Prehensile-Tailed Porcupines live throughout central and South America, making their lives in the canopy eating fruits, leaves, shoots, and other delicious vegetation. In the wild, they would not talk as much as Kemosabe, because they wouldn't want to call attention to themselves and Kemo is, apparently, more vocal than most captive porcs. But that is definitely our gain because I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

The Dutch word for porcupine is stekelvarken, which literally translates to “stick pig”. It is my favorite Dutch word.
That’s what it means in every language I know. Porcupine means “spine pig” in latin.
In spanish is puercoespín. Literally means "spine-pig"

Kimosabe’s cute little sounds got me thru weeks and weeks of multiple daily injections and occasionally stressful treatments, I loop his video and listen to it to forget the needles and anxiety... he is my little hero 💕

First Brazilian Porcupine I saw was about a week ago. His name is Rico from the Cincinnati Zoo and he was eating corn on the cob. They are the cutest animals and I think their nose looks like pink felt nice and soft.

Mine's light pink, the one on the left of the card it came with. If it's like last month's, the common one is on the left or the card, the uncommon one is on the right, and the rare isn't pictured (usually sparkly)

All of you who say that he is annoying and talk too much need to listen more, he is actually explaining about the animal and in which conditions it is living. I see many people judging that it should be free in the wild while not actually listening to the guy in front of you, plus all of what he is saying is extremely interesting and gives insight on the animal itself.

That is certainly an adorable noise. The Lyre Bird still has the number one spot for awesome noises animals are capable of making. What that bird can do is insane.
I have told so many people about Kemo's noises and how amazing they are, and repeatedly: they don't believe me, I pull up animal wonders montana, and they concede defeat. Kemo is doing amazing and is such a great ambassador for his species.
I am obsessed with the cuteness of the noise he makes. I watch every video he's in.

@@TacticusPrime it can do a lot of damage to have one fall on you, too. A few years back there was a fire somewhere and the porcupines ran to the cities to survive and ended up on multiple headlines of actually sending people to the hospital for multiple head wounds from the spines.
