Notice how she looks into the camera enough to aknowlege the television audience and then appears to have eye contact with all possible individuals in the live audience. Then there is that smile. Pure, natural class, and phenominal talent.
I feel the same!! I knew the song Georgy Girl from all l those years ago, but have only very recently discovered the group and all their other beautiful amazing songs! I’m obsessed!!
I can't listen to this song without her beautiful voice sending shivers down my spine. This is the perfect song to showcase her once in a lifetime talent.
I'm 9 months younger than Judith so she must have been about 24/5 when this was recorded. Makes me feel old but what will NEVER age are The Seekers. All those melodies, the harmony, the key spot on and Judith - that voice, so pure, so clear like sparkling champagne. Thank you Seekers for giving the world something very special.
It's truly a timeless gift to world. I'm from Brazil and today I have less years old than Judith when this video was recorded, but still love The Seekers! :-)
i agree with your comment. i have watched this farewell concert several times and Judith's singing of this song as well as Colours of my Life, and the Olive Tree are unforgettable.
They were a great band and Judith was fantastic. She loved singing and you could see the joy in her eyes. Everyone should have a chance to see what a great singer she really was.
Back in the 60s, in the U.S., When I first heard "Another You", I thought; Man they are good. "A world of Our Own" came out and I listened for them intensly on the AM radio. When "Georgy Girl" hit the air, I was plumb gone. Their records weren't readily available in my area, but my much loved older sister found and bought me "Georgy Girl" on 45 vinyl. I still have it and wouldn't trade it for love or money. Folks, as most of you know, sincerely, music doesn't get any better than this...
A few months ago the young lady who works in the office at the excavation company I work for came to me to find a song to play for her husband at their first anniversary. I"m the old guy that"s kept up on the music scene since heavy metal was a Buick untill now so i"v introduced this collection of early 20"s to mid 40"s to a lot of muic of all stripes, Anyways the criteria for this anniversary song was pretty strict. She wanted something with some life that still conveyed , how she felt something they could dance to and not one that was already over used hat everyone had heard before. I ran a few by her but no contest, this was the one.{ live FAREWELL VERSION} Needles to say it went over well. The amazing thing is that the Seekers have an instant 40 or 50 new fans, As much as I like the Seekers and of course Judith I"m beginning to want to hear some other stuff coming out of the shop speakers. Sure enough Judith"s voice is pretty addictive but I have got to have a good rock attack sometimes to. Since I introduced this one song the whole place has fallen under the same Judith spell that I did so many years ago. Just goes to show, good is good and doesn"t come with a best before date,
This performance is live on stage and broadcast on live TV. My heat is broken for Judith has passed us by. This is a tribute to that beautiful girl's voice. I will never forget her, for she made me love music.
I have been a huge fan of the seekers my whole life and have been fortunate enough to enjoy their live performances on several occasions, but this has to be one of the best! The backing band gives them tremendous depth and Judith's voice is (as always) awe inspiring. I have had the great honour of meeting Ms. Durham on three occasions and to say she is the finest lady you would ever care to meet, would be an understatement. Thank you for this post and thank you Seekers! Brisbane, Australia.
Every time I listen to Judith I can't help compare her with todays female "singers"!!! They just cannot compete with her voice ,thats the bottom line!!!
Judith Durham, like Joan Baez and Judy Collins, still have the most incredibly beautiful voices that I know that I will ever hope to hear in my lifetime!
No normal healthy male back then could've not been totally in love with Judith. What an absolute Stunner! She is just so incredibly beautiful. I'm still completely besotted with her, still a very beautiful elegant woman!
This brilliant performance of this song is the high point of the show for me. The best artists are at their best when they perform before an audience. I have a CD of greatest hits of the Seekers, but much prefer to watch them on UA-cam. Here's hoping that someone will publish a DVD of one of their best concerts.
N.ever thought as a high school kid years ago listening to KISD in Sioux Falls, that I would still enjoy this fine song complete with video, 52 years later, retired at the ocean in South Carolina. That tin ee car radio to digital stereo, thanks You Tube and Seekers
Farewell The Seekers(the program where this clip came from) rocks all the time, what a sound! One of their best performance on stage ever.I hope so that the BCC put this program on DVD!The VHS(that i have) of this program is completly worn
I really like this song. The group seems to really get into the song.....Especially at the end when Judith is singing different words than the rest of the group. Funny how they all get to the end at the same time! Yeah, this one gets my toes tapping! Thanks Proculled for the upload.
Judith has an AM degree from RMIT, at Piano Performance, the others are self taught musicians.- not taking anything away from them. her voice and their harmonies are unusual combination that works forever. Thanks for uploading these old tapes.
This is one of the Seekers last songs together in 1968. Judith's singing is with the angels. Another song I'll commit to memory and sing to myself before I fall asleep.
Listening to Judith is always like riding a "Magic Carpet of Song". I'm "carried away" by any song she sings. We all love you sweet Judith. Many happy years.
Proculled, Thank you for all these songs you have out there for us... This is just super music... The Seekers are just a great blend of sounds and talent and the voice of Judith just has no equal. Ron TN
Love is kind, love is wine, So much laughter in your eyes, And you know that I will love you Till the last flower dies. Do you hear music far away? There's so much I'd like to say, Got a felling, oh so new, So I'm singing just for you. You are everywhere I find, in my heart and on my mind, Time is all I have, time for you. You are all that I will be, You're a sunrise on the sea, You're the love I cannot hide, You're a magic carpet ride. You are everywhere I find, in my heart and on my mind, Time is all I have, time for you. Love is kind, love is wine, So much laughter in your eyes, And you know that I will love you Till the last flower dies. Love is kind, love is wine, So much laughter in your eyes, And you know that I will love you Till the last flower dies.
I'm at a disadvantage here. When they first became popular I was overseas and didn't get to hear a lot of the new artists and their songs until I can back stateside. So I missed out on their start. If I had I would have been a fan of theirs from the beginning.
@epb50 You are soooo right on-my favorite folk group from the 60's. I own many many of there Austrlian Only pressings-Judith had one of the truly great folksinging voices of all time-she is in the same class as a singer with Joan Baez & Judy Collins!
They appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show back in I believe 1965. The Ed Sullivan Show - Originally aired: June 13, 1965 on CBS Guests: --Tom Jones - "It's Not Unusual" & "Watcha You Gonna Do" --The Seekers - "A World of Our Own" --Dee Dee Sharp - "Steady, Steady" --Sid Caesar --London Lee (comedian) --Jean Paul Vignon - "What Now My Love" (in French) --Allen and Rossi (comedians) --Steve Rossi - "Sunrise, Sunset" --Rudi Schweitzer (juggler)
The recording made on 3/7/68 at The Talk of The Town was released on LP audio only in 1968. The concert you see here was done at the BBC 7/7/68.This concert was released on CD and VHS video in 1999.

Po tolikih letih še zmeraj prečudovita pesem. Pa tudi stara toliko kot jaz =)
She has a lot of restraint while singing with the Seekers- her voice is gorgeous but when you hear her solos (like Climb Every Mountain) you get a glimpse of her remarkable talent.
@justretired100 They ARE a great band. And she LOVES singing and everyone WILL get a chance to see what a great singer she and her boys ARE this coming year...
This performance/rendition of the song is fantastic! This song should have rivaled their Tom Springfield hits in popularity, However their release version is so heavily over-produced that it is nowhere near as beautiful as this performance.
I first got to know this band in 1978, some ten years after they originally split with the tracks from the Hide and Seekers album. When my late father heard me sing Kumbaya, he started playing the record.
Hopelessand Forlorn She's a typical Virgo Goat don't be so hard on her! As someone who loved one the years have taught they can't help they way they are it is part of their make up.
I don't know whether they used the same band for both, they sound very similar, but you're right these versions seems more meaningful etc than the ones done in the studios. I think the first concert was just an ordinary one and not a farewell one like the one above although they seemed to both have the same acts, but of this I cannot be sure, sorry.
An amazing performer and an even better person. The music world would be much better off if all prospective singers had to take Judith Durham 101 before starting their career.
Let's get a million views for this special lady and her friends
I still love their music. They were the iconic band from Australia.
R.I.P. JUDITH DURHAM
Notice how she looks into the camera enough to aknowlege the television audience and then appears to have eye contact with all possible individuals in the live audience. Then there is that smile. Pure, natural class, and phenominal talent.
Wonderful singer and person. I miss her!
Holy cow. Where has this been all my life?
I feel the same!! I knew the song Georgy Girl from all l those years ago, but have only very recently discovered the group and all their other beautiful amazing songs! I’m obsessed!!
I can't listen to this song without her beautiful voice sending shivers down my spine. This is the perfect song to showcase her once in a lifetime talent.
Rest in Peace little angel the lady with the magic voice bless you hugs in heaven XOX
Far and away the best Australian band of all time. And the most wonderful human beings as well. xxx
Judith….absolutely! The other guys are great, too.
Adrian Larkins I am 2 months younger than Judith. When I hear her sing, even in recent recordings, I feel like we are both still 24.
Alan Rosenbaum She had just become 25 a few days before this was recorded.
Tempus fugit
+Adrian Larkins It sure does. Thank you The Seekers for fifty + years of joy.
It's truly a timeless gift to world. I'm from Brazil and today I have less years old than Judith when this video was recorded, but still love The Seekers! :-)
No one could top Judiths voice she truly has the voice of an angel, and together as a group are just magical
Julie Dutton Karen Carpenter too. Just saying.
@@peecee1384 nup, Judith is much better.
What a great song by a great group. Love the Seekers .
And sung by a great lady!
Possibly the perfect performance: timing, harmonies, great musical arrangement, stunning singing from Judith and a spot-on ending.
i agree with your comment. i have watched this farewell concert several times and Judith's singing of this song as well as Colours of my Life, and the Olive Tree are unforgettable.
They were a great band and Judith was fantastic. She loved singing and you could see the joy in her eyes. Everyone should have a chance to see what a great singer she really was.
The closest to perfection in the music world w/o question!
The way Keith plays that guitar at the beginning is just awesome....gives me butterflies in my tummy. His voice in the background is so perfect!
Goodness me that was amazing. Never even heard of them until today. So glad I did. WHAT A VOICE.
A lovely happy song, The Seekers could sing happy, joyful, spiritual and sad songs.
Such wonderful harmony . Beautiful. One of the all time greatest groups!
She is a 10K diamond.... The whole group has the most fantastic music and sound....
Ron, Tennesse
The seekers STILL hold the Australian record for the biggest mob of punters (largest audience )
Judith is simply fantastically superb all the way around.
Brilliant group. What a handsome man Keith was.
THE SEEKERS💖👸🕺👬🌟🤩
Great!🎼🎵🎹🎸🎻🎤📀👍👏
From Hong Kong🙋♀️🌏💝🌺🥰
Every time I watch Judith sing I get mesmerized no one else can sing like this.

Nice comment. We think alike.
Well, if you want something different, put on some Zeppelin or Free, but then swing back to Judith! That woman is a human drug, a very intense drug!
Have been a lifelong fan of The Seekers and I'm 58, knew Judith when I was 6 and she was 16
A great Bruce Woodley composition and Judith simply rocks on it...
I saw them live in 2013. Everybody there were old enough to be my grandparents. Guess people my age don't appreciate good music.
This performance is live on stage and broadcast on live TV. My heat is broken for Judith has passed us by. This is a tribute to that beautiful girl's voice. I will never forget her, for she made me love music.

OMG! How could two people not like this song? It is beautiful!

As a group they have an incredible sound and Judith is a 10k diamond....

I still like listening to this song.
I was a very little boy when they were active...but I have strong memories of their songs in the house. It's great to hear them again!
such a great, fun song...soaring to new heights...this live version is by far the best I've found
This brilliant performance of this song is the high point of the show for me. The best artists are at their best when they perform before an audience. I have a CD of greatest hits of the Seekers, but much prefer to watch them on UA-cam. Here's hoping that someone will publish a DVD of one of their best concerts.
LibraryUser61 There are many highlights in this concert. Judith Durham's singing is sublime.
Judith is the greatest female voice. What a group The Seekers were
what a voice.....
N.ever thought as a high school kid years ago listening to KISD in Sioux Falls, that I would still enjoy this fine song complete with video, 52 years later, retired at the ocean in South Carolina. That tin ee car radio to digital stereo, thanks You Tube and Seekers
tanta bellezza... tanta soavità... tanta dolcezza!
grazie Judith!
tu rendi dolce la mia vita durissima!
Farewell The Seekers(the program where this clip came from) rocks all the time, what a sound! One of their best performance on stage ever.I hope so that the BCC put this program on DVD!The VHS(that i have) of this program is completly worn
In my teen age, i admired this song .presently i'm crying about my past.
Wasn't she absolutely fantastic listen to her voice it rings out crystal clear and isn't that a beautiful song
One more time: Wonderful Judith.
Thanks.
I really like this song. The group seems to really get into the song.....Especially at the end when Judith is singing different words than the rest of the group. Funny how they all get to the end at the same time! Yeah, this one gets my toes tapping! Thanks Proculled for the upload.
Wonderful lady. Great performance. Hands down a great group!
It still ROCKS...!
Oh I love this arrangement and 'Magic carpet ride...' always gives me the goosebumps :) xxx

Great version of a great song.
Proculled,
Thank you for all these songs you have out there for us...
This is just super music... The Seekers are just a great blend of sounds and talent and the voice of Judith just has no equal. Ron TN
I agree... that was the year I graduated from college... now 20 yrs. Time just flies...
Love is kind, love is wine,
So much laughter in your eyes,
And you know that I will love you
Till the last flower dies.
Do you hear music far away?
There's so much I'd like to say,
Got a felling, oh so new,
So I'm singing just for you.
You are everywhere I find, in my heart and on my mind,
Time is all I have, time for you.
You are all that I will be,
You're a sunrise on the sea,
You're the love I cannot hide,
You're a magic carpet ride.
You are everywhere I find, in my heart and on my mind,
Time is all I have, time for you.
Love is kind, love is wine,
So much laughter in your eyes,
And you know that I will love you
Till the last flower dies.
Love is kind, love is wine,
So much laughter in your eyes,
And you know that I will love you
Till the last flower dies.
The ultimate feel good song. Eagerly awaiting Albert Hall concert on 3rd June 2014
Judith is just wonderful as well as the Seekers.
I'm at a disadvantage here. When they first became popular I was overseas and didn't get to hear a lot of the new artists and their songs until I can back stateside. So I missed out on their start. If I had I would have been a fan of theirs from the beginning.
This is an absolute joy. Many thanks Phil!
Judith. A wonderful gift from Mother Nature.
Thanks for posting.
Thank you Proculled, from one Seekers junkie to another.
Hehe,ok,I admit I'm a Seekers junkie :)
Thanks for posting this treasure. There will be another group like the Seekers, and another voice like Judith Durham.
Such a joyful and satisfying song.
Thanks again for this wonderful treat.
Beautiful!
Thanks Judith: My Brain requested this again.
Agree, I need this almost every day.
the backing band here is fantastic

Yes, all three have this purity in their voices--like crystal--i would also add Linda Ronstadt.
This performance/rendition of the song is fantastic! This song should have rivaled their Tom Springfield hits in popularity, However their release version is so heavily over-produced that it is nowhere near as beautiful as this performance.
You're welcome, looking forward to that release myself. Some of their other releases have been of variable sound quality so one can hope this is better.
I first got to know this band in 1978, some ten years after they originally split with the tracks from the Hide and Seekers album. When my late father heard me sing Kumbaya, he started playing the record.
Judith and Sissel are the two. Thanks for sharing.
❤ I miss all of them
Back one more time for more Judith.
Thanks.
Back again for this Treat. Thanks.
Back for more Judith.
Thanks again.
Gentlemen and Lady God bless.
Thank You so much
@ajay999999 Judith will be 68 in July, Athol is 71, the other two are in between. And they did a string of concerts last month with Andre Rieu.
@iowa61 AMEN to all of that! I will be listening and watching for any possible reunion celebrations. The Seekers are the tops!
Yes, that's what I meant to say, thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Amazing....
Judith is okay if you like talent and professionalism and class and all that stuff.
Hopelessand Forlorn She's a typical Virgo Goat don't be so hard on her!
As someone who loved one the years have taught they can't help they way they are it is part of their make up.
I think he was actually paying her a compliment, in a backhanded sort of way.
I can't wait for the new tour with Andre this coming fall ... I hope you will be able to get it and post for us.... Ron TN
One minute here,no one has named her,her name is Judith Durham of the Seekers.Just in case some folks might have forgot. Ok,you can go on.
At least 3 people don't drink wine or appreciate good music!
