The trip ends here. Like most fishing trips this was a serious eye opener. It's crazy to think that fishing this good is only a few hundred miles away from my backdoor. After getting swerved by GT's for 4 days straight it makes me wonder why I even left the states in the first place..

Yeah, that was the shit, for sure!!! I was trying to figure out what kind of fish those were at first and then realized they were mackerel, when I saw the stripers feeding. Absolutely awesome!!!!

im from Alaska and dont get impressed much with fishing in the lower 48 but id take a flight to the northeast to do some of this..this looked epic.. like the best day during a salmon run but with fish that are even more aggressive. very cool that you guys have this out there.
Just to let you know action like this is rare, it’s usually a grind to get quality striper from shore like this. But you should definitely come down and get a guide

You should go fish for golden dorado or taimen
So a Siberian giant trout is taimen in english.. Taimen means brown trout in finnish.

I've been trying to catch stripe bass in the sf bay for about a year now and never caught one lol
Look up a guy named sharkmanhd (I think). He catches stripers in California, see if you can recognize the spots he fishes.
I do well in spring/fall, i would recomend emeryville pier, halibut to, and point pinole, use frozen chovies and swimbaits

The striper fishing where I live,East TN, Knoxville area is like that almost year round below Fort Loudon and Melton Hill dams. It is awesome, 40-50lbs are common here, in my opinion the TVA has the best landlocked striper fishery in the country.

They can live in freshwater as well...the saltwater stripers spawn in freshwater.. research it.

they actually do, they just aren't as fierce as the travelling salt water stripers. They don't have to run against the current or be chased by seals and travel from the floridas all the way close to New England, so naturally they are much much more powerful than the ones found in the lakes. Maybe they do have in knoxville but i will refuse to admit they are as powerful. They may just be fat pigs.. like them damn catfish and/or the grass carps.
