yo me too! Now that I'm used to headset and setting it up and wearing it correctly it's incredible. Nothing comes close and I can't get enough. I no longer feel any motion sickness and everything's super clear. So excited to have such an epic setup in my house. A dream come true for me
@@EyeForKnowledge.that’s crazy how you feel like it ruined gaming on a tv for you haha. I’m interested in buying the VR 2 since I’ve got a sim racing setup I’m just holding off mostly because of the price tag. Has motion sickness been a problem for you?
at first I didn't really understand why almost everyone was loving this and parsing this VR port. but after actually playing it I can finally understand why people love it
They have turned down the spray and any other particle effects during gameplay to stabilize performance and increase visibility...and it is the best VR game to date when you compare all aspects like the amount of content, replayability, sense of immersion, sound design, and graphical fidelity and to anyone who would say GT7 isn't a sim Racing game, can you name a single sim Racing game that has more realistic car handling than GT7 and still offers as many car varieties as GT7 with driving model that is very well optimized for controllers as well as Steering wheel??? It's easy to compare GT to ACC, iRacing, rfactor etc and say it's a simcade but the truth is, those games are running on engine that is heavily optimized for race car behaviors, GT on the other hand is Jack of all trades and pulls it off pretty well
But you gave the answer yourself, exactly for the reasons you described it's a descent simulator but not the best. Physics are the hardest part in developing a racing game, so it does matter a lot. And I am the type of guy who prefers like 5 cars which are exceptionally well simulated with oke graphics over 1000 decent simulated cars with beautifull graphics. I don't know why because I am really not an alien racer or anything, but I just like the idea and the thrill of trying to master one specific car. I also like GT7 a lot, it's still pretty realistic and a lot of fun a great combi indeed. But descent physics vs really good physics sounds like a small difference but it isn't. On the limit PC sims are much more dynamic and you really can implement different driving styles easier just like real life, you feel more the effects of different setups and so on. This explains why a lot of real drivers with training can actually compete against alien racers in PC sims. I don't think they can compete against GT7 alien racers, they would need even more time, because it's less intuitive for them. Lando Norris and Max Verstappen don't have a lot of free time but can challenge the best Iracers in the world. Max is probably one of the best Iracers in the world no joke, I don't think he can challenge as easily GT7 aliens. That's where you will notice the difference, but most of us are just casuals any ways. PS5 + PSVR2 + GT7 is a steal, my Iracing content is probably just as expensive and then they also ask a monthly fee, they sure as hell got me by the balls, that's only for the software I feel like a fool just writing it..;). And the worst thing is GT7 alien drivers would whoop my ass in Iracing with one day practice......lol, the talent pool is so big in GT7 the top guys for sure all transition well to PC sims and real life with some training. So yeah in the end it's an awesome deal you can't go wrong with GT7.
*PS* Kireth. 700PP LM 30 min race... once a day.... (tons of cars are eligible, even more when you are good at tuning so it's kinda nice as a daily warm-up + money boost
All cars should have been made available to purchase or win in some way. Manufacture events should be been added to the game, this would be a place where you could enter events, such as a Ferrari event for a chance to win a invitation to purchase one of the Ferrari's in Brand Central. The single player mode is severally lacking in events a year out, a peppering of events here and there been added since. All tracks from the beginning should have had all the common events, such as Sunday Cup, 4wd, turbo, NA etc., so no matter what car you pick from your garage there would be a race it could enter at every track.
So I'm still on the fence about moving from GT Sport to GT7. The main issue is the lack of a real single-player campaign. Right now, I'm enjoying working my way through the GT League in GTS. I can win cars relatively easily and then use those cars to complete make or drive-train-specific events. From what I've seen of GT7, single-player interest doesn't go any further than the Café Menu Books. I don't want to be railroaded into playing online just to keep the game going, I just want to enjoy the thrill of the drive in my favourite cars, in my own time. I wish PD would bring back some of the single-player magic that I experienced in GT3: A-Spec.
My favourite grinding method is with the Le Mans 700pp race and I do this not just for the credits, but also for the fun of it. I usually take a used car and get it close to 700pp, then see how well it can do. So yeah, I see what you're saying about the grinding, but I think that it can be fun if you're willing to make it fun.
I only started sim racing 7 months ago and personally I think GT7 is absolutely incredible! Maybe held back a little by ps4, be interesting to see what they do with the next one, hopefully in vr without the restraints of last gen 🤞
@@lancecardinal5399 Sad that Forza didn't turn out to be better than GT7 .. Though it's probably unfair to compare a game with 2 years of updates vs a 0-day release. GT7 is amazing though, so it's a pretty high benchmark.
one year later some positive changes occured, but lot of issues linked to PD's choices (which could be fixed in a day) are still there and don't appear to be changing anytime soon.
The new handling versus the old handling, I find it a split. Yes it's way easier now across the board, which makes it a little dull, but they did fix the issue with the mid-engine cars this past summer. Upon release, the mid-engine cars were totally undriveable, making them quite unrealistic. You could just be casually going around a mid-speed curve and the back of the car would go right around, even with a bunch of downforce in Gr.3 cars. It felt like you had racing tires on the front and comfort tires on the back. Glad they fixed that. Would love to see full Sophy integration, wayyyyyy more events and the events pay out properly based on difficulty and length, and for the love of all things... free up the engine swaps. I hate them being behind the roulette system. But those are my big three for future GT7 updates. Overall I love the game. It's a great and fun driving experience.
If they would do that in future updates, which I don't know if I should hope for it, GT7 would be my absolute dream racing game. The only thing that I would still wish but can live without is a proper damage model but thats not gonna happen anyway.
🤣🤣 was streaming the video via Mobile on the TV and later on i saw battery was low on screen ps5 controller 😆 and got the controller and put it to charge up 🫥 then i noticed the ps5 wasnt even on. Thank you Kireth🤓
one thing i want them to do is ask a professional drifter to do the drift trials/missions and give a detailed explaination on how to drift on that particular section because they are so difficult to complete
I get what you are saying about grinding and the Sophy AI making it more entertaining but those who do the grinding religiously do it for the maximum payout and therefor Sophy AI would be seen as a negative thing by then as they would no longer be guaranteed the maximum payout every time. Personally my grinding ended when I got the Platinum trophy and solely play for fun now, probably about a 60/40 split between sport mode and time trialing my collection of cars round my favourite tracks.
If you are playing solely for fun and trialling your car collect, I highly recommend picking up VR. I have been loving going through my car collection - the differences between them are made so much more amazing and interesting
Good vid. As someone who has been playing Assetto Corsa in VR for years at this point, I'm super happy with my PS5 and PSVR 2 purchase last week. I'm loving this game in VR. I've got what feels like hundreds of hours at this point in AC and Dirt on pc vr using a wheel and pedals (It gets exhausting after a while with the wheel), but as of lately i prefer the lazy approach of using the game pad and GT7 delivers that with great success.
One Year Later .... Roulette still holding content hostage..... Still too many canned races. Insanely limited solo mode. And tuning is still not exactly consistant with PP, and BoP continues to yeild meta cars. ....but VR is dope. Sophy was fun.
Apparently where the shadows are at is determined by where the player is at in this game, and the lighting suddenly changes poppingly. Objects also pop in and out of existence both on cars and in the background/distance. What I miss is both a startinggearindicator and a HUD-togglefunction to hotkey. Only much more important now that we have VR.
I haven't played this is probably 10 months. I wanted to wait a little while to let then add cars and tracks and see if they updated the career type stuff a bit more. And I'm very happy to see they did a lot of that. So I'm gonna do all the updates on this and get back on here.
The solo remains disapointing. Till they keep the unique race format where we have to begin at the last position, it will be annoying. The ia is stupidly slow down in order to wait us. Actual ia (not sophy) is able to turn quite fast on some track.
The gate-keeping on GT7 is terrible, especially the invitation system that relies on a lottery that is known to be stacked against players. It's entirely possible that I may never complete the extra menus/the game because I'm waiting for a Bugatti invitation that probably won't materialise - it makes me resent playing at all tbh.
one thing that wasnt mentioned is that they have increased the price of some cars... eg. 911GT1 went from $3 mil. -> $9 mil.... 1952 Mercedes 300SL race car went from $11 mil. - $20 mil... so I wouldnt want to start now given they put up so many barriers... I'm glad I started day one to experience the mess that is (was) GT7...
I think PS4 compatibility had an effect... To be fair, I didn't get my PS5 until September. Probably why number of cars on the grid had to be limited to 16, etc?
@Kireth very true. I'm just thinking of the more processor-intensive stuff added to GT7 over GT Sport, e.g. wind direction, more tyre smoke, dynamic weather (+ Ray Tracing & the new VR2 for PS5)
All gold and everything completed, but I have one more goal. Own every car in the game, I have 3 left. Porshe 917, Escudo, and the Ford Hotrod. Any chance they will come up again?
The only reason I would buy a PS5 is GT7, preferably with VR but I don't think it's worth 1500€ just for that, so for now I'm sticking with my high end PC (and last gen XBox).. hoping that Forza Motorsport will be brilliant.
If I had to be supercritical of PSVR2 and GT7's foviated rendering, it's that still get lots of POP-UP with trees on Circuit De La Sarthe (particularly in the rear view or ahead at the horizon). Even in VR Replay, the detail of cars magically appears at a distance of about 100 metres
I don't think the foveated rendering is fully optimized. The GT engine seems to handle dynamic resolution scaling pretty easily and that's what they base the foveated rendering on. Polygon draw distances and quality seem to be shortened by about 10 feet in front of your car, causing the pop-up. The foveated rendering clearly isn't optimized around poly counts.
As a casual driver (5000km and 100h in the game still... plus countless hours in the previous GTs), I still find that getting credits is a pain. Yes you have TT's now, but I don't manage to gold them. Yes you have CE, but golding most tracks is really difficult for me. You can get cars with the licenses, but same, it is very hard to gold them all. For the missions, some I just can't get bronze (3rd drift mission with the Mustang for example). The races with 1h of duration are just too long for me, it takes so much concentration for me that I don't want to invest so much time. So to Tokyo I go, with my glitched AMG GT Black Series, until it is patched. So I may be able one day to complete the trophies I have left. Graphics are amazing, handling is great (on a controller), this game has enormous potential, but lot of weird decisions by PD, that give the impression that they want to punish players or lower their enjoyment of the game. (Not thinking only about the wheel of despair here... invites, motor swaps, ridiculous credit gains in most of the events or even online...)
Tokyo is the harder grind racer imo. The best is le mans and Sardegna. Each one is half hour or less and are just way easier with more cars. Those 2 races alone get you 1.7 million an hour. I don't even think I've finished tokyo yet.
Kireth can you do an unbiased gt7 vs forza motorsports video? I want to get into sim racing but Iracing and ac and acc doesn’t appeal to me I have pc and play horizon 5 but I would get a ps5 cuz I think gt seems better but not sure, which is more realistic forza motorsports or gt7 today?
If only GT7's Online Multiplayer races was like F12019 and up.....we would all be VERY happy campers! F12019 had the "Ranked" and "unranked" online races...and both always had plenty people in to race....multiple rooms full and everyone was legit hardcore.....not idiots driving around the wrong way...or flying into everyone on the very first corner.... In F12019(my favorite one) If you wanted serious fun and close racing.....ya just jump into the "ranked" rooms and better have your game face on. And each race would keep up with how well you did...how many cars you hit...etc....and your F1 license would either drop or increase. Got too low, you would be back with the people who crash others on purpose. Very good way to weed out the beginners from the experienced..btw, the cars incredible! When you played it, you could tell it was a very well put together game....F12019 is a great Racing Sim! After F12019, they stopped including the Classic F1 cars and those were they best to race....the 2004 Ferrari is close to perfection and was my baby! I stayed with F12019 for a looong time...still get on from time to time ;) Maybe the best racing I"ve experienced...I have plenty of content here that shows my jam! ;)
i’m gonna get hated for this. but i hope gt becomes next gen only as soon as once gt7 spec II releases. it’ll be polyphony’s biggest chance to push the ps5 with more cars on the grid and better ai.
The credit structure is just NOT fun. Not to mention the Cafe'. You go get a car to unlock more "similar" cars, that are then shelved and forgotten. Just not fun. Like you said.. you spend sooo much time "not" having fun, to get enough to have some fun. It should rather be: Having FUN!! ..while those credits (and some cars) are racking up without you even realizing it... Because you're having fun! You know, earn credits, upgrade your car, earn more loop. Just my opinion.
8 titles in, 30 updates on the newest one. STILL NO DRAGSTRIP penalties havent changed in 3 releases - nor has damage. "But we added some worthless photography features, and 35 more miatas!"
How have you not gotten 20 million credits at this point in the game? I got something like 40 million credits from just the circuit experiences and the challenge races.
All I play anymore is sport mode everything else is disappointing imo, I don't thinks this one is great, the rewards are trash i.e. Srcewlet tickets, legendary car store is a joke, single player is not fun, Vr is the only thing keeping this a float at this point, this is just my opinion.
This will continue to be the common theme - simulation too tough for younger generations. If working for a fake car is too tough, good luck owning a real one.
Bought it couple of days ago and have no intention of playing it anymore after the short shitty cafe menu story constantly getting ripped off by the roulette tickets nah man I'll wait till October and play a good racing game Forza.
The game is a prologue version of the GT seven we were promised so that it could be played on PS4's. It was all a scam. We all got ripped off influencers that don't talk about all the horrible things with GT seven don't deserve to be heard from the AI to online play to micro transactions and absolutely simple fetch quest content it's a turd. It was a turd when it came out and it's a turd now and to try to justify anything good about this game is ridiculous. This was not the game that I was promised it's not the game that I paid for and Sony does this because we all had to sign an agreement saying we couldn't sue them or they would brick our PS fives the state of the industry is simply horrifying. Influencers with a voice, however responsibility and not a single one of them is standing up to the stage the way they should.
I have both 9th gen console's and in my opinion it would be unfair on GT7 to compare it FH5 as FH5 is nowhere near as boring as GT7 and looks much better graphically in it environmental details. A much fairer compassion would be 2017's FM7 vs 2022's GT7 because they look very similar in graphical quality and are both crap and boring for different reasons.👍🏻

@@scottd7222 I do it easily with the above mentionned car, 1 pit stop, 26min without taking any risks with the backlapers. 825k Cr "easy" money.
Has the game has improved? Yes. Is it fun? Yes. Am i still pissed the haven't added proper endurance races for Gr 1, Gr 2 and Gr 3? Yes. 😅
I really enjoyed this year of GT7 👍
I agree
Gran Turismo is the absolute best sim racing game ever made despite its flaws
Big statement!!
If Sophy AI makes it in, and then there was a way to have full race weekends with qualifying... just dreaming probably.
Wait, what? They took away the weather?
Everywhere you goooo
What are the chances of them releasing a gt7 tourist trophy mode...bikes in vr2 surely would be great 👍
That would break the Internet 😅
The credit structure is just NOT fun. Not to mention the Cafe'. You go get a car to unlock more "similar" cars, that are then shelved and forgotten. Just not fun. Like you said.. you spend sooo much time "not" having fun, to get enough to have some fun. It should rather be: Having FUN!! ..while those credits (and some cars) are racking up without you even realizing it... Because you're having fun! You know, earn credits, upgrade your car, earn more loop. Just my opinion.
Breaks my heart.
8 titles in, 30 updates on the newest one.
STILL NO DRAGSTRIP
penalties havent changed in 3 releases - nor has damage.
"But we added some worthless photography features, and 35 more miatas!"
There is drag racing in the game tho!
How have you not gotten 20 million credits at this point in the game?
I got something like 40 million credits from just the circuit experiences and the challenge races.
I've gotten way more than 20mil credits
@@Kireth
Then go out and buy that McClaren and enjoy it.....🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
What on earth is a McClaren?
@@Kireth
Too many c's.....😳🤣🤣🤣🤣! MCLAREN......YOU KNEW WHAT I MEANT!🤣 THE 20 MILLION CREDIT CAR!
40 million is like what 2 legendary cars? If you want to collect all cars you need lile 430million credits.
Does gt7 have a single player campaign like gt sport yes or no?
Yes
Yes
Good because I'm buy gt7 in a few days for ps4
I subscribed
yes bro
All I play anymore is sport mode everything else is disappointing imo, I don't thinks this one is great, the rewards are trash i.e. Srcewlet tickets, legendary car store is a joke, single player is not fun, Vr is the only thing keeping this a float at this point, this is just my opinion.
Perfectly valid opinion! 🙌🙌🙌
@@Kireth I still have fun with it. They should have had Sophy on release
@@Therubbersluggchannel things like sophy Will tanke time
Love the game but the career is really lacking, just give us a gt4 style of career
This will continue to be the common theme - simulation too tough for younger generations. If working for a fake car is too tough, good luck owning a real one.
Yikes! Never realised that people still you chase cam.
Can't help to think about the person in the race being "O. Gay"
So GT7 is arcade now?
👍!
Thanks Dwarf!
Why play on wheel in 3rd person tho!?
I'd buy a working contact penalty system DLC.
This game makes Forza 2023 look like recycled cash grab
Credit sysytem in this game is ludicrous
We still need more higher paying races and more tracks.
More credits!
The stiffness though
GT7 has been held back by the ps4 peasants.
That driving view is so lame.
