One of my favourite and most underrated parts of OSW is I always feel I learn new things every time I watch a Review. Foley is my favourite wrestler, and that hasn't changed; but I learned about his role in Daffney's death. RIP Daffers, even without intentional malice; this industry takes good people far too young.
I would also argue that this is illustrative of an unfortunate domino effect in wrestling because, let's face it, whilst thankfully he's not seemingly had any serious issues, Mick Foley has DEFINITELY run into brain damage over the years, and should probably not be allowed by anyone in charge to have any say in what hardcore spots people should or shouldn't do
Jay, your commentary on Daffney's bump, and the subsequent domino effect ripping outward from there, really got to me last night. Thank you for that time of reflection. I didn't know I had needed it.
Yeah. I know I take for granted the abuse wrestlers put their bodies through, and I really shouldn't. That's a horrific chain of consequences all from a fairly mundane spot.
