if i have a bunch of tough greens like collards, i like to chop them up and then dunk them for a second into a large stockpot of boiling water. they're still pretty much raw, but the flavor and texture is a lot more tasty

I greatly appreciate this video. As you mention in this video, I don't have to add as much salad dressing on my chopped salad. When I used to leave my leafy greens large, I found I kept adding more and more dressing in order to find it palatable. I wondered why I was taking in so many calories?! I also agree that cutting kale, collards and other more "bitter" leafy greens into smaller pieces help them to be covered more in the dressing resulting in a better taste for me.

Hi Tammy, love salads. In another video you put your salads in a plastic container which looked like holes in the lid. Is that for air to move around. Also if I prep but have extra salad how to store them.
    Thank you for your tutorials.

Hello! I love your chopped salads! I am wondering- i have a 15 inch wooden bowl and i bought a 7 inch Lamson mezzaluna knife a few weeks ago. I am wondering since i have never used this kind of knife before- would you say a 7 inch knife is too big for this size bowl i have? Or would it be better to use at 6.25 size instead? The Lamson Co said I could return this and make that exchange. I would appreciate hearing back from you! Thank you..

Hello Laura, As long as the curvature of the blade allows the blade center to contact all points inside the bowl it should work fine. if at any point the ends of the blade are contacting but not the center then it is too big. We will try to address this during todays Live show at 3:00 Pacific.
