- We caught up with Brett LaSala of @realstreetperformance and MSR Racing at Sick Week 2023 to get the details of his Mustang nicknamed Snot Rocket and its twin-turbo 5.0L Coyote engine built by Fast Forward Race Engines. He had just run a PR of 6.52 at 212 mph and then went on to place 3rd overall and win the Modified class. Engine of the Week is brought to you by @penngrade1motoroil830, @elringdasoriginaland NPW Companies.

Bas ass car Brett, I know the GM guys are feeling hurt by this Coyote. Great job to the whole team!
The older 4.6 4V has yet to be topped on oe block, heads, timing components and crank. John Mihovetz prepped, made 3,000 hp @ 10,000 rpm @ Westech dyno ultimately running 5.88 @ 256mph. Twin cam fords are king of oem performance.
Awesome interview! Great content!
Brett LaSala Awesome car and results are 😎 Keep up the great work.
This motor needs to go in a pro mod
Update
6 33 @ 225mph
Saw that! Crazy performance!
Very impressive
Thanks for the content. Love that 5.0. Now could you go 5.8 Liter Coyote. MMR have the blocks and stroker. Their in the 5.80's in Pro Mod with only a 5.8 I believe.
5.67 @ 265mph
Is that a one piece two piece front end?
It’s a three piece, two regular pieces and a large piece of “butt hurt” for those that look for excuses as to why all they see is that rear end of this coyote
@@Hammerback972👍
This is an engine channal but the key to snot rocket is the suspension.
😂 I think 2500rwhp is just as important and did so with more oe stuff than anyone else at the moment . Ford hater?
@@chadkent1241 Ford hater? All the money I spent on my first car I paid for, 91 GT and turning my 96 Cobra into drag race car says different. I was just saying, it is hard to put that much power to a street car and get it to go down the track consistently.
@@chadkent1241 you seem ignorant
I kind of agree lots of cars at Sick Week are making the same or more HP but not putting it down. But it's still only 302 CI can'targue it ain't making insane HP for those cubes. How many 302 LS making 2800 HP?
Another coyote just showing how inferior the ls is
You mean sleeved predator with forged Manley pistons and rods, comp cams and race bearings 😂 also not to mention running on a tube chassis 😂 oh and a General Motors transmission uffff 😂 Tom Bailey still king 👑
@DodgeandGMkiIIingFurdDaiIy where's the equal ls/imoprt trash? Right. You still can't admit your trash takes billet parts and STILL gets smoked by oe Furds. You're a joke dude. Lame ignorant troll that likes slower cars. Facts don't care about your feelings.
Get your ignorant ass out of here.
@@DodgeandGMkiIIingFurdDaiIyTom Bailey wasn't king this last weekend and put ANY oe GM motor in Tom's car and it'd be a turd. 😂
@DodgeandGMkiIIingFurdDaiIy where's the factory block, factory head, factory crank GM motor this fast? I know you're a troll but I wish you'd stop giving idiots the fuel to push a false narrative.
@@slickdaddy8408Why do coyotes guys obsessed with calling shit “stock”, a sleeved block is not stock, ported/full after market valvetrain heads are not stock, even the crankshaft comes forged which again isn’t nearly as impressive as y’all make it out to be
The car itself is badass, Coyote is a badass platform but why do people feel the need to make this shit up
Awesome car Ford powered forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them boties and the horns off them mopars l love it great video
