All tracks from all games should be Imagine if Sony allowed GT to be staffed like a COD game. I am done with the obsessive controlling dude that created it. He is just keeping it stagnant and unfinished and have the nerve to charge so much for it as if it's a work of art. I complain too because he's on the board at Sony and they have NO OTHER racing SIM cades like this because of favoritism/protectionism. Remember what they did to DriveClub? And that one was more arcadey.
@@dragons_red Racing games have to deal with licensing. They lose licenses for tracks and cars, which is why old games get delisted and newer games are missing things from previous games.
I’ve never paid any for mtx and I have loads of cars, including 1 million + credit cars. Sounds like you aren’t good enough to win races and constantly come in last
If PD want the game to thrive, they need to add more tracks and more events that pay 800K. Instead, they’d rather go the opposite and give us events that pay 50K, give us 3 pointless cars and no new track.
We need to get out of the notion that they will get it right in the next game, they right now they have all the tools to fix whats wrong with the game currently, beyond issues of obtaining license for cars & tracks, they can restructure the career mode, creating a whole new second season without menu cards, add new levels 51-100, revamp the economy, massively increase the number of events, bring back manufacture events, new championship races, add endurance races (longer than a single hour), either do away with car invitations or make them a prize for winning certain events such as a manufacture event, increase the payout on custom events. This has become Lucy, Charlie Brown and the football, always hoping the next time.
Game is incredible and I say this as a long time fan of GT since its first installement. Its the best one by far. The wallriding and divebomb days are over, for the better.
I been playing this game since 1997. GT7 is fine but if they deliver on their original promise. Going back to basics it can still be great. They need treat it as two games. Camping mode and sport mode.
The game is good, but I don’t understand ignoring generations of vehicles while over saturating the game with other models. Not one Camaro/mustang/firebird from 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s. Not one. These cars were in the game since gt1. The updates are mostly a joke and even insulting. If they’re working at all, they’re withholding the content. What are you on about? The game feels very much whole, with a decent progression and a great amount of cars! Just because they don’t have the best selection of muscle cars doesn’t mean is a bad game.
I am grateful for this game. I play it in vr and the feel of stock cars is really good now. Stock Ferrari 348 driven well can be rewarding like so many others. Motor swaps are a dream. The realism of vr brought the game to a new level. Ps5 load times are fast as well. Fantastic game.

That was a great video! Was really nice to have the timeline of the game presented step by step so that we could see its evolution since launch. That said, I totally agree with everything you said, and I feel the same. It's also worth mentioning that you've come a long way as well :) I've been following you pretty much since day 1 and your content/channel has vastly improved over those 2 years. This game has been a major disappointment in my eyes. It was supposed to be the "grand daddy" of the series, and we've got drip fed content ever since launch with the exception of the Spec 2 update.
That thanks to Sony i am afraid, they are making those decisions, outside of spec ll update their has been a couble of other big updates like the vr update last year was fantastic to,single player is not great witch is putting the game down a bit but everything else is pretty much an upgrade to previous titles, if pd can just make a proper single player for gt8 and we proably now sophy will be fully integreted, and we will have a mindblowing experince we are almost there
I love the game. I do complain about the time spent bringing every 911, skyline, etc, when there are so many more desirable cars but I do love what’s in the game. I wish they would at least bring back all the old tracks from past GT iterations.
I LOVE this game. I still can't get over how detailed and beautiful literally every single aspect of the game is. I, like most, would love to see more cars, definitely some more of the older tracks, but I also seem to be one of a small group that actually appreciate the time and detail put into these cars. It's incredible. GT sure seems to get a lot of hate but no one out here is making videos on just how incredible it is we have a group of humans capable and willing to put this much time into a game that inevitably will be dead at some point in time. I've been with GT since the first title, and the fact that they were the first to bring a real VR racing experience to console is feat in itself. I don't play GT without VR, and even after having the PSVR2 since launch, it still blows me away every single time I fire it up. I'm looking forward to GT8, and hopefully they have learned what people really don't like and apply it accordingly.
The people spending hard-earned cash don't want 'sometime never -in the future' you'll get the game you were expecting when you bought this one. GT7 should be the thing that was promised. Not something lacking in most areas with shill UA-camrs pretending a 'weekly challenge' of old boring races is a 'game changer' (as we got told at the time)

If not, it's not a whole new game, it's just a wide-angle view of the same old drudge. No car should require more than two and a half to three hours of play to earn enough to buy it. Drop the prices or increase the prizes, either way I don't care, but the cars need to be more readily accessible, it shouldn't be a full-time job, it supposed to be a game, it's supposed to be fun.
@@ollycollie sounds like a skill issue. I race competitively so no I don't do the same 4 races and I have well over 50 percent of the cars and 1200hrs of game play.

You’re right. The game isn’t perfect but I do find it to be a good time to just relax and play the WTC 700 at Le Mans for that money. Your Evo III AND Evo IX tunes have made that race pretty fun. I think the tune for the Evo III is the best one, though. Lol
I still use the Evo 3 all the time, absolutely love that car, a pleasant surprise for me considering it made it as my number 1 post launch car of the year 2023
Every single time I see it in selection I get it. A limited opportunity to buy a car I don’t have money for / don’t want it / or worst case, already have it. Honestly this “system” needs removal forever.
Ya know...I understand that a lot of people want more tracks. But honestly I think a lot of the noise about it would be placated if they just USED the tracks already in the game. They currently use MAYBE 20% of the available tracks and that is just ridiculous. We see the same few tracks over and over every couple of weeks. When was the last time they used Goodwood? How about St Croix? I am personally tired of seeing Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Bathurst. Give them a rest and actually use the other tracks in the game.

as someone who builds Stock Cars (LMS and Vintage) I am seriously pissed off that I cannot have one and lap the Nurburgring as GT5 and GT6 allowed me to. I really wonder why so many iconic cars are not in the game as well such as the Del Sol, CR-X, 323, Protege, Talon, Tiburon, Fox-Body Mustangs, just to name a few They should release a "Legacy Package" which contains models from GT5 and GT6
Instead we have 10 variations of same generic Toyota or Honda. But in total how many unique cars? Many opportunities wasted. Heck there isn’t even a Peugeot 206. And don’t get me started on tracks variety..
The cafe menus are stupid, and now I have a garage full of cars that I hate because I "need" them to get to level 50. That said, I love playing this game! I just miss the telemetry available in the early games like G forces and tire temps.
I'm considering getting a GT game for the first time since the first game. Can you explain this? Do cars have levels? Does that make them faster and have better handling? If so, that makes no sense.
@@M98747No, it’s not like Forza. Collector levels are based on the cumulative value of your garage. You need to have purchased $13m credits ro reach level 50, but it doesn’t really impact gameplay. Basically all useful parts are unlocked for every car immediately (unlike Forza). This was my first GT since GT4 (been a Forza fan until recently), and I would say that this is best sim I’ve played since FM4, and it’s prob a more rewarding experience than even FM4. Can’t recommend it enough, even if there are things that the game could improve
@@M98747 No, the cars themselves don't have levels, just different mods and tunings through the mod shop. The way you progress through the "story" mode is by collecting groups of cars as assigned by the dude who runs the coffee shop, and certain aspects of the game unlock as your car collector level increases. The collection level increases by one point per 1,000 credits spent on buying the cars, or their value if they are gift cars. (engine swaps unlock at level 50, other stuff unlocks at level 5 and 10, etc). The cafe assignments don't get you to level 50 on their own, however, and you need to dump a ton of your winnings into buying cars.

Great vids. I just don't know why nobody talks about how gt7 is still Online Only. It's their biggest misstep imo. 130+gb and full price for an Online Only game doesn't leave a good impression. Hiding Microtransactions until after launch was a bit disheartening too.
It sucks but I don't think it's going to change with any games, not just GT7. It seems that they're treating it as a copy protection scheme to reduce piracy. If you have a physical copy they even check your drive every few minutes to make sure the disc is in there. They're paranoid AF.
ive been a simracer for years now on PC and ive played all the GT games growing up, GT7 is an almost perfect blend of sim and casual racer, there's less difference between GT and Assetto than there is between GT and need for speed yet its fully playable on a wheel or pad, and the cars have enough fidelity and detail to differentiate between models and give you an authentic feeling of that car. Its the best handling racing game I've ever played imo. but i agree everything surrounding the racing has been a step down since like GT5 sadly
i have about 2500 hours on this game since launch, not to mention 700 hours on a ps4 when i had to sell my ps5 for money at one point, i think it's safe to say i enjoy this game and i still play daily on the ps5

I don't know why they're focusing on Gran Turismo 8 already when there's not really been any leap in technology or graphics and there are still so many things (cars/tracks/new features) they could just add to this one 😕
Probably because 7 is a ps4 game. In fact, due to Sony leaks, we know internally GT sport was called GT7 prologue. Hence why 7 graphically and physics wise hasn’t had a huge jump (like 3&4 or 5&6)
Career mode is awful, the much hyped weather is barely used as for night races forget it, add to that 16 car lobbies and the lack of variety in race classes and only three races a week its the worst GT I have played and I have played them all apart from sport, PSvr2 a great addition, Sophie less so, the game has plenty of decent tracks that are under used PD need to start adding weather and night races to each of them, hopefully GT8 will address these and become the game that this promised to be.
It's still running in some shape or form so I didn't want to include at its peak since it's still essentially in the game but absolutely a great time before the nerf
The game is a lot better now, still room for improvment, but i think they will do something this month for the update maybe not as spec ll update but i think its going to be a bigger one than february, gt8 Will most likely be revealed mid 2025, and hopefully pd learns their mistake with single player aspect but with all work going in to sophy it would make sense for them to have a more proper single player in gt8
Hello guys! GT7 is really disappointing me. Being every month waiting for them to throw us a bone of mediocre content that in a couple of hours becomes meh... the SPEC II update, although welcome, in retrospect the game should have come out with those features, it doesn't change the fact that I feel that The game has no “soul”. And since I heard/saw the rumors that Forza may come to PS, I couldn't help but think again that that is the only game that made me hesitate to switch to Xbox. That's why I've been looking at details and features that Forza has that I would like Gran Turismo to consider including. -the presentation and interactions with the car. Being able to see the car inside and outside freely, being able to open doors and the hood, being able to turn it on and rev the engine in the garage, is essential for me. -The car in Forza feels “alive or full of power”, the car vibrates and moves according to the vibrations of the engine when it revs, and in addition the muffler also vibrates. -The customizations are deeper and better. Being able to choose the depth and size (considerably increasing the width) of the tires independently front and rear is great! In GT7, most Muscle Cars lack that presence of the rear tires. -Having someone to talk to you on the radio is something I also miss from Project Cars 2. A chief mechanic who has some interaction in the middle of the race would be great. “You have so much fuel left” “The tires are still cold” “Push harder because they are catching up to you” “You are so close to the leader” And this is where it comes in that the GT7 does not have a campaign or career mode!! The cafe menu should have been extra content or DLC, there is the cafe menu should have been the monthly updates that we are having now. ACTUAL PROBLEMS -custom races are great but the opponents you choose are always on DEFAULT TIRES. -Spoilers are an issue that has bothered me since the game came out. There are many cars that, although they have a rear stock spoiler, do not have any Downforce, the SuperBird and the Camaro are the ones that come to mind. And the worst of all the examples is the Ford Sierra, from stock it has that impressive spoiler but no downforce, and if you buy one of the kits it is the same spoiler but you remove part of the spoiler and now it has downforce… BRUH!!! -The camera inside the cabin is very close to the steering wheel. PLEASE allow the camera to move more, move it 15cm back and 5cm up (in more serious cases). -Allow to turn on the dashboard lights at will, many cars in the shade I cannot see the RPM well. (i play without hub for greater immersion) -The race information would have to be dynamic, there would have to be an option that if you activated, every time I pass the starting line, it shows lap time, position and remaining laps, and after a few seconds the information fades away automatically. Or better yet have an option for the hub information to appear and disappear with the press of a button, when playing without a hub, it is difficult to know what position I am in or lap times or time compared to other opponents, and having to pause the game To activate and deactivate the hub to see the information, break immersion. EXTRA FEATURES and CARS (wish list) -widen the car only the rear part of your choice (cough MUSCLE CARS) -Be able to install an RPM counter and update the cars dashboard. Some cars, after modifying engine components, increase the RPM range but the dashboard does not reflect that, and it is essential to make the shift in the corresponding range. The speedometer happens the same. It's not that annoying but being able to update it or put a custom dashboard would be great. An RPM counter with shift light would be the best they could give me. -Customize the interior, change the seat and steering wheel for sports ones. Please. Changing the color of the interior would be great. -Have a garage or workshop where you can park some of our cars, The crew 2 has a “physical” place to show and see your cars. right now we have a house or garage in game that can be seen when you do nothing for a long time (as if it were a screen saver). Well, let me use that garage as a place for this purpose. Or after reaching level 50 you can buy the warehouse of legendary cars and use them in the way I am proposing. -Be able to independently “paint” parts with carbon fiber. -RENAULT clio williams ‘93 -Renault IKA Torino ZX -Skyline GT-R’s 50 wins -Mazda Rotary Coupé Racing SPA '70 -MITSUBISHI eclipse gsx '99 -VW Golf GTI VR6 MK III and MK IV -Fiat Punto HGT Abarth '03 -Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake '14 -Ford Escort MkI mexico 1600GT -Daihatsu Charade GTti '93 -Suzuki Swift GTI '98 -Chevrolet Chevelle SS -Pontiac GTO '66 -Buick GNX '87 -Lamborghini Gallardo -Lamborghini Sesto Elemento -Koenigsegg Agera R -Caterham Seven -Ford Falcon V8 Interceptor Mad Max Thanks for your time. Gt7 have it flaws for sure but its miles a head of the new fm, customize options specially visual parts is superior in gt7, yes its missing the option of wider tyres, drivetrain swaps, drag tyres like forza has, but overall it has more customize options than forza, you can even make the exhaust look different witch you cant in forza, and the car models in forza is terrible specially for cars thats been recycled from older games, gt7 models is always top notch, most of the updates has been very lacking in gt7 yes, but at least they are not going for quanity over quality witch forza is doing, i was hoping fm could put some pressure on gt7 but i dont see that happening any time soon With how turn 10 really drop the ball with fm, and the thing with look on you cars freely will be better in gt7 considering you can play it in vr, nothing ever beats that immersion, vr showroom is better version of forza vista, walking around the cars in the amount of detail pd puts in will always be a lot better for immersion
fair point I agree that GT7 has better graphics and ray tracing and attention to other details that Forza does not... but honestly the closer to reality the graphics want to be the more work and the more time it takes to work on the game, I prefer more content and less graphics... the graphics of the PS3 are more than enough, for me. There are many games out there now and games that are going to come out with hyper-realistic graphics but they are going to last 4 or 6 hours of gameplay. @@alejandromunoz9451i take quality over quanity specially now when we know the car models is so good and detailed, and they could just keep building it so the car number Will just grow from now on, But i can agree that pd could at times make other selection for cars than they have, ex instead of tts coupe in last update they should have added Audi rs6 avant witch also was premium in gt5 and gt6 so the amount of work should be the same, their is still a good chance we get a big update in march to celebrate 2 years anniversary, the single player aspect could be much better that is something i 100% agree on
@andreasmoller9798 I too prefer quality over quantity. I believe it helps the immersion, which is what games are all about. You want to forget you are playing a game, even if it's just small moments. GT7 in VR can give you this feeling, and I'm here for it. Every single time I fire it up I can't help but play for 4 or 5 hours, and I don't have time to be doing that lol
hey guys, I could say that quality of content is different from quality of graphics but I'm getting off topic. The root of my frustration with the game is that I have nowhere to "complain" because beyond being a fan I am also a costumer; For example, in Monster Hunter, the 3 times I contacted Capcom by email, they responded me in a couple of hours and 2 of the 3 times they solved the problem (the 3rd time was my problem). SABER on the loading page game you have the email for problems in Snowrunner. In GT7 beyond this channel and Gtplanet I don't feel like they listen to me. And again, I know that they are not going to give me the game I want but at least give me something to improve the quality of life of the game, the most serious problems have been there since the game came out and I think they are easy to solve... -the downforce of stock rear wings of many cars doesn't exist. -In custom races, opponents start with default tires. -The POV camera is very close to the steering wheel. -The HUB information would have to be dynamic. thank you for listening/reading me (LOL)!!
Also, I've been going back and playing gt6. My PS3 died shortly after it came out and I had some life changes so I never got more than like 20% done.but over the last month, I've got just over 50% and been playing almost daily again.
So what I'm getting from this video, is the game is good and the gameplay is second to none, but in it's 2 year life cycle, it lacks content and the developers fleeced it's player base at every opportunity it could to make more money. I'm glad I watched this review, because I've been dying to buy this game, but I can't get behind a game that's been out for 2 years, and it's still lacking content. GT 5 is better than this game content wise. GT 5 may not beat it for overall polish and graphics, but it kills it for just content available, massive amount of cars, used market cars, GT auto section where you can re-oil your cars, tonnes of single player content and tracks, A spec and B spec, special events that added to even more content the game already had like the Mercedes Academy, Sebastien Loeb Rally, Nascar..... The list goes on for 5 to be honest, and it doesn't cost £30 upwards to play. PS3's are waaaay cheaper than PS5's nowadays too, and obviously the PS3 doesn't stand up to the 5 in terms of overall quality and performance, but at least you won't be buying PS3 titles that are full of DLC patches and micro's. Quickly Lost interest in the Game as I'm mainly a Singleplayer GT Fan and This Game is Basically a GT Prologue Release with Expanded Online Multiplayer For me it's the 2nd Worst Gran Turismo Numbered Release after GT6
The economy talk reminded me of the crew too, which I came too late and was very excited about it because I love the crew one only to find them constantly pumping out new cars. It looked amazing, but the only way you would achieve getting them before they went off the marketplace Was to grind eight hours a day or spend money to get credits. I completely agree that when these games push you to buy things with real money, it’s terrible but it’s even worse when they put them on the marketplace for such a short period of time I immediately uninstalled that game.
From GT Sport onwards GT has been piss poor. I'm not talking about the physics or graghics.. They are outstanding. They have always been several steps ahead visually. Talking of poor i feel ever so poor in this game. As a casual racer everything exceptional seems out of reach, and the manufacturer permission tickets are a poke in the eye along with the fake roulette prizes. Where are the daily log in bonuses or daily events they had in GT6? Only recently have we been able to take part in weekly races, which can be done in one sitting most of the time!?! GT Sport at the beginning was completely hollow, soulless but eventually it had alot of content so why is there less now in GT7? GT used to be a Main Game in your collection. Not anymore. It really feels like a showcase/coffee break/stepping stone game. Such a shame.
Been playing GT since gt2. This is the most hyped GT game since GT5. Its amazing to see how the first few games is crushing GT7 is so many ways. The single player is short and boring in every way, and the game design in many ways is broken. GT7 have no soul and is not fun for fans that have played this series for 20+yrs. I dont belive PD can make a good GT game anymore but I hope im wrong. This game is dead already
Let’s be honest the greatest effort they have put in is to stop money making glitches. They fix those in a week tracks nah they don’t have time for that.
When i found out that cars from 2001 and forward would be available, i was seriously bent out of shape. No muscle cars really got me. I bought gt sport and was like WTF is this? The cars i wanted to see where '06-'12 crown Victoria '90-'94 Dodge Shadow and more muscles. This does not encourage me.
The core gameplay (racing cars on tracks) is fantastic, but the rest of the game is quite shallow. It feels like GT Sport 2 rather than a mainline entry
I've noticed several times in your race selection menu, there's not an option for "quick race". I've noticed this with a few others as well. I was just curious at to why yours, and others don't have the Quick Race option?
You forgot to mention the biggest money glitch after spec 2 was released, 5 million dollars an hour let 😊me go from owning 67 percent to 100 percent of the cars!
it would be interesting to find out how much has been spent on microtransactions. They could do with more Sophy races. I rarely race online anymore as rammers are still cancer. I know all the gt fanboys will disagree but there you go iv said it. Its about time they added multiclass racing as well even if its only on offline mode.
After a year a manage to get all the legendary cars, after 2 years I'm 37 cars short, most of them 1 million each. I can't get the invite to get the Porche Carera GT....
They seriously need to sort out the racing AI, i'm sick of doing GT race events, or any event for that matter, and if you're bunched up and have a computer AI right behind you, good luck when they rail road you, make no effort to drive round and go straight through you, tailing your back end. Literally just tried the Daytona Clubman Club Plus, immediately after starting, 2 attempts at the race, and this is just straight after the start of the race, ie the straight section, the computer AI just drives through my line and spins me out before the 1st corner, and i'm not getting in front of them/cutting them up, im ahead, driving straight in my line no worries, then the computer out of no where just flicks your tail out and you're completely fkd. It's digustingly bad, and don't get me started on the uneven penalties/general balancing of the game, when you hit those last few events and don't have enough credits for a suitable car/upgrades.
Well July 2024 update will make this game the very best racing game. GT8 will be in 10 years or something...so don't look at that. New physics, sophy 3.0 new cars, tracks, racing modes, updates etc will make this game perfect! This game is a single player game so it don't have "life cycle". It will be there to enjoy for years. Last great Gran Turismo was in PS3 or PS2 era? Don't count this old games... Look at graphic here in GT7, physics, weather conditions, Sophie etc. They will continue to support this game for years & even after this game will be complete & let you feel the very best racing game. And who knows of GT8 will be for PS5/PS6 or PS6/PS7?
I am still humbled how peoples manage to get angry at a thing that isn't forced. My god roflwaffle has explained perfectly that micro transactions had absolutely nothing on what the game really messes up and we still don't listen. I fucking hate what gamers these days become. Everytime I run this game my Ps5 sounds like it’s dying, makes my console overheat the graphics are actually awesome the annoying part is you have to grind for an hour just for 1 decent car, unless you have a lot of free time and I mean a lot don’t bother with this game. After hitting level 50 it becomes repetitive AF
Bought the game 2 weeks ago. Glad I did. I skipped all of the “controversy” and didn’t buy the game until I felt like polyphony deserved my money. Two years it took. Favourite cars in my inventory are the Ferrari Tributo, Nissan Nismo and the free supra race car from the menus. The tomahawk is too ridiculous to drive 😂😂😂 Love it in its current state - surprised at all the cry babies throwing their toys out the pram because the game won’t give them every car they ever wanted and 1 million credits per race for coming in last Never spent anything on silly mtx
This game is great but one big issue. Online requirement. Recently my internet had issues for 20 mins during an offline race. I finished the race but because i had no internet it didn't count and i had to redo the race. It's an offline race with bots why do i need internet. I am done with buying games with online requirement if they don't have a good reason to have it
does this still have them stupid rolling starts where cars are miles away from each other? its one thing that really annoyed me because standing starts are so much better by PD seems to not be able to do them
Okay so I got a question how come they do not have newer cars in the game like how come they don't have 2024 cars or 2023 cars or 2022 cars I don't get it is it really that hard to add those😢

Still a useless game without an online connection. I got it on launch, returned it, later got a cheap used copy which was untouched until I had internet just before the spec 2 update which was good timing I guess. Since then I have to say I enjoy it as long as I'm connected, we just need to wait until GT8 then PD may finally make this playable offline like they did with GT Sport which they should have made at launch, greed before buyer/player enjoyment is not good.
Definitely not enough reward for playing sport mode you waste 20 minutes just waiting for the game to start then the race is another 20-30 minutes only if you come in a top 3 position to earn less than 100k?? Makes 0 sense

Love this game but I have no reason to play. Won all the races, have all the cars, have all the wheels and 100 000 000 credits. Turn it on once a month to play an update that lasts 30 minutes if I'm lucky!
Always the most bizarre response I see from players, just because something is 'free' doesn't mean it can't be criticized for adding next to nothing if an update is bad, it's bad. Regardless of a price tag or not. Criticism only fuels better content free or paid for that way devs know what works and what does to provide a better product. @@dragons_red Racing games have to deal with licensing. They lose licenses for tracks and cars, which is why old games get delisted and newer games are missing things from previous games.
Personally I prefer quality over quantity.

We need to get out of the notion that they will get it right in the next game, they right now they have all the tools to fix whats wrong with the game currently, beyond issues of obtaining license for cars & tracks, they can restructure the career mode, creating a whole new second season without menu cards, add new levels 51-100, revamp the economy, massively increase the number of events, bring back manufacture events, new championship races, add endurance races (longer than a single hour), either do away with car invitations or make them a prize for winning certain events such as a manufacture event, increase the payout on custom events. This has become Lucy, Charlie Brown and the football, always hoping the next time.
Game is incredible and I say this as a long time fan of GT since its first installement. Its the best one by far. The wallriding and divebomb days are over, for the better.

I been playing this game since 1997. GT7 is fine but if they deliver on their original promise. Going back to basics it can still be great. They need treat it as two games. Camping mode and sport mode.
The game is good, but I don’t understand ignoring generations of vehicles while over saturating the game with other models. Not one Camaro/mustang/firebird from 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s. Not one. These cars were in the game since gt1. The updates are mostly a joke and even insulting. If they’re working at all, they’re withholding the content. The game still feels incomplete and overall, feels like a let down. If I’m wrong, please respond. Also, check out my responses below. I love the discussion.

What are you on about? The game feels very much whole, with a decent progression and a great amount of cars! Just because they don’t have the best selection of muscle cars doesn’t mean is a bad game.
The level of detail that goes into creating a car in gt7 vs prior versions is astronomical. We need to keep that in mind!
I am grateful for this game. I play it in vr and the feel of stock cars is really good now. Stock Ferrari 348 driven well can be rewarding like so many others. Motor swaps are a dream. The realism of vr brought the game to a new level. Ps5 load times are fast as well. Fantastic game.
Only just got myself a ps5 a couple weeks ago and I'm loving this game!!

This game has been a major disappointment in my eyes. It was supposed to be the "grand daddy" of the series, and we've got drip fed content ever since launch with the exception of the Spec 2 update.
That thanks to Sony i am afraid, they are making those decisions, outside of spec ll update their has been a couble of other big updates like the vr update last year was fantastic to,single player is not great witch is putting the game down a bit but everything else is pretty much an upgrade to previous titles, if pd can just make a proper single player for gt8 and we proably now sophy will be fully integreted, and we will have a mindblowing experince we are almost there

I love the game. I do complain about the time spent bringing every 911, skyline, etc, when there are so many more desirable cars but I do love what’s in the game. I wish they would at least bring back all the old tracks from past GT iterations.

I LOVE this game. I still can't get over how detailed and beautiful literally every single aspect of the game is. I, like most, would love to see more cars, definitely some more of the older tracks, but I also seem to be one of a small group that actually appreciate the time and detail put into these cars. It's incredible. GT sure seems to get a lot of hate but no one out here is making videos on just how incredible it is we have a group of humans capable and willing to put this much time into a game that inevitably will be dead at some point in time. I've been with GT since the first title, and the fact that they were the first to bring a real VR racing experience to console is feat in itself. I don't play GT without VR, and even after having the PSVR2 since launch, it still blows me away every single time I fire it up. I'm looking forward to GT8, and hopefully they have learned what people really don't like and apply it accordingly.
The people spending hard-earned cash don't want 'sometime never -in the future' you'll get the game you were expecting when you bought this one. GT7 should be the thing that was promised. Not something lacking in most areas with shill UA-camrs pretending a 'weekly challenge' of old boring races is a 'game changer' (as we got told at the time)

Does VR take away the need to grind the same four races over and over for fourteen hours to unlock a single twenty million car? If not, it's not a whole new game, it's just a wide-angle view of the same old drudge. No car should require more than two and a half to three hours of play to earn enough to buy it. Drop the prices or increase the prizes, either way I don't care, but the cars need to be more readily accessible, it shouldn't be a full-time job, it supposed to be a game, it's supposed to be fun.

You’re right. The game isn’t perfect but I do find it to be a good time to just relax and play the WTC 700 at Le Mans for that money. Your Evo III AND Evo IX tunes have made that race pretty fun. I think the tune for the Evo III is the best one, though. Lol
I still use the Evo 3 all the time, absolutely love that car, a pleasant surprise for me considering it made it as my number 1 post launch car of the year 2023

Ya know...I understand that a lot of people want more tracks. But honestly I think a lot of the noise about it would be placated if they just USED the tracks already in the game. They currently use MAYBE 20% of the available tracks and that is just ridiculous. We see the same few tracks over and over every couple of weeks. When was the last time they used Goodwood? How about St Croix?
I am personally tired of seeing Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and Bathurst. Give them a rest and actually use the other tracks in the game.

as someone who builds Stock Cars (LMS and Vintage) I am seriously pissed off that I cannot have one and lap the Nurburgring as GT5 and GT6 allowed me to.
I really wonder why so many iconic cars are not in the game as well such as the Del Sol, CR-X, 323, Protege, Talon, Tiburon, Fox-Body Mustangs, just to name a few
They should release a "Legacy Package" which contains models from GT5 and GT6
Instead we have 10 variations of same generic Toyota or Honda. But in total how many unique cars? Many opportunities wasted.
Heck there isn’t even a Peugeot 206.
And don’t get me started on tracks variety..
The cafe menus are stupid, and now I have a garage full of cars that I hate because I "need" them to get to level 50.
That said, I love playing this game! I just miss the telemetry available in the early games like G forces and tire temps.
I'm considering getting a GT game for the first time since the first game. Can you explain this? Do cars have levels? Does that make them faster and have better handling? If so, that makes no sense.
@@M98747No, it’s not like Forza. Collector levels are based on the cumulative value of your garage. You need to have purchased $13m credits ro reach level 50, but it doesn’t really impact gameplay. Basically all useful parts are unlocked for every car immediately (unlike Forza).
This was my first GT since GT4 (been a Forza fan until recently), and I would say that this is best sim I’ve played since FM4, and it’s prob a more rewarding experience than even FM4. Can’t recommend it enough, even if there are things that the game could improve
@@M98747 No, the cars themselves don't have levels, just different mods and tunings through the mod shop.
The way you progress through the "story" mode is by collecting groups of cars as assigned by the dude who runs the coffee shop, and certain aspects of the game unlock as your car collector level increases. The collection level increases by one point per 1,000 credits spent on buying the cars, or their value if they are gift cars. (engine swaps unlock at level 50, other stuff unlocks at level 5 and 10, etc).
The cafe assignments don't get you to level 50 on their own, however, and you need to dump a ton of your winnings into buying cars.

Hiding Microtransactions until after launch was a bit disheartening too.
It sucks but I don't think it's going to change with any games, not just GT7. It seems that they're treating it as a copy protection scheme to reduce piracy. If you have a physical copy they even check your drive every few minutes to make sure the disc is in there. They're paranoid AF.
GT7 has a campaign/story mode. GT Sport was online only.
Garage cars aren't accessible nor most circuits when offline.
The always online has been talked about so much already when the game launched no point of bragging about now

ive been a simracer for years now on PC and ive played all the GT games growing up, GT7 is an almost perfect blend of sim and casual racer, there's less difference between GT and Assetto than there is between GT and need for speed yet its fully playable on a wheel or pad, and the cars have enough fidelity and detail to differentiate between models and give you an authentic feeling of that car. Its the best handling racing game I've ever played imo. but i agree everything surrounding the racing has been a step down since like GT5 sadly
i have about 2500 hours on this game since launch, not to mention 700 hours on a ps4 when i had to sell my ps5 for money at one point, i think it's safe to say i enjoy this game and i still play daily on the ps5

Probably because 7 is a ps4 game. In fact, due to Sony leaks, we know internally GT sport was called GT7 prologue.
Hence why 7 graphically and physics wise hasn’t had a huge jump (like 3&4 or 5&6)
Is gt7 perfect? Nope.
But it’s the best iteration of the franchise to date!

Love the game but the solo mode is a bad joke.
It is what you make of it. I enjoy it more than getting rammed online by 12 years olds.
Career mode is awful, the much hyped weather is barely used as for night races forget it, add to that 16 car lobbies and the lack of variety in race classes and only three races a week its the worst GT I have played and I have played them all apart from sport, PSvr2 a great addition, Sophie less so, the game has plenty of decent tracks that are under used PD need to start adding weather and night races to each of them, hopefully GT8 will address these and become the game that this promised to be.
Forgot to mention the Abarth glitch and circuit experience bonus with 1.42. Expected it after the 2 T-Hawk mentions. Great history lesson though.
It's still running in some shape or form so I didn't want to include at its peak since it's still essentially in the game but absolutely a great time before the nerf

The game is a lot better now, still room for improvment, but i think they will do something this month for the update maybe not as spec ll update but i think its going to be a bigger one than february, gt8 Will most likely be revealed mid 2025, and hopefully pd learns their mistake with single player aspect but with all work going in to sophy it would make sense for them to have a more proper single player in gt8
Hello guys! GT7 is really disappointing me. Being every month waiting for them to throw us a bone of mediocre content that in a couple of hours becomes meh... the SPEC II update, although welcome, in retrospect the game should have come out with those features, it doesn't change the fact that I feel that The game has no “soul”.
And since I heard/saw the rumors that Forza may come to PS, I couldn't help but think again that that is the only game that made me hesitate to switch to Xbox. That's why I've been looking at details and features that Forza has that I would like Gran Turismo to consider including.
-the presentation and interactions with the car. Being able to see the car inside and outside freely, being able to open doors and the hood, being able to turn it on and rev the engine in the garage, is essential for me.
-The car in Forza feels “alive or full of power”, the car vibrates and moves according to the vibrations of the engine when it revs, and in addition the muffler also vibrates.
-The customizations are deeper and better. Being able to choose the depth and size (considerably increasing the width) of the tires independently front and rear is great! In GT7, most Muscle Cars lack that presence of the rear tires.
-Having someone to talk to you on the radio is something I also miss from Project Cars 2. A chief mechanic who has some interaction in the middle of the race would be great. “You have so much fuel left” “The tires are still cold”
“Push harder because they are catching up to you” “You are so close to the leader”
And this is where it comes in that the GT7 does not have a campaign or career mode!! The cafe menu should have been extra content or DLC, there is the cafe menu should have been the monthly updates that we are having now.
ACTUAL PROBLEMS
-custom races are great but the opponents you choose are always on DEFAULT TIRES.
-Spoilers are an issue that has bothered me since the game came out. There are many cars that, although they have a rear stock spoiler, do not have any Downforce, the SuperBird and the Camaro are the ones that come to mind. And the worst of all the examples is the Ford Sierra, from stock it has that impressive spoiler but no downforce, and if you buy one of the kits it is the same spoiler but you remove part of the spoiler and now it has downforce… BRUH!!!
-The camera inside the cabin is very close to the steering wheel. PLEASE allow the camera to move more, move it 15cm back and 5cm up (in more serious cases).
-Allow to turn on the dashboard lights at will, many cars in the shade I cannot see the RPM well. (i play without hub for greater immersion)
-The race information would have to be dynamic, there would have to be an option that if you activated, every time I pass the starting line, it shows lap time, position and remaining laps, and after a few seconds the information fades away automatically. Or better yet have an option for the hub information to appear and disappear with the press of a button, when playing without a hub, it is difficult to know what position I am in or lap times or time compared to other opponents, and having to pause the game To activate and deactivate the hub to see the information, break immersion.
EXTRA FEATURES and CARS (wish list)
-widen the car only the rear part of your choice (cough MUSCLE CARS)
-Be able to install an RPM counter and update the cars dashboard. Some cars, after modifying engine components, increase the RPM range but the dashboard does not reflect that, and it is essential to make the shift in the corresponding range. The speedometer happens the same. It's not that annoying but being able to update it or put a custom dashboard would be great. An RPM counter with shift light would be the best they could give me.
-Customize the interior, change the seat and steering wheel for sports ones. Please.
Changing the color of the interior would be great.
-Have a garage or workshop where you can park some of our cars, The crew 2 has a “physical” place to show and see your cars.
right now we have a house or garage in game that can be seen when you do nothing for a long time (as if it were a screen saver). Well, let me use that garage as a place for this purpose. Or after reaching level 50 you can buy the warehouse of legendary cars and use them in the way I am proposing.
-Be able to independently “paint” parts with carbon fiber.

Gt7 have it flaws for sure but its miles a head of the new fm, customize options specially visual parts is superior in gt7, yes its missing the option of wider tyres, drivetrain swaps, drag tyres like forza has, but overall it has more customize options than forza, you can even make the exhaust look different witch you cant in forza, and the car models in forza is terrible specially for cars thats been recycled from older games, gt7 models is always top notch, most of the updates has been very lacking in gt7 yes, but at least they are not going for quanity over quality witch forza is doing, i was hoping fm could put some pressure on gt7 but i dont see that happening any time soon With how turn 10 really drop the ball with fm, and the thing with look on you cars freely will be better in gt7 considering you can play it in vr, nothing ever beats that immersion, vr showroom is better version of forza vista, walking around the cars in the amount of detail pd puts in will always be a lot better for immersion
fair point I agree that GT7 has better graphics and ray tracing and attention to other details that Forza does not... but honestly the closer to reality the graphics want to be the more work and the more time it takes to work on the game, I prefer more content and less graphics... the graphics of the PS3 are more than enough, for me. There are many games out there now and games that are going to come out with hyper-realistic graphics but they are going to last 4 or 6 hours of gameplay. It doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

GT7 in VR can give you this feeling, and I'm here for it. Every single time I fire it up I can't help but play for 4 or 5 hours, and I don't have time to be doing that lol
hey guys, I could say that quality of content is different from quality of graphics but I'm getting off topic.
The root of my frustration with the game is that I have nowhere to "complain" because beyond being a fan I am also a costumer; For example, in Monster Hunter, the 3 times I contacted Capcom by email, they responded me in a couple of hours and 2 of the 3 times they solved the problem (the 3rd time was my problem). SABER on the loading page game you have the email for problems in Snowrunner.
In GT7 beyond this channel and Gtplanet I don't feel like they listen to me.
And again, I know that they are not going to give me the game I want but at least give me something to improve the quality of life of the game, the most serious problems have been there since the game came out and I think they are easy to solve...
-the downforce of stock rear wings of many cars doesn't exist.
-In custom races, opponents start with default tires.
-The POV camera is very close to the steering wheel.
-The HUB information would have to be dynamic.

Also, I've been going back and playing gt6. My PS3 died shortly after it came out and I had some life changes so I never got more than like 20% done.but over the last month, I've got just over 50% and been playing almost daily again.
"GT7 is officially 2 years old, older than the Fortnite player base" let me go get my jacket on right now cause that was cold 🥶
So what I'm getting from this video, is the game is good and the gameplay is second to none, but in it's 2 year life cycle, it lacks content and the developers fleeced it's player base at every opportunity it could to make more money.
I'm glad I watched this review, because I've been dying to buy this game, but I can't get behind a game that's been out for 2 years, and it's still lacking content. GT 5 is better than this game content wise. GT 5 may not beat it for overall polish and graphics, but it kills it for just content available, massive amount of cars, used market cars, GT auto section where you can re-oil your cars, tonnes of single player content and tracks, A spec and B spec, special events that added to even more content the game already had like the Mercedes Academy, Sebastien Loeb Rally, Nascar..... The list goes on for 5 to be honest, and it doesn't cost £30 upwards to play. PS3's are waaaay cheaper than PS5's nowadays too, and obviously the PS3 doesn't stand up to the 5 in terms of overall quality and performance, but at least you won't be buying PS3 titles that are full of DLC patches and micro's.

The economy talk reminded me of the crew too, which I came too late and was very excited about it because I love the crew one only to find them constantly pumping out new cars. It looked amazing, but the only way you would achieve getting them before they went off the marketplace Was to grind eight hours a day or spend money to get credits. I completely agree that when these games push you to buy things with real money, it’s terrible but it’s even worse when they put them on the marketplace for such a short period of time I immediately uninstalled that game.
I love GT Sport, it's a lot of fun and very rewarding. I kept waiting for GT 7 to get "good", but it's a clumsy, boring grind. Such a shame.

From GT Sport onwards GT has been piss poor. I'm not talking about the physics or graghics.. They are outstanding. They have always been several steps ahead visually.
Talking of poor i feel ever so poor in this game. As a casual racer everything exceptional seems out of reach, and the manufacturer permission tickets are a poke in the eye along with the fake roulette prizes.
Where are the daily log in bonuses or daily events they had in GT6? Only recently have we been able to take part in weekly races, which can be done in one sitting most of the time!?!
GT Sport at the beginning was completely hollow, soulless but eventually it had alot of content so why is there less now in GT7?
GT used to be a Main Game in your collection. Not anymore. It really feels like a showcase/coffee break/stepping stone game. Such a shame.
Been playing GT since gt2. This is the most hyped GT game since GT5. Its amazing to see how the first few games is crushing GT7 is so many ways. The single player is short and boring in every way, and the game design in many ways is broken. GT7 have no soul and is not fun for fans that have played this series for 20+yrs. I dont belive PD can make a good GT game anymore but I hope im wrong. This game is dead already

When i found out that cars from 2001 and forward would be available, i was seriously bent out of shape. No muscle cars really got me. I bought gt sport and was like WTF is this?

The core gameplay (racing cars on tracks) is fantastic, but the rest of the game is quite shallow. It feels like GT Sport 2 rather than a mainline entry
I've noticed several times in your race selection menu, there's not an option for "quick race". I've noticed this with a few others as well. I was just curious at to why yours, and others don't have the Quick Race option?
You forgot to mention the biggest money glitch after spec 2 was released, 5 million dollars an hour let 😊me go from owning 67 percent to 100 percent of the cars!
it would be interesting to find out how much has been spent on microtransactions. They could do with more Sophy races. I rarely race online anymore as rammers are still cancer. I know all the gt fanboys will disagree but there you go iv said it. Its about time they added multiclass racing as well even if its only on offline mode.

They seriously need to sort out the racing AI, i'm sick of doing GT race events, or any event for that matter, and if you're bunched up and have a computer AI right behind you, good luck when they rail road you, make no effort to drive round and go straight through you, tailing your back end.
Literally just tried the Daytona Clubman Club Plus, immediately after starting, 2 attempts at the race, and this is just straight after the start of the race, ie the straight section, the computer AI just drives through my line and spins me out before the 1st corner, and i'm not getting in front of them/cutting them up, im ahead, driving straight in my line no worries, then the computer out of no where just flicks your tail out and you're completely fkd. It's digustingly bad, and don't get me started on the uneven penalties/general balancing of the game, when you hit those last few events and don't have enough credits for a suitable car/upgrades.
It need more urban/non motorsport tracks

GT8 will be in 10 years or something...so don't look at that. New physics, sophy 3.0 new cars, tracks, racing modes, updates etc will make this game perfect!
This game is a single player game so it don't have "life cycle". It will be there to enjoy for years. Last great Gran Turismo was in PS3 or PS2 era? Don't count this old games... Look at graphic here in GT7, physics, weather conditions, Sophie etc. They will continue to support this game for years & even after this game will be complete & let you feel the very best racing game.
And who knows of GT8 will be for PS5/PS6 or PS6/PS7?

I am still humbled how peoples manage to get angry at a thing that isn't forced. My god roflwaffle has explained perfectly that micro transactions had absolutely nothing on what the game really messes up and we still don't listen. I fucking hate what gamers these days become. Everytime I run this game my Ps5 sounds like it’s dying, makes my console overheat the graphics are actually awesome the annoying part is you have to grind for an hour just for 1 decent car, unless you have a lot of free time and I mean a lot don’t bother with this game. After hitting level 50 it becomes repetitive AF

Favourite cars in my inventory are the Ferrari Tributo, Nissan Nismo and the free supra race car from the menus. The tomahawk is too ridiculous to drive 😂😂😂

This game is great but one big issue. Online requirement. Recently my internet had issues for 20 mins during an offline race. I finished the race but because i had no internet it didn't count and i had to redo the race. It's an offline race with bots why do i need internet. I am done with buying games with online requirement if they don't have a good reason to have it

Still a useless game without an online connection. I got it on launch, returned it, later got a cheap used copy which was untouched until I had internet just before the spec 2 update which was good timing I guess.
Since then I have to say I enjoy it as long as I'm connected, we just need to wait until GT8 then PD may finally make this playable offline like they did with GT Sport which they should have made at launch, greed before buyer/player enjoyment is not good.

Love this game but I have no reason to play. Won all the races, have all the cars, have all the wheels and 100 000 000 credits. Turn it on once a month to play an update that lasts 30 minutes if I'm lucky!

Always the most bizarre response I see from players, just because something is 'free' doesn't mean it can't be criticized for adding next to nothing if an update is bad, it's bad. Regardless of a price tag or not.
Criticism only fuels better content free or paid for that way devs know what works and what does to provide a better product.
