My sister was watching something the other day and there was a really bad fat joke in there and I felt compelled to do my best Steiner impression and leaving her to it. Then I apologised for scaring her because he nearly jumped clean through the ceiling when I yelled "He's fat!"

As the King of Kayfabe, OOC's kayfabe breaker is flawed as wrestling physics dictates that the plastic bin is not hard like the dreaded steel tinfoil bin but it's material allows force to go through it and multiply the stunning capability so when Sting splashed on it, it is not "hard" he doesn't need to sell it but Foley does as he was within its cruel and dangerous embrace. This is also seen in the "Stuck in something/insurmountable object" chapter of Wrestling physics 101 where you will also find ladder climbing technique, falling off roofs after monster truck battles and how the American announcer desk is more damaging than the Spanish desk. Cited there we read that a metal bin has another effect if placed over the wrestler and struck as wrestling physics has similar properties to looney toon physics in that although we can not see within the bin, we know that their heads are vibrating and small birds float around their heads. We also know this physics theory is true as the inverse is also codified in wrestling physics 101 as ring ropes are displayed as being springy whereas in real life they are hard and painful but the wrestlers don't sell them. This is known as the Bobby Fish effect where no reaction occurs.
I don't wish to rain on Mr. OOC's parade, but, the recently departed, Jerry Springer, closed all his shows with, "Take care of yourselves, and each other."
Impact just uploaded these shows this year! Lovely crisp 1080p encodes. I hope they re-render the TNA PPVs as they're still in 720p. Those need all the help they can get!
27:20 Mick's been heel a few times now that I think about it. The WWECW turn was, I think, the last, but in OG ECW the "cane dewey" turn was, for the ECW crowd, a heel turn. He wasn't doing hardcore spots, no weapons, mostly rest holds and mat wrestling, I think that was the first for him. And of course his biggest as Mankind when he teamed up with Kane and "Uncle Paul" against Stone Cold and Taker in... a sorta Hell in a Cell that wasn't really a cell match but more of an angle to end the show on.
I have seen almost every review you guys have done, I will never understand how you do it. Just incredible chemistry, excellent commentary, and it's nice to see actual footage. Thanks you guys, I say as I watch this for a 10th time.
At first I wasn't sure I wanted to watch any tna reviews but your tna reviews are some of my favorites and it proves how good tna were at this time. The in ring action blew wwe out of the water and it's not even close

9:22 I thought he hated the term "quite unique". We gottem. Also the main event mafia's theme always made me think of some ff8 sorceress battle stuff lol.
So it's actually genuine that Kurt and Karen have a good relationship even after the divorce? I ask in surprised tone because Kurt's in the dark period of his life, and I was always under the impression Jeff stole Karen away from Kurt in a Benoit, Woman, Sullivan type 'book your own divorce' storyline
Karen was snippy at Kurt not too long ago on Twitter (in 2023) but I dunno how kayfabey it is. But circa 07-08, Jarrett dated her after his wife died, whilst Kurt was separated and prepping for divorce. The details and timelines are a bit he-said she-said. Dixie confronted Jarrett about the (true) rumours of dating Karen and was suspended when the truth came out. By the time he returned in 2009, Jeff and Kurt were amicable and worked it into a storyline. Kurt's quite open about being at fault for his marriage failing, which is pretty decent of him. So Kurt and Karen were separated (en route to a legal divorce) by the time Jarrett dated her. So apart from lying to the boss, I think it was fine. Official legal divorce went through Oct 2008, but I gather Kurt and Karen would've been emotionally/physically separate for a year or so before that, so I wouldn't give Jarrett crap for it, ya know? Hope that all makes sense!
@@OSW I mean, I never wanted to get into the dirt of their issues like some TMZ journalist, stalking the message boards of 15 years ago to hear the rumors and spicy-spicy backstage scuttlebutt. I took it all at face value, and I found watching the feud between them awkward, both because of the drama, and the negative feelings I had for Jeff from years of people saying he 'never drew a dime.' But, now that I know more about Jeff beyond his wrestling character and appreciate his talents better, I'm glad the three are at least amicable, and they get along for their family's sake. Always feels awkward revisiting wrestling stories that involve family drama, the mental strain of that never ends well for anyone.
He did until he did 50 return matches. - Hell in a cell 2000 - Wrestlemania 2000 - Backlash 04 - Wrestlemania 06 (I think? The one vs Edge lol) - Even One Night Stand 06 tho it would've been weird since he was heel He just kept coming out of retirement so it's his own fault tbh
Never even realized that the MEM and Frontline angle was a recreation of Russo's New Blood vs. Millionaire's Club angle but it was I guess. Only difference is the new blood were a lot of power plant guys and midcarders whereas Front Line already had two main eventers since early days of TNA.
You can see and hear how much you lads appreciate TNA. I was on the line back then, never fully crossed. But now? Thanks to OSW, TNA is my number one boy in the Jobber promotion stable.
Hogan's CCW - Took my mid-teens nephew to Los Angeles for the taping of the first and last episodes! Complete bollocks! We had the best time, mostly studying how it was all put together and cheering the shite out of whatever they did in the ring. I always hoped for a dvd/digital release so we might go frame-by-frame to find ourselves
I live with a fat male cat who I'm cutting Scott Steiner fat promos on constantly. I'd love it if in the far future you guys could cover the Immortal story line. The promos Bully Ray cuts with Scott Steiner pretty much single-handedly convinced me that he's one of the greatest talkers in wrestling. You guys make some compelling points about the state of the Frontline at this point in the arc. You're the experts so I'll defer to you but isn't this textbook Russo? Incapable of booking an up and coming face faction to save his life? I guess there's still the possibility that they're being given less talking points by the writers and just being told "hey there big boy, go cut a good promo big boy." I particularly love the observations you guys are making about Sting's heel turn. I'm not the biggest fan of his but I'm appreciating that it's less about being evil for him and more about being an opportunist. Like why wouldn't he surround himself with winners and legends? It's just a sensible business move for someone as iconic as he is. I'm loving how oblivious you guys are about getting Roxxi over. I can only speak for myself but now I'm all about the Rock Bum Bum and not giving a shit about SpikeTV. In fairness I think you can lay the blame almost entirely at V1's feet. If he hadn't put such a spotlight on her promo about losing all the time she wouldn't be on track to ironically getting over with your fanbase. Jay constantly calling for her segments to be cut is also a big boost in her favor. Adding to the points you guys make about Tana and Okadas' TNA runs: When I was watching TNA the most regularly, during a dark era, they pretty much did the same kind of mishandling with Sanada who is arguably just as talented in the ring as the other two. He would go on to prove that when he returned to New Japan. The last thing I remember from his TNA run was that James Storm was doing a ripoff of Bray Wyatt's cult leader gimmick and he turned Sanada evil by tying him to a post inside a barn and giving him blue clothes and face paint...I wish I was making that up. Thanks as always for this incredible story arc review and keep up the great work.
I want to disagree because Chris Park is very talented, but yeah the gimmick and leaning on hardcore weapons/punishment to get over is very Mankind 😂 He's a much better wrestler than his gimmick would suggest... which is also Mankind!
Speaking of the "you want a war line being better." May or maybe early June 96. Summer starting. School year ending. Excited about what is going on in wrestling. Unbelievable times. Nash had just shown up on Nitro. That night I am riding home lying on back of my dad's pickup truck on that summer night looking up at the stars and Smashing Pumpkin's "Tonight Tonight" is playing in my head as I think about finally a war between WWF and WCW. magical time. I'm in my early teens.

Impact just uploaded these shows this year! Lovely crisp 1080p encodes. I hope they re-render the TNA PPVs as they're still in 720p. Those need all the help they can get!
Literally popped for the surprise 30th entrant return of Mr. OOC's Kayfabe Breaker! The Bob Backlund of OSW.... an unappreciated gimmick in its time.
OHHHH MEEEEEE MEOWWWWW
I'm still buzzing from being at AEW last night, this is the perfect little treat! Cheers you absolute madlads!
Scott Steiner is our Modern Day Shakespeare
I have seen almost every review you guys have done, I will never understand how you do it. Just incredible chemistry, excellent commentary, and it's nice to see actual footage.
Thanks you guys, I say as I watch this for a 10th time.
At first I wasn't sure I wanted to watch any tna reviews but your tna reviews are some of my favorites and it proves how good tna were at this time. The in ring action blew wwe out of the water and it's not even close
Wait didnt jeff hardy faced naito at wrestle kingdom for the TNA title when hardy was the heel champion?
Another fantastic episode, looking forward to the next and learning more about this time in TNA.
First episode since I subscribed (which coincidentaly was also the day this episode was released) and a whopper episode to boot. Pretty sure the MEM theme is gonna win best cover at this years Golden Noggers. Nothing but RESPECCCCC to the lads.
1:01:01 You are so much eqg who
9:22 I thought he hated the term "quite unique". We gottem.
Also the main event mafia's theme always made me think of some ff8 sorceress battle stuff lol.
Never thought Steiners Impact debut would put me over the edge and Finley become a Patreon! Long over due. ( insert * noise ) Thx lads!
Sláinte! Great to have ya aboard! I'll pass the congrats onto Roxxi it must've been her that put us over the top 🙂
Yeah, she puts everybody over 👆🏻
So it's actually genuine that Kurt and Karen have a good relationship even after the divorce?
I took it all at face value, and I found watching the feud between them awkward, both because of the drama, and the negative feelings I had for Jeff from years of people saying he 'never drew a dime.'
But, now that I know more about Jeff beyond his wrestling character and appreciate his talents better, I'm glad the three are at least amicable, and they get along for their family's sake. Always feels awkward revisiting wrestling stories that involve family drama, the mental strain of that never ends well for anyone.
The fact Mick Foley didn't get a big send off match in the WWE is a shame
He did until he did 50 return matches.
- Hell in a cell 2000
- Wrestlemania 2000
- Backlash 04
- Wrestlemania 06 (I think? The one vs Edge lol)
- Even One Night Stand 06 tho it would've been weird since he was heel
He just kept coming out of retirement so it's his own fault tbh
@@juicyeboi9006 Foley learned a lot from Terry Funk. Like how to milk a retirement for 12 years.
@@juicyeboi9006 he also had the match with Rock against Evolution at WM 20 I think? At least the matches were pretty fun, all things considered!
OSW is the only group I know that can take a song and make it canon in my real life.
Thanx, boys!
AUGH! Thanks for not notifying me, algorythm! I could have watched this all the way through before bed! :/
Roxxi was legitimately a fantastic wrestler. Her work on Shimmer was outstanding and she was one of the most over talents.
Oh God, I can't unsee Eric Young as Butters now
TNA reviews from OSW are the boys at their peak form. Here's to 12 years in, lads!
I can only hope they'll do aces and eights in the future 😂
In the immortal words of the great Brian Pillman (RIP), "I RESPECCCCC you Booker Man!"
abyss has always come off as a bargain basement mankind to me
I want to disagree because Chris Park is very talented, but yeah the gimmick and leaning on hardcore weapons/punishment to get over is very Mankind 😂 He's a much better wrestler than his gimmick would suggest... which is also Mankind!
Steiner's tna run makes me wish he never won a world title so I could put him in my boys stable
Roxxi getting the Mo OSW HOF push!
If you guys made these in the pre UA-cam days and sold them on dvd I’d have bought every single one of them
HES FAT!
Thanks for the birthday present lads. Love you to death!
Happy birthday brother! May your celebrations be many and free of roxxi
I miss the pop culture rewind it would give us a general vibe of the time period there and also SUICIDE IS A DEFINITE BOY I’ll take him 👌
Abyss is the mick foley of TNA disgustingly UNDERRATED 💯
Love ya lads. Decided to pull my wallet and chuck ya some clams after enjoying your work for many years
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE somehow get Chris Sutherland (the announcer from Killer Instinct) to record a "KAY-KAY-KAY-KAY KAYFABE BREAKER!"
OOC has spoken, Roxy isn't gonna get over.
4:39
Almost stole Jerry Springer's gimmick OOC, be careful!!!!
Literally the only videos I look forward to now, thank you guys for all the laughs!
Sláinte! Glad u enjoyed it mate 🙂👍
