Pierre I'm very interested in Maltese history, been to museums read books but your blogs makes me actually feel the history rather than just studying it. Many thanks and I hope your vlogs are preserved for future generations, and I agree the roofs of that building were something special. Many many thanks.
Prosit Pierre we live in Kalkara and not aware of all this beauty. I must take this opportunity to thank the 'Wirt il Kalkara' for doing a magnificent job throughout.
A big thank you dear Pierre Farrugia for your exploration in this villa which was damaged during WW2 and abandoned since then. Appreciate what you have showed. Somewhere I have read that it was used by the officers of Bighi Hospital.
Thanks for your comments, and something new, didn’t know was damaged during the war, Kalkara is a special place for me , since I lived there when I was born .
Very interesting place i am from cospicua and used to go for a swim in the bay very often when young. I`ve never been in this place . You can see that ceiling structure in the President`s palace in Valletta. It has been a very good effort by you for us to experience this villa . WELLDONE.
Unfortunately far too little funding appears to be available for the preservation of the stunningly beautiful history of the Maltese Islands. Sadly it would appear to be a different matter when it comes to new build monstrosities though!
The bone you picked up is probably part of a humerus, easily mistaken for a femur. Well done on putting the bone down and reporting it to the authorities for further investigation
OMG very impressive. so big and so well kept. i love the limestone design. the arches and the roof design are incredible. well done. will come and visit this place with my ghost hunt team.
Thank you SO very much for this, habib!! This place looks amazing, especially as you say the architecture!! I will 100% visit soon!! Again, as you say the ships & sails graffiti are often OLD. How amazing. *Gozo boy for 10yrs, by the way 👍
@@PierreFarrugia Never noticed that 'Villa' below 🤔 . I know Bighi Hospital, two of my nephews were born there as my late eldest brother was in RAF. Cheers mate 👍 🇲🇹 🇪🇺.
Thanks Pierre. I enjoyed your tour of Villa Bichi. I used to love going exploring around old historical sites in Malta!! If you had a drone, you could have sent it up to photograph the upper levels in safety! Btw, I am no expert, but perhaps those underground chambers with the openings in the ceiling could have been grain/food stores. The drawings of the ships could have been made by a prisoner/slave kept down there... tied up ?? Very interesting to think about it. I'll check out your other videos. Thanks again!
I wish I had known about these places on your channel, I visited Malta every year for 12 years until recently, been to some abandoned places on the island, maybe one day I will return. Subscribed😁
Hello Pierre another interesting vlog.I never heard of this place so I watched it with great interest.Could this place have been used as a hospital during any of the world wars?.I remember that used to be a Bighi hospital. Thanks for your enthusiasm and dedication to bring us this kind of interesting heritage.👍Sahha
For your safety you can use a safety helmet all those stones over your head . Don't take me wrong with all respect. On the other had a very big well done

Beautiful Villa! It should be preserved.

We should give more attention to our heritage!

What a Shame the state its in such a sad story about beautiful houses and villa's just left to collapse
Lots of history there and beautiful ceilings , totally agree

Yes it's a shame.😫

My apologies to be cheeky, but have actually sent you a message asking for a little advice 🙏

Beautiful architecture in Maltese stone 🏘. Another part of Malta's heritage crumbling down 😢. Pierre I read last year that they were doing nightime "Paranormal Trails" 👻 @ old Bighi Hospital 🏥. Thanks for sharing 🚶 ⛑ 🔦 🏘 🎥 👏.
Cheers Pierre 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ©.
This villa is just under the hospital

Thanks as always , I don't think so, as they were using the hospital 100m away. But heard was used by a high ranking British Army official.
Nice Vid Pierre...
Thanks
Was thus part of the original VillaBichi?
No this is an other Villa below, around 100m away
Going into places like this you should wear protective aqiupment like safety hat It was very dangerous to walk around
I always do, especially in caves and underground , check other videos. I this one I didn’t see the need . But never a bad idea .
It is like a prison for the sailors.
interesting theory
Anything is done to restore this to it's original state!!!!!!
Unfortunatly nothing I know of
It’s a shame that the Maltese have absolutely no respect for their culture.
Let’s say some 😉
