Really they are peaceful animals. They just want to be left alone, or they want food. They won’t hurt you, unless you touch their quills…then it is the quills you have to pull out.

The porcupine will not hurt you. It might be a female if it makes this kind of noise, but maybe not. The noises they make are just what they do! If the porcupine felt threatened, it would not be talking to you, it would turn its back and show his/ her quills, and probably be quiet. If your friend porcupine approaches you, he or she is looking for food or something. They don’t see that well. They are harmless vegetarians.
I could listen to these sounds all day. That is the most adorable sound in the world!
