Montech Air 903 Max (amzn.to/3UgxGwa)
Montech Air 100 (amzn.to/3w5aPcG)
*Just note that the Air 100 is a MICRO-ATX case and so you'd need to swap out the motherboard listed above for a micro-ATX motherboard. This could also cause problems with connecting all of the RGB fans and you may need fan and RGB splitters to make it work properly. - Ігри
I'm thinking about building this exact gpu/cpu setup.
very relaxing build video. i enjoyed it.
FYI the 7800 XT is definitely bottlenecked by the 5600. I did build it 2 weeks ago and wasnt statsfied. Upgraded to a 5800x3D and o boy does the performance skyrocket. I would not recommend that build, you definitely want at least a 5700x3D to make us of the graca.
The 5800X3D is $200 more than the 5600X. What would you downgrade in the build to fit it in?
@@TechGuided you should either pair a 7700 XT along a 5600 or upgrade both to a 7800 XT and 5800x3D for a more balanced system. With your combination you dont fully use the 7800 XT. Its doable in some games but in something like spiderman or star wars you only have 80% gpu usage which is really bad
The goal with the system was to build something that could get the maximum performance at 1440P resolution with a $1,000 budget. Obviously, you can't fit a 5800X3D and 7800 XT into a build at that price.
I don't know why you would choose to pair the 5600 with the 7700 XT with a $1,000 build and leave performance on the table, but maybe something like a 7600(X) + 7700 XT would be an interesting combo to compare to the 5600/7800 XT.
In any case, I have a Ryzen 5 7600 system, and by every benchmark I've seen, that should be a decent comp to the 5800X3D. So, I'll put the 7800 XT in that system and re-bench and see how big of a performance gain there is.
@@TechGuided because it doesnt make sense to build an INBALANCED systems. The money you spend on a 7800 is not worth it when paired with a 5600, its bad financial advice here. You can either save money for an awesome 1080p experience with a 7700 XT along the 5600 or you invest a little more and upgrade to a 5700/5800x3D with a 7800 XT. You build a gaming experience which neither hits the proper 1080p or 1440p value as it should be cause youre leaving money on the table not using the GPU fully for 1440p with to weak of a cpu. Its a bad mix between the cpu and gpu not using the budget correctly!
@@TechGuided the test along thr 7600 sounds awesome. Do it and make a video about it. Youll see a performance increase of at least 20% in some games because the 7600 is so much better than the 5600.
Thank you for the content.
Would you be able to run some benchmarks and show the GPU usage?
I did a full 17-game benchmark at both 1080P and 1440P resolution with this setup that shows GPU usage here:

i have around the same build i just built but i switched the gpu and cpu series basically. ryzen 7 7700x and rx 6700xt
I have the same case as this phanteks, but it is made by fractal and its white with no rgb. Other than that it is that case. 😊
is 650W power supply enough for this combo of cpu and gpu ??
No, the 7800 xt needs 750w (Gigabyte specify this on their product page). I recommend getting a 750w psu to avoid problems.
@@NickBergOne yeah , i just hoped that i could cheap out a bit and run a 650W psu but now that i know i cant i ll have to get a 750 psu
I think a high-end 650-watt unit would work---usually the manufacturer over recommends wattage to protect themselves and AMD/XFX recommend a 700/750-watt unit for the 7800 XT. But to be safe and to give you some headroom, a 750-watt unit would be a much safer option and it will give you more flexibility if you want to upgrade your GPU in the future.
@@NickBergOne i have a 600wpsu with this exact build and have been fine for months the rx 7800 xt does not "need" a 750
@@ryleelaking7882 you're running it under the recommended psu. Not really ideal by any means.
Joel it's you?
I have 5600 + 7800xt and i use 1440p gaming. My gpu usage is low in some games (ac odyssey %70-80) (rdr2 %70-100). How can i solve this problem. I take same performans with my old card 6700xt.
Use DDU in safe mode to uninstall your old graphics drivers and install them fresh, also make sure to reinstall your chipset drivers although I think they're bundled in. I have roughly an equivalent build and I get higher GPU usage than that so something definitely is up. Should be 90% or more at all times, sometimes it might dip a bit lower into the 70s or 80s for a split second but that's pretty normal behavior. Maybe try some other games first like Cyberpunk 2077? If you set it to Ultra settings you should see 95%+ utilization at all times usually. I can't really speak on RDR2 and AC Odyssey as I don't own them.
@@SOREI I already did what you said. If you want to check out the channel where I upload my game recordings, I leave the link. I also tried it on CP2077.
I know it sounds tough but the only real solution to this is to upgrade to a 5800X3D CPU. I upgraded from a 5700X, seemingly a smaller upgrade but it is so So noticable! Cant reccomend it enough
u can upgrade to r7 5700x3d its cheaper than 5800x3d and its not worth to get 5800x3d for 10 fps more for 60$
Hi what do you think of this pc build and is there anything you would change for better performance:
Case: Montech AIR 903
CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M D3HP
RAM: Silicon Power Zenith DDR5 32GB 6000 MHz
GPU: Radeon RX 7800 XT
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650 GT 80+ Gold
SSD: Crucial P3 Plus Gen 4 1TB NVMe
CPU Cooler: ID Cooling FROZN A410 Black
Psu
@@Harshit-nr5wb my thoughts exactly, id go for a seasonic 1000w for the upgrade path and amazing reliability, also i would personally never cheap out on a motherboard
I have the same CPU, still on the fence of GPU. I’m thinking 6700 xt, 6800xt or , 7800xt for 1440p gaming. Main games Diablo 4, Palworld, Counter strike, and overwatch.
CPU 5600x
Ram 32 3600
Psu 750
Think any of those GPUs would be good options for the games you want to run. Will be a solid build!
I have a 5600x and getting a 7800xt very soon, should i upgrade to 5800x3d? Or get a 1440p monitor since i only use a 1080p monitor, if so what refreshrate should i aim for? Thank you.
1440p 144hz. Using a 7800xt for 1080p is quite overkill and 5600x shouldn’t have much bottleneck
Upgrade the cpu, its worth it. The 7800 XT does get bottlenecked by a 5600. In some games its not noticeable but in something like star wars or spiderman were talking about a 20% bottleneck because your gpu is only used 80%
if i have a 5600x with a 7700xt at 1080p do i have to updrade my monitor to a 1440p? or am i ok with my 1080p?
Nope, you're fine sticking with 1080P. You can always upgrade to 1440P in the future.
I noticed the Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4 says it's platform is Windows 10. Does that mean I cannot run Windows 11 on it? I am trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC.
You can run Windows 11 on it. I have 11 on my system.
@@TechGuided Thank you so much.
@@TechGuided quick question, would I need something different if I was using the PC for Video editing and graphic design? Do you have a video on that ? Thanks again
Will it pair good with 5700x?
Yep, absolutely.
How would this pc do if you gooked it up to a 75inch 4k tv? Does the size of the tv matter or affect graphical power.
It depends on what kinds of games you want to play. For graphics intensive games, the 7800 XT isn't going to give you ideal performance at 4K resolution. You'd have to turn graphics settings down to get an acceptable framerate. If you're playing non-demanding titles, though, it would work fairly well.
Size of the TV doesn't matter, just the resolution.
very relaxing build video. i enjoyed it
