You made me think about protarus and give lanzorate a miss enjoyed your vlogs you are getting very popular and I hope you can continue best wishes from dublin
I love watching your videos you show everyone all the hidden gems that you come across and give us all a good idea of what it’s like in all the places you go to, very informative thank you Kevin x
Haven't been to Cyprus for years looks a lot more developed than in my day. Protaras was the end of the road then, stayed in a hotel next to wild land.
Was trying to decide where to go next year and finally settled on Protaras. It looks absolutely beautiful and close enough to Aiya Nappa for the water and theme parks and Nissi beach. Fig tree bay is supposed to be lovely as well, think you can swim with turtles. Can't wait to go.
Great video again Kevin. Pernera is a much quieter area but there are plenty of lovely restaurants and bars if you prefer a bit quieter than protaras of an evening. The polyxenia where you ended is outstanding and the beach bar is great if a little pricey. Most of those open and get busier a little later on in the day and the walk is more bearable late afternoon or evening without the heat 😅 we go end of April/May for 2 weeks each year as the heat is unbearable June through September! Hope you return as there is so much more of the area to explore, we are still finding new things even after 5 years of coming to Pernera/Protaras. Keep up the good work and safe travels home.
Cyprus in the summer is not like the heat in turkey. Temps peak in the low 90s and its rare they go over 100. Drops overnight to the mid 70s. When i have been there in in July we were getting highs of 30c to 33c and the same in early September. Its and island and they get a constant sea breeze. Inland will be a lot hotter. Nicosia will often be 40c but that is in the centre of the island. When i have been to Turkey we would often get 43c, but you dont get that in Cyprus around the coast.
Go in early July it is lovely then, even June, June has a nice breeze. October, the evenings can be chilli. Went 20th September one year never again, we had some rain and chilli winds, cold in the evening, swimming pools are cold at that time of year. That's why I like early July and early September. If you go back, I can recommend the Sunrise Gardens in Protaras.
Kevin that last place you saw with the free pool is where we have sunbathed every year in August since the late 90's. Loving your Cyprus vlogs as much as your tenerife ones (nearly) great content and commentary 👌
Been going to the Pernera area for years, love the place. Pernera centre itself is a lot smaller than Protaras but has a few bars and nice restaurants. If you walk another couple of miles up the coast you'll come to the border that separates the Greek side from the Turkish part and the UN buffer zone. Worth a look next time you're in Cyprus. From there you get a view of the deserted city of Varosha.
In among the decline and destruction of the West honestly the saddest thing of the day for me was wondering if you were ok after your fall. I assume so Kev. Keep up the good work. Considering Cyprus next year.
Your right by the Hotel we stayed in the Hotel Pascaliea there a little water park behind it but when we went none of that board walk was built but it looks amazing thanks kevin
Best times to visit protaras / pernera is may and september, may because its getting hot and september because is cooling down, there are some really good restaurants and hotels in pernera, it is quieter than the main protaras strip but in pernera your only 15 to 20 min walk into protaras main strip or 10 euro in a taxi, personally i prefer pernera and the smaller hotels. Ayia napa is 20 euro taxi away, we usually visit here 1 day of our holiday. You can also book trips over the border into varosha very reasonably priced for half a day or a full day, the border is now fully open and varosha is opened up quite alot if you like the history of cyprus. Paralimni is not too far away either. We got married in Cyprus and must say, the Cypriots have weddings down to a fine art they really do make your day special, viws fron st elias church up on the main road in protaras are unbelievable you van see for miles.
Dear Kevin, learn't so much about the resorts you've covered, can't get the info you gave me and me Mrs in a brochure. Its been invaluable mate. We are coming to Paphos 17 th Sep - 27th in the Kefalonitis Hotel Apartments, Paphos resort. If your around then, pint waiting for ye mate. Just going to work now, will buy ye a coffee in morning . Scouse Phil & Elly.
Flight times are the same from other U.K airports kev, I like the city breaks as well as yourself especially the ones close to the sea like malaga, lisbon or palma you get bit of everything.
Tbh i have bypassed a couole of your videoa because of the repetition of thumbnails. Sad day. Etc. You should just make a thumbnail saying exploring the beach front. Doing the strip. Because when i do have a look at ur video its not sad day, its a plot to get views when in reality you can just tell us the theme of the video which would be more appealing. Not a dig at all btw just constructive feedback.
