yes same exact problem keeps going back to January 1st, 2009
same problem with me too, i have a 2010. mine says january 1st 2002 and then says 4 o’clock every time i start my car
I tried to change it but it wouldn’t let me there was a completely different time on the screen and a diff Tim on clock adjustment and would not allow me to hit the correct time
same thing is happening to me. I think it reset for the new year. mine says 4pm Jan 1st 2002
My car is doing the exact same thing right now and I cannot figure out how to fix it.
Same helppppp
Same here.
@First Last exactly the same issue, mine showed the correct time two days ago (January 1 of 2022) but yesterday it was showing Jan 1 of 2002
Having same issue w/ my 2011 not holding the time. Common in 2011 as well?
Also, it appears I have a slow gasket leak. The engine light only comes on if it gets below 30° outside. Any ideas on locating the leak, how to repair or average cost of repair for this?
Apparently this is a known issue with the date turning over to 2022. Honda is aware of it, something with a satellite. They say it will correct itself in August. Not great news but at least it wont be like this forever. Hope this helps. As for the Gasket leak, there is some stuff called Head Gasket Fix by Bar's that has good reviews for helping seal up small leaks. I haven't tried it so use at your own risk. Good luck. Let me know what you ended up doing, I am interested.
Help!
My Honda CR-V Ex won’t show correct time or date. I followed your instructions but it didn’t help. It says January 1, 2002 4pm every time I start up the car

Mine used to show the clock on the screen.. How do i bring it back instead of showing the radio stations?
Press setup and then press clock. You can also use voice commands, press the voice command button on the steering wheel, say "display setup" then say "display clock".
I have a 2008 Civic Si and when I go to adjust the time it resets back to 12 no matter how many times you change the time. It also won’t change the date from 2002 to 2022
My brother is dealing with the exact same situation with his 09' CRV. Let us know if you find a remedy, and we'll do the same for you. We already checked fuses etc. and no luck. I may call the Honda dealership tomorrow if I get time. Keep in touch!

My brother called the Honda dealership, they said that they're aware of the problem they've had several calls about the issue, but they're waiting to hear back from Honda Motor Company directly on how they're supposed to handle this.

@@ardx1My CRV 2008 has the exact same issue, please let me know if your brother car got fixed. Thanks!

Not exactly same problem. But every time I adjust the clock from 430 pm to any other time it will reset back to 430 pm it never lets me change the clock even after saving it
This is a known issue with Honda. They say it will correct itself in August. Some issue with the satellite they use for time.
I have a 2010 CRV EX-L and the ‘More’ button is greyed out , and just beeps when I hit it….what should I do
I’m in the same boat with my 2007 - “more” button grayed out and won’t allow me to tap it.
Thank you, this was very helpful in changing the time setting on my Honda.

I did what you showed me. But it still didn’t change my clock.
Try again. Honda said they would fix it in August. So here we are. Let me know if your clock gets fixed. Thanks.

Having a similar problem as others of not being able to adjust my clock and date on 2009 CRV. Stuck on Jan 1, 2002 and the time resets to 1 o'clock every time I turn on the car. In addition my GPS does not work because the DVD disk drive doesn't work. It just eats disks and destroys them. I don't know if that complicates fixing this issue. Hope someone can help. Or maybe I just find a cheap replacement unit. What is this, a Y2K22 crisis?!
Today is the 2nd time I have driven my Honda CRV in 2022. I noticed that my clock is stuck on Jan 1, 2002 at 1o'clok as well. Yikes, I don't know how to fix this. I will see if I get a response here and also search other sources in the meantime.
Same issue. Stuck on Jan 1 2002. Clock won't go past 3. When adjusting as Mitch is doing the it wont adjust past "12:00" default. Every other function is fine so I think navi satellite guesses are right. I'm also certain I didn't have thus probkem prior to 2022.
good grief, I'm in the same boat. Clock will not maintain correct time since 1-1-2022. Something in the software perhaps?
@@BudBarnesCarGuy Same here. Appears a software issue ??
Same issue here. Start the car, always resets to Jan 1 2002 at 1:00
Hi I have a 2007 CRV w/Navi and when I to to Setup, my 'more' button is now highlighted so I can't click on it .... I remember having this problem last year but can not for the life of me remember what I did to get the 'More' button to come on where I could click it..... any suggestions?
Dallas Smith your screen should be a touch screen. Can you press the more button with your finger?
Nevermind....... I figured out I need to be in Map mode THEN go to setup and the 'more' button is lit to click on (how stupid is that!?!?) LOL!!
The more button doesnt light up to touch unless its in map mode when you go to setup....... I figured that out
+Dallas Smith Great! Glad you figured it out.
Thank you Mitch for replying so quickly! :) I appreciate it!!
