Ive supported Spurs since 1959 and haven’t seen a Captain with the qualities I’ve mentioned since the great ( and for me immortal) Danny Blanchflower . If he is made captain I would not only be thrilled, but have much higher hopes for the team as Deki would be inspirational!

Spurs have now had two senior players come out and very publicly backed the manager and directed their anger towards the board. The players are all locked in and they know they need support. Sack Ange now and unless you have a iconic manager in the winds then Spurs will hit a major reset button. And there will be no iconic manager in the shadows, as all those managers will now see that Spurs aren't committed to doing what it takes to compete on all levels.

One semi final (hanging in the balance), into 4th round of the fa cup and you’ve qualified for the knock out stages of the second tier of european football. With the last 16, quarters and semis before a final. Ie you’re doing ok so far in cup competitions.
