- Well that didn't take long ;)
I was fortunate enough to spend a day with Android Wear ahead of its launch and immediately took to adapting the wearable to our powerful home automation solution. Special thanks to Nathan Schwermann at OneLouder in Kansas City for giving up his Google I/O Samsung Gear Live for a day.
Lucky me, Android Wear works out of the box with the AutoApps including AutoVera, AutoVoice, and AutoNotification. To pass the voice command back to Android, root access is required with the Xposed Google Search API module enabled. We'll need to wait until launch to seek alternate access to voice commands, but the demonstrated method is obviously ideal.
Notifications with AutoNotification are ready to go and extremely powerful, you can create mini-apps to control anything on your Android device and beyond.
*If you're concerned about the speed, I suggest tasking a look at this video, • Android Home Automatio... , which features more traditional control.

When you have a revolutionary OS in your hands, choices are limitles.
Wth.... Google search is triggered whenever you say 'OK Google' .....hahhahaa
This is insane!
As I was watching your video, my phone kept capturing your voice and telling me to retrain my voice. Haha!
U activate my Google search every single time when u say OK Google...
This video toogled my voice search... 😑 #OKGoogle
Yea welll, Apple is making a 5.5 inch iPhone..... oh wait lol
Why so big delay?
Well that's fake, obviously. Why would there be a camera looking at the garage door from outside, and the garage does not open, it's just two stills, one open, one closed. Gives a bad feeling to this.
Haha, wow. Of course it is just two stills. What you don't seem to realize is that the image changes based on the state of the garage door, so if its open, it shows the open pic with a button to close, and if its closed it shows a button to open. This way you can see if your garage is open or closed by glancing, and quickly take action. So sorry about your "bad feelings".
Doug Gregory great job, people still don't get how thus works. Keep making this videos.
this is epic

I see, and you're right, it looks slow....but. If you look closely at the light, it changes immediately. The image doesn't change until it receives the off update from Vera, which doesn't happen until the light is at 0, which takes a second or two with dimmable lights. The image changes with the status of light, not because I pushed a button.
I hope that clears up why it seems like there is a substantial delay
This video gives you better example of what's going on: AutoVera and AutoNotification: ua-cam.com/video/v6CwjilAAgc/v-deo.html

OK, I understand and thank for your work
horrible ergonomics, it's faster to stand up and push some button. Won't be used much because Android wear is just full of swiping and space wasting...
