I hate this stingy technique of putting chips in a poxy small container so that you get about 8 of them. I’m surprised the peas weren’t in a thimble too..I suppose frozen peas are cheapest bit .. rubbish portions everywhere now!!
yeah hate that, a sneaky way to give you less chips to fill the plate with a bit of crockery. A scam. Best place to go to eat out is at Toby, you can serve yourself and see the food on display before buying it.
We have graduated from bent sausages to bent fish. The tartar sauce looked good. Rancid, Revolting and Repugnant is a nice alliteration.

That fish reminded me of the thin plastic fish sometimes found in a Christmas cracker that when you put it in the palm of your hand it curled up. I'm just wondering if that plastic fish was more edible than that served up by Tesco!
Tesco Cafe served us a baked spud and beans. The spud was raw in the middle and the beans were cold. Returned to kitchen and they came back boiling hot and the spud was rock hard. How do you mess up baked beans on a potato? Worst meal I ever had in a cafe. Never again Tesco.

Well that was a bit awkward lol - BUT I totally agree with you Lee, that was THE worst effort for fish and chips I've ever seen - you should have taken it back on your own and hopefully they wouldn't have had it in for your daughter once they realised just how bad it was - totally inedible, dried up and greasy. The cheese 'toastie' looked empty too - horrible! 1/10 just for the kids being fed. 🤢
Hygiene rating of 3 is pathetic for a top supermarket. Paige had the right intentions offering to buy you some dinner and take advantage of the Kids Eat free offers, just a shame Tesco let her down.
My missus works for M&S, they also have a kids eat free offer and the standards are (hopefully) much higher than Tesco.

Went to Morrisons two days ago for Fish & Chips and mushy peas, Fish was massive, the batter was crispy, the fish superb. The cost was £6.99 which I thought was very reasonable, Your Paying £10 - £12 from the Chippy with no Mushies.
Had am morrisons breakfast in feburary and it was a feeble warm escuse for a full English super market cafes need to get their act together chefs and staff are in the main bad😒
Mushy peas was optional, Lee went for garden peas, either way that wouldn't help with what Lee had here. I must say I am tempted to try Morisons' cafe.
Morrisons fish n chips in Chadderton also very good.
That salty towers in Stockport was much better than walking further to tesco. Grease on that fish would make my mum sick so she wouldn't order fish and chips incase it ended up being gready.

I can never understand why you toss your slice of lemon away. You practically drench your fish and chips in vinegar anyway so, there goes the 'lemon makes it soggy' theory! Yes, I have to agree with mrf9446 regarding the battered scorpion remark; my first thoughts exactly! Agreed, it really did look disgusting and you should have taken it back. It didn’t look great, especially the fish, however I USED to work in a similar style kitchen as a “cook” and it was ok until one day head office decided to cut right back on things, one of those things was oil changes.. we weren’t allowed to change the oil AT ALL untill 2 weeks has passed no matter how bad it made the food. I used to hate serving dark gross food like this but used to get warnings if I changed it before the date allowed. Absolutely ridiculous. So perhaps they are also under strict instructions 👎

I've tried some supermarket restaurants in the past if you can call them a restaurant from some of the crap they serve to people especially when they sell better produce in store..but yes I agree with Paige that the kids eat free so definitely worth taking the children there because most of the time they will eat anything because they don't know any different..but the trouble with these supermarket restaurants are they have got the wrong people running them who have not got a clue about how to cook and obviously not a clue about hygiene .. wished I could run one for a week they wouldn't what's it them Lol..and did you give your daughter Paige her £20 back 🤔😊

The fish was probably left under the heat lamps for far too long and forgotten about. The chips didn't look too bad. The offer with getting a free kids' meal and drink with any purchase is very good.
I was thinking the very same thing for when Lee went to IKEA the other day. They cook too many upfront and properly not a popular menu item. Most chippy will do them to order while you wait.

IMO the best videos you make come to life with your daughter. You both compliment each other in a positive and negative way. I reckon that fish meal was the worst I've ever seen in my entire life. The canteen probably doesn't have a dedicated manager so food like this will come out on a regular basis. Sometime you will get lucky... Not this time my friend. I couldn't see the problem, Lee, until 11.11. When I have a cod it's usually been swimming in the ice cold North Atlantic. According to the subtitles your fish was swimming in Greece! No wonder it was all curled up and wrinkled. It's due to the heat!!
