@@EvilSewnit Vinnie is a s modern as it gets. Anything he plays is fresh af. Why do you think he keeps getting voted the best "Modern Drummer" almost every year over and over again?? xD

He was front and center stage under the spotlight the whole show. Literally watching wood fly off his sticks like a wood chipper from front row. You can tell the double kick section at 3:00 is difficult because it's the only time he's not playing any ghost notes, but even that part is so clean I could eat off it
FJordn0TM or, what if he doesn't have any room for ghost notes considering he usually plays them in between bass hits, and there's like 5,000 hits in that section. lol
I mean it's by no means easy, but I think he's just choosing not to play ghost notes in that section to emphasize the bass drum pattern. Besides being a technical genius he's also very musical and plays to serve the song.

Interesting. Around 4:47 he swings past the left of the snare. I wonder if it's a syncopation thing to keep his timing. I've seen some drummers purposely hit their leg instead of the snare on weird parts where they feel like they MUST connect with something with that hand on that specific beat.
The experience of just listening without watching is equally as great. Although admittedly, I can't help rewinding to see how he can physically pull off much of this impossible stuff !
Why does he intentionally miss the snare a few time, like at 0:51? Only guess is the time sig is weird so it's just easier for him to swing and miss, than not swing at all.
You are my favorite drummer, I didn’t know you had a UA-cam until now. Love your style, how you don’t overplay the song, and still bring so much technical ability and style. Can’t wait for more music.
