Nice walk through countryside& lovely little grotto, can’t wait to see those temples in part 2, be careful what you walking over just in case there is an open well.
@@EnglishmaninMalta yes, very nice to see those places we perhaps wouldnt see otherwise, we all get a bit worried about you at times out in the wild on your own! Have a good afternoon.
Hi Steve. Great video to watch mate good history cracking views. You going to some amazing areas steve well done .Keep them coming.Have yourself a pint of cisk well deserved mate 🍺👍👍
Great video Steve 😃 thank you so much for sharing. A shame you couldn’t get into the temple this time. It was a great view up by the cross 😍 I also loved the harbour sunset 🌅 at the end of the video 🥰
I visited the Ghar Dalam cave a couple of years ago well worth the visit, while well into the cave my mobile phone went off a message from my daughter and yet there are places over here where I can't get a signal.
Well done again Steve, it's always great to see the sun and the blue sea, and you too of course, I have been taken to Ghar - Dalam caves by the school many years ago, have a nice day, see you soon.
In that same valley there is a remains of a Roman Villa called ta Kaccatura it is very interesting site to give to your viewers , Hope you can do that ,Great job you are doing showing our Island . You must love the place, Thanks a lot . M. Fsadni.
WOW Steve another place I didn`t know existed , interesting about the cart tracks , I watched a program on the Smithsonian Channel the other day about the Giganti Temple and why it was suddenly abandoned , the upshot was that they had no idea , plenty of theories but absolutely no certainty .
Great video Steve, have you ever walked the Dar Ta Pultu Trail ? it's not far from where you were. It's a nice walk while it's still a little green before the summer heat. Cheers
We walked their then up the hill in the middle of the day one August boy it was hot! One of my friends told me to go as she is from b buggiia If you go to the cross it is meant to clear your ailments..... bizarrely my chronic asthmatic son only had one bad attack which hospitalised him since his visit 5/6 years ago......
Steve, you made it and did not know about it. The fortifications of the Bronze Age of Borg-in-Nadur is the wall you could see when you were on top of the mound where the cross was. The Temple itself is behind that and you could have walked around to get in the “Back” way without having to go all the way around to the front entrance. I spent a lot of time playing in the temple in the 60’s. it was just a ruin then and not looked after by anybody. We did not do and damage but had fun as kids do. Thanks for the memories.
Hey Joe ...Yes I could have kicked myself ...I noticed that wall !! But was filming and know idea ..but now i realized what it was, At the moments was thinking its a little bit strange wall near the cross, I had no idea what to expect had never been before just a lucky surprise to come across the grotto and cross ..Now part 2 is delayed due to the shutdown ..Hey thanks Joe for the comment
What a shame it was closed, I'll look forward to you coming again... I bet there's lots of places closed, there's no tourists coming! It's the same here in the UK, everything is closed 😔 Can't wait for normality ❤ 🇲🇹
at 3.54 im seeing 2 small doors blocked off with a wooden door. are these some caves or something? im asking since im interested in ghost hunts with my team member. well done for the video. very nice though
Yes it could be caves or some kind of rock dwellings the doorways are cut ..I have no idea , But funny enough someone contacted me who knows the person that takes care of that place, and knows the story behind the area ,,So lets see what comes out of IT ??
Lisa, those “Blocked” doors you see are small tunnels leading to rooms in the back, they were dug and used during WWII as air raid shelters. Just at the start of Steve’s walk you can see a boatyard on his left. That used to be a big petrol depo and there used to be a pipe line running all the way up to were the cross is, and beyond, leading to a hidden petrol dump at the back of Ghar-Dalam.
Where you walked my nans house is behind top floor it looks straight over all of that it’s so nice and can see the harbour and everything
Thanks interesting , Love that area ,
Another hidden gem. Beautiful. The restaurant at 15.00 is very good. It's run by a lovely friendly lady.
