I enjoyed your video. It was informative and the bonus was how your animals were part of the video. It was heart warming and showed not only are you knowledgeable but have a warm heart for nature and animals☺️👏💓
Dan I always preferred OP seeds for my vegetables but this year particularly I have thought of giving it up because of the very low resistance to disease like root knot nematode, fungal and bacterial diseases. Actually this year I grew a very plants of hybrid type (Brinjal) and they all are doing very well and producing very well in open environment (during rainy season as well) but the OP variety were really struggling and I had to prune them twice and remove all those yellow leaves affected by fungus. I am tired now.
Thanks for this! No one else seems to address it and I was looking for this info. One of my favorite hybrid tomatoes wasn't available this year and I was wondering if, the next time I find them, I can grow them for several generations to make them open pollinated and save seeds so this doesn't happen again.
Very interesting stuff. For the longest time, I didnt even know it was possible to have an open pollinated Hybrid. I think its fascinating. I love your chickens by the way. Is that a silver laced Polish you have???
Selective breeding. Select the One that looks the most like the one you were trying to stabilize. Then plant the seeds from that. And do that year after year until it comes back the same.
Your girls are precious.... I love having chats with my girl. Its like we really do understand each other. Just what she says n how she says it... Yea, i know im weird. But its whatever,,, lol
