Nice job I have a similar job coming up I hope I have your patience. I'm thinking of trying hydro blasting. That would make a swamp around the trailer. Thanks
Thanks for watching ! Never heard of hydro blasting, sounds like it would work similar to sand blasting. The wire wheel was very tiring on my arms to use all day.
I used 5 cans of Rustoleum High Performance Enamel which is a little taller than most spray paint cans. ( one coat) Good stuff! Thanks for watching : )
Great job! How's the paint job holding up? I've got a few old painted and galvanized trailers that are going to need this treatment. I'm considering cold galvanizing spray on the galvanized one and paint for my old 1969 painted EZ Loader.
Karl, what is the over all length of your trailer. From the coupler to the back of the frame. I have a trailer my boat is on but it is big. It’s 3 axles and I was thinking about down sizing. Thanks.
About one day cleaning and sanding all the rust off. One day for the primer ( Rust Reformer) and one day for the spray paint. So about three days total.
Karl that really looks Great. Nice job.
Thanks James ! Have a great day.

Love your trailer set up. I have an Oday 25 as well. Any chance you could provide trailer dimensions and specs?
That looks good! How many cans of spray paint did you use? Thanks!

@@karlsawesomeadventures9608 Do you know if that will work on a galvanized trailer? Thanks again!
@@rlyle5804 I think it would work, since it is made for coating different metals. Not 100 % sure though. Test out a very small area underneath first.

The Paint job still looks good ! I untarped the boat today after the long midwest winter. Good luck with your paint jobs. Thanks for watching 😃
looks great! can I pay you to do my Pontoon trailer now? haha
LOL : )
Why not Gel Coat ????

James, I think it's about 25 feet total length.
Thank you.
What grit did you use for sander?
I think it was 80 grit sandpaper on the orbital sander.
How long did this take you to do?
About one day cleaning and sanding all the rust off. One day for the primer ( Rust Reformer) and one day for the spray paint. So about three days total.
Was it galvanized?
I don't think it was galvanized. It had the original white paint from the factory. Not really sure how to tell if it was though.
Should’ve read the instructions. Not supposed to use that primer on galvanized metal
Dude strip your trailer first then paint everything
