You make life in New Zealand look so good you should get paid by the department of tourism.

Nothing more down to earth than a father teaching his kids to fish 🙂

that boatlaunch was perfectly executed. well done and indeed surprisingly hilarious with the running after the boat to catch it

I used to work for a boat trailer manufacturer. Every trailer was fully welded up then sent for hot-dip galvanising.

Always a good Saturday morning on the west coast of the US when you can have your coffee and watch Marty T fix an old trailer and have an outing with his family.

Brilliant restoration/design improvement. Nice video editing as well. I hope your kids learn how exceptional their Dad is someday!

  • @Bender_94

Thanks for sharing this Marty. Brought back my own memories of carefree childhood days on the boat. Oh to go back there now...

Beautiful family, beautiful part of the world to live, I was going to say you're a lucky man but I can see that you've worked hard for what you've got. Good on you bro.

As well as grease theres a product availiable here in NZ called Res-Q-Steel. For any nuts bolts etc going either near or in saltwater its 100% top of the pile in protecting the threads. Better than anything in the anti-seize family. Seen nuts n bolts underwater for 20 years just unscrew like new ones would. Bit $$$ to buy but oh so worth it. No good near heat like exhaust manifolds etc but near or in salt water theres nothing better. And a little goes a long long way. My brother when he was an apprentice marine engineer bought a 4 litre tub and it lasted him just on 25 years.

AWESOME trailer restoration Marty 👍👍and a very amusing boat launching technique too 😆 👍

  • @robertburns3014

Nice work, Marty! That trailer should be good for many years to come. I love to watch you transform some old piece of iron into a functioning, "better than brand-new" tool for work or for your own personal enjoyment. 😊

Your idea of placing an o-ring over the axle pin is great.

You are the epitome of self-reliance and ingenuity. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in a very non pompous kind of way. Cheers and best wishes from northern Utah. 😊

This video must be "the best all-rounder" of anything currently on UA-cam - -and New Zealand to boot.

  • @tbirdracefan

The shot at the end with your kid driving the boat instantly brought back very fond memories of my dad sharing the operation of the boat with me when I was a rather small kid.
