I mean, if not for their aggressive advertising, I wouldn't have know this product existed. And because of this product, I enjoyed loud assemblies and loud concerts now than before. Thanks to this product.
Autist here. These are sensory aids. You're in a completely different market here. I'm also a musician and HAVE to have plugs to go to any shows, wait til you see how expensive music specific hearing protection is. Earplugs will always be flatter than earbuds, people get less angry if they realize I'm wearing earplugs than earbuds, even if the buds aren't on because they assume I can't hear my surroundings. I used the Surefire EP-3s for years, but got tired of the stems falling out. I have the Loop Swytch and it's one of the only earplug cases that I can wear on my keychain without fear of the plugs falling out because they're so light. The case also has a texture that helps with meltdowns in public in the even that I do get overwhelmed by all the noise. They mention these features on their site. All the colors, very specific modes, etc etc, these are all things aimed at the Sensory Aid market.
Yep and I do acknowledge from the very start that these are specialized tools which does exactly as an earplug, and a comfortable and stylish one at that. I just wondered how is an earplug advertised this much, and pricing is also another thing but again I'm very used to special tools having their own price points (especially medical ones) So again not to downplay the importance of earplugs, but for that price and for the general masses maybe they want to consider regular earbuds instead
@@namedkenn ik this is out of the topic but can I run wuthering waves at medium settings for long duration gameplay without a phone cooler on poco f6 ?
A few thoughts.. I’m not sure that ear buds are the answer for hearing protection. I worked very loud industrial environments at the beginning of my tech career and we had to have certified hearing protection. There is a reason why these environments and shooting s ranges don’t allow you to wear your ear buds in place of ear plugs. The buds do reduce sound, but they do not provide percussive protection to the degree an ear plug designed for it does. Also, while I understand that excessive advertising and marketing can seem suspicious, I don’t think it automatically means the company is selling an overpriced or bad product. The Thursday boot company also advertises like this. And they have a relatively inexpensive product for their market and the amount of advertising they do. I picked up a pair of their boots and they’re a really good product. I think it’s not unreasonable to put a significant portion of your budget into marketing your product. You have an incredibly massive amount of competition on the internet and you have to put yourself in front of people constantly in order to be remembered. People see so much information in a day now, that they only remember what they see often. The same goes for having a successful UA-cam channel. Gotta respect the algorithm and the human psychology behind marketing.
The buds don't reduce noise....they throw the "oposite" wave to your ear to make the feel of lack of noise. It works for pleasure. But do NOT protect your ears....in fact it's the oposite of that also. Are completely different products.
I appreciate the review! I’ve received the loop earplugs as a gift even before I saw these ads. They’re just… earplugs. So I found it a bit odd that they had so much ad budget for it.
The profit margin is probably absurd. R&D cost should be low, to even none if they're dropshipping. I'd say the total cost for a fully packaged set is probably around $1 USD.
Haha exactly I mean I appreciate the fact that they're well designed but I'm just fascinated by their ad budget 🤣 (and yeah I agree the profit margin esp on the higher end models are crazy)
Im suffering from tinnitus from working in loud airport environments, looking for something to protect my ears further while allowing myself to communicate with colleagues. Average exposures 70+decibels. Would engage be ideal?
I got one too…frankly speaking I think it cost like less than a dollar to make. I guess the packaging and the amount spent on advertising are what you are paying for.
@@Bungle2010 You can get ear plugs for all the stuff they advertise for from Clustiaus and it's cheaper than all theirs with free shipping. I think it's fair to say it's cheap
And yeah, sorry the ads annoy you but we don't really see Sensory Aids in any other way. It's not like we have a Sensory Aids store, we can just walk into and buy stuff. We're all using social media for advocacy and what not. These days, it's getting harder and harder to get any disability/sensory aids, especially if you're in a small town.
I think they could work for me because loud noises and music (on parties for exemple) makes me feel kinda dizzy and suffocate (more because of the loud base of the speaker) so something like the loop experience could help me but for that price I don't think it's worth it. But thank your for your honest opinion! ❤
Yeah honestly the product itself is good, nice design and comfortable too but price is in the territory of some good actually functioning earbuds Although I do know I'm comparing apples to oranges here, these are specialized tools for those who need it (I actually could appreciate using it in loud places too!)
There's another company that sells similar ear plugs called Clustiaus that're basically the same that're all cheaper than their cheapest ones and it's the exact same thing
I bought the switch 2, kinda disappointed. Really hard to figure out how to get them in my ear properly, and I can’t really hear a difference between the modes or even with or without them. But it might just be me not figuring out how to insert them properly. They’re pretty overpriced, but the design is cool. Might return it tho
@mmissiiii try to twist them when they're in your ear to make sure they seal, found that helps with keeping my cheaper ones in properly. Hope that helps at all 😊
Can someone suggest me an earbud that can store music file and doesn't need to play via bluetooth from phone? I don't want to carry my phone while im jogging listening to music.
i think the only options are earphones like Sony's WS413 walkman, or search for earphones for swimming in general? since bluetooth signal doesn't work well underwater, those typically have built in storage for music. but these are the neckbands type. for TWS solutions, I can only think of the OG Samsung Gear Icon X which can store music on the earbuds themselves, and not sure if other brands are still making earbuds like that. I've seen some that uses the charging case to store music more recently but that kinda defeats the purpose. i think the easier option would be to get a smartwatch/fitness tracker that can play music through regular bluetooth instead. or perhaps a small clip on MP3 player that has bluetooth support would work too? 😅
Just got my pair of quiet 2 version yesterday. And i really love it to use cause it's comfortable to use for studying or sleeping. Maybe i need some of those another pair of any version that i can use it for studying (quiet it's too silent and i can't hear other people when come to me 😅).
I bought these. They are overpriced glorified earplugs, nothing more. The only thing I really like about them is that they are very comfortable. You forget you’re wearing them. The marketing is all hype though. They should be half the price.
I have a pair of their proper ear plugs......as in the ones designed to block everything.....and they work great. Used them several times in hotel rooms where there's noise coming from somewhere at night.

Thanks for the help everyone 😆🙌🏻 I really have no clue in this regard aside from the very first Samsung TWS indeed (even I forgot about it already!)
Be careful with how long you use any ear buds. blocking can increase moisture and prevent ear wax from existing. This can cause fungal infections.
If the advertisement tries to force the product down my throat, it's such a big turn off for me!
