    People really take for granted the initial hurdle a complete beginner has to get past. The UI and terms really are overwhelming the first time you play, and I 100% recommend picking easy the first few campaigns to get space to learn and try stuff.

      Yeah I’m a 100 percent new player to this genre and haven’t even played many management sims or rts games due to being on consoles most of my life got a pc and saw the total
      War warhammer 3 trailer and loving Khorne from the table top I felt like I had to learn this game. I’m getting it slowly but I’m making sure I take other game breaks to not overwhelm myself at once. Luckily UA-cam I can listen to as I play other games (I also got endless legend and all its dlc ….:my plate is full)

    • @Srab23

      @@rykersixx If you find the game enjoyable it's really easy to hang in there even if things seem overwhelming at first. I remember staying up a whole night playing greenskins back when I was new, just being immersed and slowly trying get the hang of things in normal mode.
      You shouldn't need to force yourself to play just to understand how to play it. Like I said in my original comment, make sure you play on easy until you get a feel for things, or else the AI might show up and corner you while you're still experimenting.

      @@Srab23 right now the things I’m trying to figure out is mainly how to manually succeed at siege battles and campaign map things like “do I have too many armies?” . Right now I really like tomb kings but they seem to have a slower start than the other factions I tried. I’m mainly trying to learn before 3 so I can really dive into Khorne

    • @Srab23
      @Srab23 2 роки тому +3

      @@rykersixx Tomb king may or may not be newbie friendly but the most important part is that you think the faction you're playing is cool.
      The other things such as how to win seige battles and how many armies to field just comes with experience, and it wouldn't hurt to do some battles you would overwhelmingly win with an auto resolve manually if you're feeling insecure. Especially if you're trying out some new units.

    I've been trying to get into Total War for so many years, but these games are so overwhelming. I'm pretty good at games too. I just can't get pass the learning curve. I even bought Warhammer 1 and 2. Played for 16hrs and quit because I was so loss and it was taking too much time. I fear that I got old and now I don't have the time to learn it. I want to give it one more try. Wish me luck!

    • @agentnumberone
      @agentnumberone  2 роки тому +1

      Never too old to learn! Make sure to start on the easier difficulties and remember that losing is fun! You'll learn something new everytime you learn, and as you get better the game will naturally recommend turning up the difficulty mid campaign, so take your time and enjoy. Good luck!

    I just bought all three Warhammer Total War games from Steam in a sale, and I am simply to dumb to learn how to play it. I've started to look up videos like yours to help me understand how to control the armies. Warhammer Age of Reckoning was an MMO game i very much loved, and I have played Warhammer Return to Reckoning for many years. So I know the universe, just not the controls. Thank you for the video and trying to help people like me who are just not able to grasp the control elements of the game. You just got a new sub, I hope your channel is still active.

    What I realy like about Warhammer compared to other TW games is that every faction is unique with its own units, game mehanics, legendary lords, strategies and the first TW game that has combat magic system. I've beaten 3 campaigns with Empire, Dwarfs and Tomb Kings. Currently playing as Vampire Coast and its my favorite faction so far. I love haveing infantry and monsters holding the line while haveing a superior firepower kilking units from a far.

    Was playing my first tutorial run as Tyrion, dealing with damnable undead pirates raiding my port cities, until eventually I felt like I had a good footing and started my first ritual...only to have a horde of chaos puppets land upon my beaches and raze all but my capitol to the ground. I promptly turned the game off, questioned my aptitude, and came here to figure out what I was doing wrong. The Hammer and Anvil alone will give me much more chance in my next run....and not auto-resolving all my battles (im lazy).

      @simpicusmaximus 5 місяців тому +1

      @@justinlabrosse8506none of what you said made sense. Rome 2 dlc is dirt cheap and are either faction packs or entire Alternative campaigns that are literally an entirely different game. The dlc for Rome 2 is literally the worst case example you could have used because it is cheap, well done and offers a lot of value for price and you aren't forced to buy it since the base game retains all the original features of the campaign it isn't like paradox games like hoi4 and eu4 where each dlc is just a minor feature added for twenty dollars a pop. If you want to talk about bad dlc, talk to me when you purchased by blood alone for hoi4. Sega is the publisher not the developers, the developers are creative assembly which actually don't have a reputation of bad dlc at all lmao.
      Warhammer total wars are unlike the other total wars because it uses game workshop licensing so they can only publish at the prices games workshop allows. If you are upset with the prices for total war Warhammer games and dlc I would suggest complain to games workshop or stop being poor.

    Made 2 years before the crapstorm that was Total War Warhammer III's DLC and CA's PR fiasco.

    Is there a game that just has the battles and none of that other crap, next turn alliance with this dude, send an emissary here and there yada yada yada? I respect the games but why not just have two armies and if you win you get a new rating, like in chess and then you get better equipment and perks and then you do it all again, it would do well I think. These games are good but some of us don't t have the time but I love the battle part. It be a good game just battles

      Mount & Blade Bannerlord is probably the closest thing, but also still quite different. If you play it as a commander with some of the RTS camera mods it comes close to total war, but nobody really does the large scale battles in quite the same way

      Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. Sounds like what you want. The campaigns often have a little diplo and such like but it’s much, much simpler than this, and the Multiplayer works on ELO ranking, like in chess. If you want a taster before you buy there’s a UA-cam channel called T90 Official that shows games. Heres a link to a high ranked game ua-cam.com/video/qLjWTXokLYQ/v-deo.htmlsi=aJjDq02Xntwb3pUL

      @@agentnumberone You're doing a good job at least in your most recent video so thanks for the effort. Saying it at the end is the sweet spot.

    This tutorial already failed when it didn't explain the most confusing thing for all beginners, the vortex campaign and the Mortal Empires. An absolute beginner's guide needs to address the most fundamental and most confusing things for beginners. This jumped a little too fast to the faction selection screen. Slow down bro and explain the steps before that, like campaigns, battles and stuff.

      Only so much I can fit in a concise video, there's lots of 20-40min videos out there that explain everything in full detail.
