I just bought it yesterday. I use it with the Osmo Action. It's nice. Does a nice job usually, but has some problems. The biggest one is that you must use it together with the RockSteady EIS, because without it, like when I tried it at night, the footage is verry shaky. Not big shakes, but small annoying shakes. The second problem is that it sometimes goes crazy and for some reason the camera simply turns around to face the opposite side, or up side down and I cannot fix it. Third problem is the it is not completely horizontally leveled and it take time to do it manually. Also, the hold of the gimbal covers some of the screen of the camera, which makes it impossible to use some of the menus because you cannot use the whole screen. So it's great, but mostly at night, and you have to pay attention how you mount the camera just right and level it just right. But It has to be straight in the center, so every time you press the record button (you can only operate the GoPro from the gimbal, PLEASE Hoem, make it also compatible to Osmo Action), you move the camera and its out of balance.
I have this gimbal. It works pretty good. The only complaint is not being able to charge while in use. I know that the gimbal can charge the camera, but that's still only a few hours of power. What if you want to do an all night, or all day time-lapse? A program change that would allow either charging while in use, or operating from power supplied by an outside source like a power bank or a USB 110 plugin is needed. I also have the pro3 gimbal. I contacted Hohem through e-mail and ask about controlling 2 gimbals, either in synchronized movement, or separately, from the same app/phone. They're reply was that it is not possible to control 2 from the same app. You have to use 2 phones/tablets, one hooked to each gimbal. They did say it is a good idea, and they would pass it to the tech people.
@@shahintdm3653 It wont work with the media mod. If you don't like or want to use the mic on the gopro you could record on a separate sound recorder. I just use the gopro mic.
i own isteady pro3 gimbal. overall it's a perfect product.great internal battery, no sound smooth motors movement,don't tire arm while continue use. the only minus is difficulty to charge camera and use accessory at same time.
I like how you show it mounted to a chestmount. 4 videos deep on this product nobody had it mounted to anything. As a mountain biker I cant really hold it, needed to see if it CAN be done 🎉

Also you didn't put a link for the rectangular shaped piece that slides onto the chest strap, what is that and is there a link for it? I think it is safe to say that even if not, still, you can shoot 5.3k videos in 16:9 without crop (by deactivating hyper-smooth so there is no crop) taking advantage of the full image size pf the sensor, then cut out in post the part you need for vertical mode. I guess you need that for social-media, am I right?
Do you have a video about the side threaded connector being used to set up as a wearable gimbal? I'm trying to figure out how to use that screw hole to attach the gimbal to a backpack strap clip that has a 1/4 inch screw post.
Can you tell me if there are any difficulties if I use Enduro batteries in gopro 10 and this gimbal? I think this battery is a bit heavier than the standards.

I bought the I steady Pro4 and use with a Hero 8 Black. My question is why does the power button on the Pro 4 not turn off my Gopro. It turns it on just fine. The reason I want to turn it off is to save battery life between recordings. I use an external mic and have the camera mounted to where you can't access the power button without disassembly. Not osmo action compatible. The osmo is small and barley holds on to this gimbal. Plus the brackets that hold the gimbal cover a big amount of screen. Hope they come up with some adapter or the next version hope they have a bracket that can come off and on for any action camera

I just got one today and was trying the inception mode. The motor locks after about 50% rotation and then I have to rotate it through the joystick anti clockwise to release it. Is this an expected behavior or some kind of defect?

So... nun 4 Monate später, nachdem ich hier einen Kommentar gemacht habe, stehe ich nun vor der Entscheidung, welches Gimbal es für meine Hero 10 werden soll. Wie man auch bei deinem Video gut erkennen kann, sind die Aufnahmen ohne der Hypersmooth-Funktion zwar einigermaßen akzeptabel, aber für einen guten Videoschnitt trotzdem nicht brauchbar. Und einen Gimbal mit eingeschaltetem Hypersmooth zu benutzen, halte ich persönlich für vollkommen sinnlos. Dass somit die Aufnahmen super werden, ist dann selbstverständlich, aber dazu bräuchte ich kein Hohem iSteady Pro 4 gimbal. Ich würde einen Gimbal nur für schlechte Lichtverhältnisse benötigen, bei dem Hypersmooth komplett aus ist (um eben die Artefakte und "Verwackler" der Hypersmoothfunktion ausschließen zu können). Aber was ist nun die Alternative? INKEE Falcon Plus mit dem man zwar die Hero 10 ansteuern kann, jedoch die Stabilisierung noch schlechter ist, als bei Hohem iSteady Pro 4? Den ZHIYUN CRANE M2 mit dem man aber die Hero10 nicht fernsteuern kann (und knapp doppelt so teuer ist)? Oder sogar ZHIYUN CRANE M2S mit dem man die Hero 10 auch nicht fernsteuern kann (was ich als Schande finde im Jahr 2022) , aber dafür ein Licht für den Nahbereich hätte (zudem fast 3 Mal so teuer ist)? Ich bin wirklich auf der Suche nach einer guten Lösung für Aufnahmen bei schlechten Lichtbedingungen für meine Hero 10. Hättest du eine Alternative für mich? Nachdem du der "Gimbal Guru" bist, dachte ich mir ich frage dich um Rat :-)! Danke dir! LG

No. It will not turn on while it's being charged. Probably the biggest flaw with this gimbal. It can run a preset program to move at a set speed to capture long videos or time-lapses, but the power limits the length of the shot.
despise this P.O.S. I just waisted 2 hours trying to get this garbage to calibrate, and just when you think it worked it drifts all wonky. Then, when you change modes, often times it gets stuck and just starts glitching out. Fully updated firmware too.

No under slung mode? Deal breaker.

Appears to be poorly laid out. The gimbal blocks your view of the rear screen. Hard to get a good shot if you can't see what you are doing.
