Wouldn't usually have supermarket fish chips as some top class Chippies up down the Country, but would be tempted by Morrisons if one was nearby, based on your video which prove so useful when deciding which eatery to use when particularly on one's travels.
That Morrisons one is actually the first time I might consider fish and chips not from the chippy. Though I'd prefer the fresh tartar sauce which Tesco gives you. Fresh milk makes no difference as I don't drink tea 😊
Fresh tartar sauce or home made is usually just bottled mayonnaise with some gherkin out of a jar thrown into it, don't be that easily impressed. Nobody is going to make their own mayonnaise with egg yolks oil etc just for you. Even the expensive restaurants give you a mix of gherkin and bottled mayo.
Okay, it’s me again commenting right at the very end of the video , I do think Morrisons looked the nicer all round fish and chips , However, it was that cup of tea you made at Tesco’s Had me salivating at the lips .
I was really impressed with the Morrisons fish and chips. I haven't had Morrisons fish and chips in a few years, the last ones I had were so bad I swore never again, but after seeing these, I may give them another go. Tesco looked alright as well, although I don't shop there very often. Great review.
I finally got around to my comment I think Tesco has won the day for me, Specially, with that gorgeous looking cup of tea you made , I didn’t look weak it was nice and strong .
I think the Morrisons looked better, definitely the fish... I did prefer the Tesco chips, though, I like thicker chips. Salt and vinegar are a must and I do like ketchup over tartare sauce. Great review.
Morrisons is the know supermarket cafe that actually has decent fish and chips I rate Morrisons more than a lot of the actual fish and chip shops in my area
This was a nice video! My grandparents sometimes go to tescos to get fish and chips and they sound like they love it!. But maybe next time recommend them to a Morrisons as I think they would like it more as the chips seemed really well cooked
A bit of advise Schoolboy error.... Always put vinegar on first THEN salt, they way you put it on the vinegar washes the salt off You will notice the difference, believe me.
Morrisons is very decent for standard food and price .it looks good. No complaints. I love British supermarkets . England really tninks of convenient for the coustomers and atmosphere of there stores . Both places actually looks delicious and worth it .🇦🇺.
Morrisons looked great and good value over Tesco who's price was what you would pay at a proper fish and chip shop eating in ... another thing l don't like is the way they put chips in a bowl on your plate ....makes a few look like more
For myself, aesthetically the Tescos looked better but can't really say without trying them both. Regarding the chips, neither of them looked close to being chippy chips. More like oven chips.
you can count the chips from Tesco. the pot just makes it look like a very small portion. the Fish looks bigger from Tesco but it was looking less in size and may be more batter. for the increase price amount over £10 then it makes it a loss for Tesco in the battle. Morrisons win due to size and price. still think a set of scales would help to see who give the bigger portion size.
as i just mentioned on another of your videos i live within walking distance to my Morrisons so it gets a visit every week, I alternate between fish and chips (with Garden peas) or sausage egg chips and beans, rarely been disappointed, but i have to say i don't touch the salt and vinegar, got to keep the weight down ;). i can't recall having fish and chips at my local Tesco, might try it next time. i do know im not the biggest fan of the chips, bit too chunky for my taste. but i still get them with a sausage muffin i usually order at tescos,

Morrisons looked nice but the trouble with Morrisons fish and chips is that they are very inconsistent, even in the same store. They have been good, but also terrible and it's a lot of money to pay for 'Russian Roulette'
It looked okay but when did Morrison's invent a fish that looked like the footprint of a Sasquatch/Bigfoot? The Tesco one looked more like an actual fish.
