Oh what a treasure chest Sue! To see families still using the tombs is heart warming. And witnessing the decay aboveground is a great example of the process below I think. Thank you so, so much for sharing this special place with us all. Deb of Oz XXX
Amazing find, Sue or anyone spot the pair of shoes next to the crypt 23:06, its incredible to see how these coffins held up over time all these years, great start 2024 .⚰
I love the bucolic charm of these olden crypts and graves. Its very obvious that these precious souls were deeply loved, even after their passing on. It shows in the lovely writings and carving designs on each of the stones. I appreciate the respect and kindness you both express for the souls in their resting places. I wish I were there to see it for myself. God bless from Oklahoma U.S.
I think this has to be one of my favourite places you’ve visited What a fantastic cemetery So lovely to see those passed have not been forgotten & are still loved & remembered Thanks Sue & Cathal ( GV ) What a privilege to watch God Bless 🙏🏻
It's so true, we buried someone very close to us and this made it easier to deal with the grief we felt, even visiting the grave, I know he's not there anymore but we feel him around us all the time
Beautiful countryside and graveyard. The vaults reminded me of little cottages. I also got a New Orleans vibe. I really liked how some of the vaults were painted and decorated.👍
That is a really cool cemetery Serenity Sue and Grave "Vegetation's", LOL I caught that part , I got a good chuckle. You two are the Best!!! God Bless You!!!
Jaysus! Your great how you find these places. I love mausoleums and can never seem to find many no matter where I look. I love your channel, I made a list of all the cemeteries you visited with mausoleums and have a little bucket list now! This is a very unusual looking place!
A really excellent video. I am watching this at bedtime and am finding it difficult to turn it off and go to bed. So absorbing and educational. The average visitor to Ireland would not see all the things you are showing us.
Absolutely amazing video Sue. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. You have some amazing grave yards in Ireland. I’m going to have to arrange a trip to see them.
Love your channel. I have been to Ireland twice (not nearly enough). Fell in love with the scenery, the age and the wonderful kind people there. I can't figure out how to leave you a tip. If you have time, let me know so I can buy you a cup of coffee.
What a great find for my son and I as we sit down with our Fish & Chips dinner! Another magical fairy place where everything is looked after. There could be little Leprechauns or Hobbits also taking care of those little house masoleums. What I love the most is so, so many have fresh flowers and items attended to each grave. And the fact that later generations have already secured new tablets with fresh readable names of all the deceased there is wonderful. That is why I have to go to Northern Ireland to replace the headstone on my grand-parent's and great grand-parent's grave. The headstone has cracked and broken and in need of replacement. I will also bury my parent's ashes and add their names to the new headstone. Great video! I loved it Suzanne! 🇮🇪♥️🙏🇺🇸
Oh Janet, I never realised your grandparents and great grandparents are in Northern Ireland, that's feels so special. What a great thing you are going to do ❤️
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I promised my Dad that I would go over and fix it before I died. So I am adding my parents which will make it three generations and I will write down that it was erected by the seven Kirkwood girls. My maiden name is Kirkwood. Kirkwood (Scottish) for church in the woods. My Mother's maiden name was Kingston. Cathal found a masoleum in the Kingston name I think in Bristol and you found a Kingston plot somewhere in southeast Ireland near you. The Kingston's were Catholic, the Kirkwood's Presbyterian. The Catholics won out!
Hi Sue. I love how there is a neighborhood made up of mausoleums, crypts, and vaults in the cemetery. I think the coolest are the thatch roofs and the painted buildings. It always amazes me as to how green the grass always is in Ireland. Take care and God bless you both.

What an amazing cemetery 🍀 When it’s my time I’m getting buried..My mum told me growing up that Catholics we’re buried more than being cremated.Awesome vid Sue
One of the most interesting cemeteries I’ve seen on your channel. Looking out over all those thatched roofs makes it appear to be a little village. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Thank you! Ireland is beautiful! You and your companion's accent is lovely. I just found your videos lately. Always been fascinated with death. Most people say it is morbid but I don't understand that. We are all going to die so how can you not be interested.
This cemetery is totally awesome! It is great seeing some of the mausoleums being restored. The others, probably the families have passed away. It was sad seeing some of the coffins fall apart because of the effects of age and weather. Thank you very much for straightening out the American flag that you found, I do appreciate that. I wonder what is the story behind the flag being there? This was a great walking tour, thank you very much Sue and GV. Have a great weekend. 😊
@SerenitySueGraveyards Thank you very much for getting back to me. I am sure, that there are a lot of veterans over here, that will also appreciate you and GV doing that. Tell you what; I visit a few cemeteries in the year, usually around our memorial day holiday. If I should ever come across a fallen Irish flag, I will do my best to straightened it out, for you. Take care.
Awww Sue thank you for taking us there its beautiful. I love the little "cottages" for the loved ones. The Irish in me is filled with appreciation for you and your videos. Lots of love to you and yours always 💖💖💖💖💐💐🧚♀🧚♀
Great video. Love the country surroundings - so beautiful! I have no idea what 'holy wells' are??? Nothing like that here in Canada. Thanks for another great adventure. God bless!
Aussie Pete here again...That's an amazing grave yard with the old crypts covered in ivy... really enjoyed this one... the hole in the top of the skull looked very suspicious to say the least... once again enjoyed and keep safe
What an amazingly beautiful place! I believe it was at the Mc Dermott tomb, that I noticed that the wife's name was before her husband's. That's quite rare, especially for the early 1900's I'd suspect. Sue, have you and "Grave Vegitations" (yes I caught him saying that!) been to New Orleans? I'm still fairly new to both your channels, so I wondered if you two had been? I'd LOVE to know what you two thought of it. 💛 God bless you both, and as always, thank you for sharing!
All your videos are superb. Thank you Sue and GV. I’ve never heard of a Holy Well before. Interesting!! I’m from Northwestern, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 in a small town of 8000 people. We only have 1 cemetery and it only has in ground graves. No vaults, mausoleums, no above ground tombs, nothing interesting or unique. It’s a pleasure to be seeing all these places with you two. Thank you. Much love♥️♥️
ETA: I just finished watching the whole video and just wanted to say great video as usual, beautiful graveyard. Love from 🇨🇦 15:31 Same, I used to be scared of death and dead bodies a lot but I found that confronting my fears by watching videos like this and others when viewing dead people(real dead bodies which you can find online) I came to accept it. I even wanted to become an embalmer, however where I live it's only a small town and when I emailed the funeral home to ask if it was in demand he responded that it wasn't, so I decided to not do the course. Anyway I want to thank you and Grave Visitation for filming the inside of the mausoleums, including the skulls and bones/remains as I truly believe it helps other people as well to come to terms with death. As for the mausoleums, I think it shows that maybe being buried is better since in 100+ years after your death no one is going to remember you, visit and take care of your "death house" unless maybe it's a really big mausoleum that future family members can be entombed in, then there will be people caring for it for many generations which I guess would be pretty cool to know when you die you'll not only be entombed with your parents, grandparents and great grandparents but also your ancestors. Over time they should remove the bones from the oldest remains' big coffins to place them in smaller containers then you can keep adding more people of the same family in it.
We talked to a man in a video which will be out soon, anyway he told us he'd buried his mother last October and he had the task of moving his dad's remains over to allow his mums coffin to go inside. I did ask how he felt and he said, " it's sad to see and have to do but I know dad's gone and now my mother is with him forever" I too am very interested in funerals and embalming, think it's a job I'd like, you being the last person to give respect to them and get them ready for Heaven
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Oh wow that is very sad. Too bad he didn't have someone else to do this for him like a graveyard worker. At least he can take comfort in knowing his parents are reunited together 🥰
Definitely quite the find! But it’s just a tad too crowded for me. The idea of home for eternity, fits well in these places. That was a surprise to see the American Flag, nice to know they were not forgotten. Tc and stay safe and ty for the video.
A very spooky cemetery. You are right about New Orleans but it’s not as crowded. I wonder who mows the grass roofs. I wouldn’t fancy looking in the tombs. You are very brave. Thank you for the video.
It really looks like New Orleans cemeteries. Especially the blue mausoleums. It must be difficult to dig those the graves so close together , not to mention walking around them. Stay safe ! Thanks for sharing !
Thank you, yes I found it difficult to walk around here but as the local told us , everyone walks on the graves that's why so many are flat stones, so people can easily access them, I'm not sure I like that idea. So we walked beside them on the edge
Hi sue Steve from England Just viewed your post. These tombs look like tiny bungalows. Really unbelievable construction. Do they still build these tombs. I am amazed I have never seen anything like it . I think this is going to be hard to beat. No church it was awesome
1:30 am and should be sleeping but I found another of your videos and couldn't go to bed without watching it. I'm impressed by the respect you show. Also, Thank you for respecting our flag. Please be careful walking around like you do and Thank you for taking us along.
I didn't realise so many didn't know what it was and for that I apologise, I should have explained better...its a well with water that's blessed and dedicated to a saint. Some holy Wells are used for cures such as warts or headaches. You can bring the holy water home and use it to bless yourself. Usually they have a statue of the virgin Mary or another Saint there
I’ve never really been to a very very old cemetery but I’ve seen some pretty old ones here from early 1800s, thank you so much for sharing your experience ❤❤❤❤

Thank you both for another beautiful place. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi sue Steve from England Just viewed your post. These tombs look like tiny bungalows. Really unbelievable construction. Do they still build these tombs. I am amazed I have never seen anything like it . I think this is going to be hard to beat. No church it was awesome
Just ruins of the church Steve, I've another video coming soon, similar tombs

I wonder if Eliza Keane was related to Brendan Behan. The writer/poet? Her nee name was Behan? Fascinating place! Thank you both!

Hello from Texas. Great video! What is a Holy Well? Thank You ❤
I didn't realise so many didn't know what it was and for that I apologise, I should have explained better...its a well with water that's blessed and dedicated to a saint. Some holy Wells are used for cures such as warts or headaches. You can bring the holy water home and use it to bless yourself. Usually they have a statue of the virgin Mary or another Saint there
