I assure you, this has more to do with TNA finding new methods to sit on their own balls and propping Sting up than it is him. He wasn’t physically capable of keeping up with the fresh young talent they kept cramming into the midcard despite their immense talent, and Dixie just couldn’t get over that fact. AEW Sting was actively trying to put people over, but Tony and the roster insisted on losing because they considered it an honor that he’s even there. Bashir being a big part of the X-Division is TNA’s version of Enzo Amore being Cruiserweight Champion. Not great wrestlers being the focus of a division that was all about work rate.
I don't know much about Billy Corgan, but he's well into his 50s. So, considered his love for the NWA and territory wrestling, I'd bet a lot of money that he's been a fan of wrestling from well before the 90s.

As late in life as the Sting/Foley match was, I always appreciate how it echoed how Foley's career began. His first main event program was with Sting in WCW, feels fitting his final one in wrestling was with Stinger as well. It was a fine bookend.

Hearing Jay Hunter shout out so many Philly favorites made my year. 215 in this jawn! Good on ya lads
@@robgesualdi206 We need more hoagie/cheesesteak talk.
44:20 Dang, that's one of the earliest maps you could get of Universal Orlando. All the classic opening rides that are long gone; Kongfrontation, Back to the Future, Nick Studios... though still far enough that they already replaced Ghostbusters with Twister. Dang, so much that's gone...
Lee-uh-core-us Center mates. Thanks for covering this. Was lucky enough to be there live for it
With me attending a WWE house show for the first time since 2012, AEW Dynasty tonight and this, it’s fair to say I’ve had a good weekend of wrestling! Can’t wait to watch this!
I love a Retrospective heavy episode, you have a laugh and learn a lot as well. Oh and LOVING the OOC CVC!
Omg I’m in this video lol. At 18:37 when Billy Corgan is taking the belts. Can’t really see my face, but I’m left of the bald guy in the blue shirt, holding up my phone to take a pic
I literally still have the photo I was taking on my camera role. So cool
Lol no way! Awesome. If u still have it pls email me so I can see! oswreview@ gmail .com
This arc has cemented in my brain that Sting is as much as a politic guy as Hogan. Always wins, never puts anyone over.
The man has too much weight to his name to be used lightly.
Crazy to think that Micker was 43 here but he looked and moved like an old man, meanwhile someone like Finn Balor is almost 43 today and the dude moves like a weapon
Was in the building for this (Lee-Ah-Core-Us!!), D-Von brawled right past me, awesome night, my dad and I ran out after the main event to hear the radio call of Andre Iguodala’s game winner against the Magic
Oh the Matrix double hair pull, that was such a Divas Division move
just clicked on this thinking it's another episode of my favorite podcast, until the Dudley's promo came up and I realized the title of the video and this was the only TNA show I ever attended, I was 13 years old, my mom dropped off me and my older brother, I'll never forget our view of lethal lockdown from the upper section, everyone in my section thought the Bobby Lashley reveal was going to be Tazz. and I got to see my all time favorite Mick Foley for the first time and I got see him win.a world title, I've decided against seeing Impact every time they come to the ECW arena, just so I can say this is the only TNA show I ever went to.
and in case you wanted to know it's pronounced Lee-a-coors center
It's kind of embarrassing how many people get OSW tattoos seem to have zero understanding of what a boy stable should be.
12:40
"Didn't he save kids from a burning building?"
"That's why he got his fire tattoo on his head"
The saving kids seems to have happened in 2000
He had his tattoo before that
I don’t really think Rude’s theme doomed him. I think no matter the theme, they weren’t going to push him on the main roster was his problem.
It's a shame because he's 100% a Triple H sorta guy so if he wasn't so broken down he'd probably have a spot in the US or IC title picture right now.
This PPV name was crazy after 2020 and we all went into a real lockdown!
What's amazing is she hadn't already considered just putting every match in a cage...
Tears of laughter just at the
S-Club opening.
You all rock.
Currently off work sick and OOC BA made me belly laugh. Thank you, Steve, I needed that.
OOC’s BA is money!
OOCs book reviews are so great It was such a pleasant surprise we got one in the middle Of this review
Bashir being a big part of the X-Division is TNA’s version of Enzo Amore being Cruiserweight Champion. Not great wrestlers being the focus of a division that was all about work rate.
Gotta be real with ya lads, that last boys stable definitely deserved the hate lmao, this one wasn't near as rough Snuka aside.
I don't know much about Billy Corgan, but he's well into his 50s. So, considered his love for the NWA and territory wrestling, I'd bet a lot of money that he's been a fan of wrestling from well before the 90s.
That special announcement spot was perfection
1:06:48 Angelina Love did the Bashir move and jumped in the air to take that crossbody yet the lads didn’t even acknowledge it!
I'm glad you guys mentioned that the "Glorious" shtick was kind of a curse for Roode. It raised his floor, but lowered his ceiling. It turned him into too much of a gimmick.
I almost skipped the OOC CVC chapter, to uphold kayfabe
Excellent episode Brahs!! A “return to form” most I’ve laughed in ages.
As late in life as the Sting/Foley match was, I always appreciate how it echoed how Foley's career began. His first main event program was with Sting in WCW, feels fitting his final one in wrestling was with Stinger as well. It was a fine bookend.
AJ Styles "catch me brahs"
All the Brahs who weren't gonna catch him "Okay"
That has to be the worst Scott Steiner impression I've ever heard. Good work.
46:54 Fact I learned from a recent Kim Justice video, apparently Inoki planned for the IWGP brand to be a governing body for a bunch of companies a la NWA. Plans fell through, but Inoki kept the name for the belts.
Snuka is the OJ of the wrestling world. A star in his profession, but we all know he did it.
13-year-old me at the time was dialed into TNA. I always loved Mankind so seeing Mick in TNA at this time and winning the world title fired me up. I looked forward to him putting on these crazy matches but I remember being extremely bummed not seeing him wrestle great matches on the weekly shows since I could never buy the ppvs
Greg Valentine is a medical wonder. He was born looking like he was 45 years old, and he has maintained that age his entire life. It's like some kind of terrible monkey's paw wish.
Today is a awesome day! First video in my feed! HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGIAN!😊🎉
My wife (who is not a wrestling fan) and I went to go and see WWE Live at the O2 last Friday, and immediately and throughout the night, the fans wanted tables. My wife asked me "Who is Tay Boze and when is his match?"
The random George Lucas impression was brilliant.
I love this arc as it encompasses so many feds and running gags. That and a new segment which is awesome!
1:27:52 genuinely though it was gonna be Joes pizza delivered by Billy Lindsey
That low-angle dropkick through the cage door was a sweet spot though, gotta give Bashir credit for pulling that off with such a small margin of error going through the ropes.
A fellow fifer glad I'm not the only one. 🏴
